Reincarnated as a Crimson Demon in Konosuba: Now What?

Latest season of Konosuba gave me a little motivation to rewrite an old fanfic of mine for fun. A little cringe, you have been warned! This Fanfic is centred around a young man who died at the hands of truck-kun. See the journey of the guy who is reborn into Konosuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!

Oh, my God!

Darkness enveloped me, and a sense of unease settled in my bones. Something wasn't right. Movement was sluggish, and panic gnawed at the edges of my mind as I struggled to orient myself. It felt akin to being submerged in water.

Was it the dead of night in Axel, or had I been cast adrift on some unfathomable river or sea?

Just as I teetered on the brink of a terrifying revelation, exhaustion overcame me like a tidal wave, and I fell asleep instantly.

-Day 1-

The next time I woke up, the sensation was still present, and I felt a surge of anger building up inside me.

There was no way this was happening. It couldn't be real.

Was this some kind of sick joke?

Did I seriously just- just...

-Day 2-

When I came to again, I managed to calm myself down and think things through. Aqua had royally screwed up, as usual - typical of the Useless Goddess.

But hey, at least I wasn't six feet under.

Now, the burning question: would I still get my cheats?

- Day 4-

I'm beyond bored.

Should I resort to training like those fantasy novel protagonists who somehow acquire skills even before they're born?

But how on earth would I manage that? I can't exactly go out and slay monsters to level up.

Maybe I should have wished for a system or something.

-Day 30-

If I weren't sleeping most of the time, I might just resort to gnawing on my own tongue and end up becoming a fetus. A bit extreme? I think so too.

-Day 35-

Let me share my backstory while I'm stuck in this place:

It was a dark night, just after we left the theatre through the back alley. My parents and I encountered a hitman, who swiftly took their lives, leaving me behind.

From that moment, everything changed.

With only my loyal butler derfla and the inheritance my parents left behind, I withdrew from society for years.

When I finally mustered the courage to step outside again, fate dealt me another blow - I was struck by a truck and met my demise.

But before my final breath, I made sure to donate all my wealth to charity, hoping to leave a positive mark on the world.

Sad story, I know, and I swear I didn't copy it from my favorite superhero origin story.

However, none of that matters now. I've been granted another chance at life, and in this new chapter, I'm determined to be better, to embrace adventure, and make the most of every moment.

-Day 69-

The wind is howling like this swirling storm insi...

-Day 100-

I've already sung all the songs I know. What should I do now?

-Day 125-

I'm utterly bored.

"Mom, sing me a song, please," I gently kicked against her abdomen, seeking some form of entertainment.

By this point, I was fed up; I had almost forgotten I was in the process of being reborn.

But then, a glimmer of light and hope emerged. It felt like I was a miner trapped in a cave, finally spotting an exit.

Amidst my celebration, the only sound I could produce was the unmistakable cry of a newborn. Tears flowed freely down my face as I emerged from the depths of hell.

At last, I was liberated.

Then, a voice filled with anticipation pierced the air. "Grandma, is it a boy or a girl?"

I turned to find a man in his late twenties, his dark brown hair framing piercing crimson eyes. Standing tall at 6'2", he possessed sharp, symmetrical features that exuded undeniable handsomeness.

Clad in long black pants neatly tucked into brown leather boots, he wore a simple white button-up long-sleeved shirt, also tucked in.

Beside him, a woman rested on the bed beneath a soft fur blanket. Her hair and eyes mirrored the man's, and her face boasted remarkable beauty, reminiscent of Aqua's grace and elegance.

Despite her beauty, the woman appeared exhausted, as if on the verge of collapse. It dawned on me that she must be my mother, with the man beside her likely my father.

But who was the girl cradling me? As I shifted my gaze towards her, I caught a glimpse of a gentle smile gracing her face. She couldn't have been more than 15 years old.

I couldn't help but wonder, was she my new sister?

"It's a boy," the girl declared, responding to my father's earlier query.

Wait... But why would she respond? Isn't she supposed to be my sister? No way, she can't be my grandma?! She's far too young.

Is she a vampire? Immortal? Maybe, she does have red eyes like the ones in Twilight.

Or maybe my grandpa is just into younger looking girls? No, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he looked the same at that age. Where is he anyway? Unless he's dead, surely he wouldn't miss the birth of his grandson.

As I took in my surroundings, I couldn't help but notice the medieval vibe of the room. It was then that I spotted an old man leaning against the wall beside a door. He stood an imposing 7 feet tall, with muscles that looked like they could rip his clothes to shreds.

And there it was again: red eyes and black hair.

I was stunned as I quickly I realized that they shared the same hair color and eyes as Megumin. It couldn't have been a coincidence, could it?

And then, as if struck by lightning, it dawned on me. Oh my God! I think I had been reborn into the Crimson Demon Clan!
