Chapter 1 (unoriginal I know gee)

"I remember." That was the first thing I said after waking up.

"Remember what?" asked the doctor.

"Everything." I got out of the bed I was lying in, and walked over to the only window in the bare room, staring out onto the city below. The doctor quickly walked over to me and hushed me back into the bed.

"You shouldn't be out of bed, it's a miracle that you survived, we don't want you dying now." The doctor said as she gently shoved me onto the bed, and opened the door of the room, assuring me that she would be back soon. As soon as she closed the door, it opened again, but instead, my older sister ran into the room, throwing her arms out and hugged me like it was the end of the world.

"Arrabella! You're okay!"

"Yeah, of course I'm ok, Jess, I am the chosen one and the angels of heaven saved me." I joked. My sister laughed heartily.

"Even when we're in the most dangerous of situations, you never fail to make me laugh!" Her sister said. I shrugged.

"Might as well, though, as they say that laughter-"

"Is the best medicine. I know, I know, even though I'm not the one who needs recovering." Jessica finished.

"Recovering." I repeated. I suddenly got a flashback from about a week ago. I was standing in the garden, as I usually would on a Saturday morning, except it was still dark. I checked my Fitbit. It was 4 am. I never get up before 6. Ever. But for some strange reason, my feet brought me here. I stared up into the night sky, and noticed that there were more stars than usual in the sky. I thought to myself,

Maybe the pollution is finally going away… But I knew that wasn't the case. As I walked into the house, my vision seeped back into reality.

"Arrabella! Arrabella, wake up! Somebody call a doctor! Arrabella, don't you dare back out on me now!" I heard my sister's voice calling my name, shaking my body, but I was unaware that she was scared.

"Jessica, I'm ok, I just had a flashback, of some sort."

"Oh, thank god! You blacked out on me for a few moments! Don't ever scare me like that again, ok?" My sister cried out, relieved that nothing had happened to me.

"All right, I'll try to." I gave her a weak smile.

"Arrie, now you need to rest, ok? I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." said Jess sweetly as she tucked me in.

"Night." I replied as Jess closed the door. I slowly repeated what the doctor said in my head.

"'It's a miracle that you survived.'" I suddenly had another flashback, but this time, it was from the accident. At first, all I saw was black. Then I saw shards of glass and bits of metal. I looked up and everything was blurry. I couldn't make out any faces, as if I suffered from face blindness. I felt hands pick me up and voices shouting to call an ambulance. I heard sirens and blacked out. That's all I remembered from then, and so I fell asleep. The flashback seemed to go on for the whole night, like a dream. I soon heard a beeping noise. I woke up to see wires coming from a machine next to me, attached to my forehead and arms. I tried to take it off, but the doctor beside my bed held my arms down gently, stopping me from moving.

"Wha-what are the-these th-things?" I asked, trembling. I hated the feeling of these wires stuck to me, as if I was being held down with chains, preventing me from going anywhere.

"They're helping you, dear." said the doctor. I thought to myself, how is this helping me? I didn't know what was going on, and so I asked the doctor.

"Excuse me," I said weakly. "Can you explain something for me?"

"Of course. What do you want me to explain?" replied the doctor. I paused for a moment, thinking and then said, "I've been having weird flashbacks, is this normal for someone in a state that I am in?"

"No. Definitely not. It's bizarre that you can even recall these things, the accident should've wiped most of your memory away. How long have you been having these flashbacks?" asked the doctor cautiously.

"Well, I've only had two since yesterday, none yet today."

"Do you recall when these flashbacks occurred?" asked the doctor.

"Yes, extremely well. In fact they were from a week ago and also from the crash." I responded. The doctor took notes from what I said.

"This is rather peculiar… I'll have to check up with the other doctors, please, stay in the bed while I'm gone." The doctor got up and left the room and weirdly, I fell into another deep sleep, paralyzed by yet another dream, or was it? I was in some dark place, "Chaos." I thought. I thought it was hell, and I was right. It wasn't full of lava as some of my friends had envisioned it, just darkness. I tried to have a look around, but when my legs tried to move, I only felt pain. I looked at myself, and saw a completely different person. My skin was wrinkled, I was a little taller, and I was wearing clothes from the early 1900's. I suddenly got a 'lightbulb'. This is from the past. I was another person entirely, and I then came back to life as a different person. I was on my second life. Or maybe even my third, if I was extremely lucky. I suddenly had the urge to move, and without even thinking, I moved slowly. Slowly, but surely. It hurt like hell, but I still managed to move. Funny isn't it? I'm describing that my legs hurt like hell, when I am in hell! Nothing? Not even a giggle? Ok, whatever, moving on. I saw a castle in the distance, so I moved towards it, my legs still in pain. When I finally arrived, someone greeted me at the entrance.
