CHAPTER SIX

We stood in silence for a moment, both lost in our own thoughts. I wanted to comfort her, to let her know that she wasn't alone, but I didn't know how. Instead, I decided to change the subject.

"So, do you have any hobbies or interests besides studying?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.

She looked up at me, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, I love music. I play the piano, and I enjoy singing too. It helps me relax and escape from everything."

That's wonderful," I replied, genuinely interested. "I also enjoy music. Maybe we can play together sometime."

Her smile grew wider. "I would love that. It's been a while since I've had someone to play music with."

I felt a sense of connection forming between us. Despite our initial animosity, there was something about Olive that intrigued me. She had a depth to her that I hadn't expected, and I wanted to explore it further.

The rest of the evening was spent talking and getting to know each other better. We discovered shared interests, exchanged stories, and laughed together. It was a rare moment of genuine connection and friendship.

"I should probably get some sleep," I finally said, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between us.

Olive nodded, her eyes filled with a mixture of emotions. "Yeah, it's getting late. Thank you for tutoring me today, Sydney. I actually enjoyed it."

"The pleasure was all mine," I replied with a genuine smile.

With a final goodbye, I left her room and made my way back to the guest room. As I lay in bed, my mind was filled with thoughts of Olive. Right then my phone rang. Dad was displayed on the screen. I immediately picked it up before the second ring .

"Have you done exactly what I told you to do?" He asked. "Don't worry over anything, it's all in place," I relieved him of his worry. "Well that's good to hear,"

After making sure everyone was asleep. I crept around looking for something. A clue to the puzzle. "What are you doing here?,Was Olive not asleep yet! I came up with any excuse I could find. "I was thirsty and came to look for some water," The moment that left my mouth I heard how stupid I sounded. "So you are looking for water in the library?no you're up to something," she moved closer to me and tried to get what was in my hand.

"It's just a book," I said moving towards me. She tripped and fell hitting something. "Are you okay?" I got her up . "Am okay, "she wipped the dust off her.

Damn why did she have to be here now especially when I was getting to the middle of something. But before I could voice my frustration, we heard the enchanting sound of creek water in the distance, growing louder by the second.

Intrigued, we followed the sound, unsure of what lay ahead. As we approached, a mysterious glow emanated from behind a door covered in intricate carvings. It seemed to beckon us.

"What is beyond the door?"I walked towards it curiously. " I have no idea I have never seen it before," she looked equally shocked.

Without hesitation, we pushed open the door, and our surroundings transformed in an instant. We found ourselves standing in a breathtaking world filled with vibrant colors and magical creatures. The air was thick with a sweet scent of flowers, and the sound of birds singing filled our ears.
