Chapter 25: Learning Fuinjutsu

After the successful deal, Hijiri was escorted by Aika around the village to familiarize him with it.

The next day he was brought by Aika to meet his new fuinjutsu teacher.

They entered a house and they met a young woman. She was a beautiful woman with red hair, black eyes, and a purple rhombus-like marking on her forehead.

(Aika): "Elder Kinu, this is the disciple assigned to you by Leader Ashina."

(Kinu): "Hmm, let me see. He is a bit old to start learning fuinjutsu. He has passed the golden period of learning, besides he is not a Uzumaki and it will be even more difficult for him to learn. However, I will do my best to teach him."

(Aika): "Thank, you Elder Kinu."

(Hijiri): "Thank you, Teacher Kinu."

(Kinu): "Fufufu, it was quite some time that someone called me teacher."

Aika excused herself and left the house, returning to her ninja duties.

(Kinu): "Now. As a first thing, I will test you to understand your fuinjutsu knowledge."

She took out some papers with some questions about the basics of fuinjutsu and Hijiri easily answered them. Then she made him create fuinjutsu scrolls that should have this or that function.

In the end, she stated: "Your knowledge is quite good even if it has some gaps. These show up in your practical applications. But your chakra control is the best one I have ever seen. I will start filling in your basic misconceptions about fuinjutsu and then we can start looking through intermediate fuinjutsu."

(Hijiri): "Yes, Teacher."

The rest of the day was spent with Kinu teaching Hijiri and patiently answering his questions. Hijiri was ecstatic. Since then, he had to learn everything by himself and now that someone was guiding him his path seemed a lot smoother.

Kinu, on her part, was more satisfied with her new student every moment. He not only had the drive, but he also had the brain needed to excel in fuinjutsu.

The day after, Kinu gave him a bunch of scrolls: "These scrolls contain what you need to know to start dabbling with intermediate seals. Study them and then come here if you have any questions."

As soon as she finished speaking they heard a polite knock on the door. Then a beautiful 17-year-old girl entered the house. Like Kinu, she had red hair and two seal tags were used as earrings.

(Girl): "Hi teacher, I'm here for today's lesson. Is this your new student? Hi, my name is Mito. You can call me Big Sister Mito if you wish." 

(HIjiri): 'Wow this must be HAshinama's future wife. So we are fellow students now.' "Hi, Big Sister Mito. It's an honor to meet you. My name is Hijiri Hyuga. I will be in your care."

(Kinu): "I am happy that you two are getting along. Now, though Mito has her lessons and Hijiri has to study. Chop chop."

Hijiri, after bowing to Kinu and Mito, went to his new house to study.

(Hijiri): 'I have the same teacher as Leader Ashina's daughter. It seems that I have hit the jackpot.'
