Reign of the Time Gap Queen

Time Gap Queen and the Alpha Apex Predators series will continue on in this Novel. Time is at the brink of running out for Kai to find a safe place to hide Victoria from the Vampire Covenant as other threats begin to rise. Vampires from other dimensional worlds begin to lurk on Earth as they await the go-ahead to kill Victoria. Worry strikes Kai's mind and heart because he doesn't know if she'll get her votes, but even if she does, it's inevitable that vampires from every species will strike to kill his mate. With time slipping away, he and his friends also keep trying to search for Grandpa Vlad, the Collin Coven Headmaster because he needs his help to prepare for a rumored vampiric World War Three to transpire. Not to mention, it's time they all faced their biggest rivals who want to steal Victoria and Kai's sister-in-law Zoey to make their Coven the strongest. Can Kai take on these threats from other Alpha vampires that either want his mate for themselves or wish to kill her? Will Kai be able to transform Victoria into her true form as a vampiress or will her fate to live be demised too soon? While Kai and his friends are doing what it takes to ensure his pregnant mate survives long enough to turn her on the Brightest Blue Moon, Victoria still struggles to keep her time-gap gift under control. As the Brightest Blue Moon nears, her psychic time-gap gift to mentally travel to the past keeps getting stronger. At the same time, she's trying to prepare herself for motherhood to care for her immortal babies. Nothing gets any easier when she has a ton of maniac vampires and their Alphas trying to kill her. In her futile attempt to keep herself and her unborn vamp babies protected against these intelligent vampires, she learns quickly that it's nearly impossible. As usual, she fights for her survival. At the same time, she's drawn closer to Kai because of the blue moon, but a part of her heart is still snared by her first lover. Between their ups and downs as a fated couple, they always find a way to balance each other. The first novel called: "Time Gap Queen and the Alpha Apex Predators" is still under editing and needs to be rewritten to fix some flaws I made with the FL, but it is completed. "DO NOT" let those flaws reflect on this novel because it will take time to fix them. This is my first time writing a series like this, so it's been a learning experience for me with writing a Fl. The story isn't all romance. This storyline runs deeper than that, and the vampires aren't weak. Also, it's only labeled as historical because the FL can mentally travel to past events in ancient times. This second Novel will be dark, gory, murderous, bloody, and steamy hot like the first one. You've been warned. Further warnings will be added as needed in certain chapters. I recommend reading the first novel before starting this one to avoid some confusion. If not, just let things play out in this novel as recaps will be added to grasp certain events and the vampires' way of life. Overall, the story will take a whole new direction, so you can read it as a standalone if you wish. I will leave reference chapters from the first novel for you to read if you want to glance at it. Enjoy the action and suspense with these bloodthirsty vampires and vampiresses. Feel free to follow me on Discord: sara88#4303

**Ch 36: Appearance of Authority

Early sunrise, Kai and I got up to get ready to leave. Instead of parting separate ways, like we usually do after I am done getting ready. He walked me out to my car, and he got into the driver's seat.

"After you drive me to the campus, what are your plans for today?" I kindly asked him.

"I'll be following you around for your safety. I need to see if I can find out who that wing vampiress is," Kai replied as he started to drive along the curved driveway.

"I love that idea." I giggled.

No lie, I was thrilled that he'd be with me today until the excitement dwindled because of Kai's odious demeanor. He didn't seethe his dominance because the stride of his gothic black leather boots sauntered strongly beside me before we entered my first class. I swallowed hard because everybody observed my husband. They were ambivalent about his arrival today since he held authority over them. There was once a time when nobody knew Kai Collin. Now, there wasn't a soul on campus or in America who didn't know he was Mr. Collin's son.

Envy banefully manipulated the guys from his presence when they stared at him because he was prepotent in his authority. Then you had the ladies who eyed him like a candy dish until they would glare at me with a questionable gaze as to how I got the ring on my finger over them. Without the need to question it, I already knew Kai was out of my league. Destiny fated me to be evermore his, unlike before, I feel blessed to have him in my life.

An hour had gone elsewhere with the time, and before I knew it, we were already in Mrs. Nasberry's class, and I certainly saw she was excited to see her nephew and me together.

"Class, we'll be having a special visitor throughout the week. Mr. Collin has asked his son to analyze the University for classroom performance. Do not disturb him or stand in his way," Mrs. Nasberry sternly warned as she lied about the actual reason why he was here today.

