On the tenth floor of City Square Mall. Mantisha stood there in awe. She just could not believe how could a dress cost this much! She would have to sell her organs to buy one of the cheapests from here. One dress would cause a fortune to buy.
Mantisha gulped down as nervousness filled her mind. She stroked the six digit numbers on price tags gently. She thought that rich people were so wasteful. They buy dresses which can cause someone's entire life's fortune, only to ware those a few times.
She peeked at Judy for once and smiled. If it was her, she probably would not wear a dress twice. If she was in the university, she would roam around like a rampant tomboy who never care about her looks, but she knew how to shine when the time came.
Suddenly she jolted, she totally ignored the fact earlier that she also judged Judy. No, this could not be. If she also started judging people by their looks or personality, then what would be the difference between her and those shallow people who only know how to corner the weaklings by commenting and teasing on their weak points.
Judy sighed in anticipation. This girl would take the whole day, still could not pick a single dress to try, would she?
"Did you sniff something wrong that you are dozing off just by holding a dress?"
Mantisha smiled embarrassedly.
"This shop... The prices of these dresses are real high. Let's go to another one."
"Stop being stingy Tish. Even if some of the dresses are high priced, but there are many that are negligible for a party dress. You just told that there would be many people who belong from high society, and you do not want to embarrass yourself. Don't tell me that now, after seeing the prices, you suddenly want to embarrass yourself."
Mantisha chewed her bottom lip hard. Judy is right, but she really has not that much money to spend on a dress.
Finally Judy chose one on her behalf, stuffed the dress in her hands and pushed her towards the trial room.
Mantisha struggled hard, she did not even had the time to glance at the price tag.
After changing into the dress, she was quite satisfied with the look. The purple necked collar accomodated the whiteness of the dress well. As the white continued to the downward, it contrasted with two laces which were separated there and stitched beautifully with the purple hem of the dress. The dress was actually knee length but due to her height, it stopped right after her knees.
When she stepped out of the trial room, Judy stared at her with satisfaction. She was not particularly thin like the overly figure concious underweight morons, but she was not fat either. Her slightly bulky figure went well with her charming, upright personality. This dress actually brought out her sunny nature more, but with elegance.
Mantisha chewed her thumbnail as the thought to ask the girl on the counter to give her a twelve months EMI plan. As much as she liked the dress, she could not afford to buy it in such a high price, all at once.
When they went onto the counter, she put the dress in front of the shop person and asked her about the payment plans. Mantisha waited with anticipation.
"Madam, you can pay for it in installments on our ten months scheme but you have to pay a thousand bucks more for it."
Mantisha sighed in relief as she realised she was holding her breath. But her breath immediately hitched with the next sentence said by the girl of the counter.
"However, someone just brought a dress in our shop and asked us to give it to you, and ask you if you still need this dress to buy."
She pointed towards a gown wore by a mannequin.
Mantisha was so shocked that her jaw almost dropped. Judy was no exception as well. She covered her mouth with her hand and almost screamed.
"This... This... Don't tell me this is the one appeared on Youth's special edition, Miss Eberly's only creation in last three years."
"You are right ma'am. Miss Eberly is indeed the designer of this unique creation."
Judy lost her balance. She grabbed Mantisha's arm and scoffed.
"Tish, you... You're so lucky."
Mantisha bit her bottom lip again. This gown was so eye catching, yet beautiful. God knew how much this cost!
"Excuse me, can you please tell me the price of this gown.''
"Ma'am it's the exclusive arrival of this month and this gown is also the only piece that's arrived in our city. Also because this is Miss Eberly's creation. The cost is a little higher than expected. However, it was sold in a auction and never actually appeared in our store to sell. So I can not tell you the actual price of it. If you still want to know, I have to call my higher ups for the further informations."
Judy got too excited while Mantisha stood there in a daze. This must cost a number that was beyond her imagination right? Such a high class dress was gifted by someone to her. That was also when she was in dire need to buy a gown for a upper class party. This could not be a coincidence right?
Who was he? Who paid for this?

Can you take a guess? Who had paid for the dress?