However, her warning wasn't an understatement because Kai would tear them apart if anybody got on his nerves. Mrs. Nasberry knows what a preternatural killer Kai can be. He'd feast himself on the entire classroom. Today, I was glad Nora wasn't here because she was still terribly sick. Kai took a seat with me at the top back row of the stairs in the classroom. Once everyone was seated, Mrs. Nasberry started her lecture while Kai closely observed everyone from our high-peak advantage.

An hour later, Professor Nasberry concluded for the day. "Before I end for today, I'd like to announce that we will be starting another assignment. On this assignment, you and the same partners you worked with from your last project are to create an investigation portfolio. You will write a fictional murder mystery novel. Each portfolio has your instructions inside it, which label the crime and the victim. You and your partner are to add background bios for each suspect, and create detectives for your story. Be creative since you'll have until March to work on it. If no one has any questions, you're all dismissed for today, and remember to pick up your assigned portfolio."

On that go-ahead, everyone collected their belongings and started to leave once they grabbed their assigned portfolio. As I was taking mine, Kai was briefly talking to his Aunt. While I was reading through Nora's and my portfolio, I giggled.

"What's your assignment?" Kai questioned me since he saw me chuckling over it.

"The victim is a billionaire man who was murdered, and the main suspects are his wife and the maids." I shared as his Aunt started to laugh.

Aunt Nasberry commented with a chuckle. "I figured you'd like the one I picked for you and Nora to work on."

"I don't think I approve of this assignment," Kai smirked, peeking at it before I closed the portfolio folder.

"Are you afraid it might give me ideas on how to plot your death?" I teased, kissing his lips.

Kai chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist, "You read my mind."

"You two better run along now before you're late for your next class." Mrs. Nasberry was sure to interrupt the romance between us. We laughed at her and then said our goodbyes as her next class came rushing in.

"Where to next?" Kai asked, glancing at my schedule in his hand as we walked outside.

"Professor Mark's class."

"That's where Stella is at?" he seemingly grinned.

"...Yes." I gave a short reply.

His uncanny grin made me hesitate

to respond to him. After walking into class, we got the same gawks we had gotten all morning. Even Professor Mark is intimidated by Kai's sudden appearance.

"Hey! How have you been?" Stella hugged me. "And you are?" she beamed at Kai until it faded when he gave her the cold shoulder by taking a seat in the chair slightly back from our table.

"He's my husband. Don't mind him. He's not much of a people person," I defended.

Afterward, we took a seat, and Kai narrowly focused on Stella while we worked. Thank goodness, Professor Mark's class finally ended five minutes earlier.

"Are we still having lunch?" Stella asked as she fetched her stuff from the table.

"Well... I guess we could..." My broken voice withered as I stared back diagonally over my shoulder at Kai, but he didn't seem to care. Out the door, Stella and I chatted while Kai remained silent as we strolled to the cafe.

"Aren't you hungry?" Stella smiled when she asked Kai, but he refused to glimpse at her when he sat in the booth.

"He doesn't like eating in front of people," I excused him.

"Very anti-social," Stella concluded. "They have counselors who could help you with that."

"We've been working on it," I lied, pulling her away, so we could get in line at the cafe.

If she kept trying to talk to him, he was going to end up ripping her head off. After we ate, we parted ways from Stella, so Kai and I continued the day.

"Could you try to be a little nicer towards people?" I implied nicely.

Kai gruffed. "Just be glad I haven't killed anyone yet!"

I hated how he emphasized the word "yet." The good news of his presence on the campus is that he sent most of the lurking vampires away. More on the bad news, Kai's appearance brought in the Alphas. Just by their stance, I could tell they were Alphas because they held their heads high as we passed them above us on the rooftops, or they were on ground level. Guardian-ranked vampires cower to an Alpha, but not Alphas. No, Alphas don't cower. I thought as we entered my next class.

Thank you for the powerstones. I greatly appreciate them from last week and this week. Please leave a review to give me a rating. Feel free to leave me any comments and share your feedback.

I'm working on changes with the FL to hopefully improve her character. Feel free to let me know if I am pulling it off or not. This is my first time writing a series like this, but I'm noting my mistakes.

Lastly, this chapter may be mellow but has a point to it that will come into play later on.
