Chapter 70: Girls Day Out

"I see." said Erik with a glimpse of grimness. With the door locked and windows closed, he felt uneasy and suffocated. Yet the unease he felt was no greater than what was going on in his mind.

"Dad, now that you've heard everything, would you please let me go?" said Erland, almost pleading.

"No. You could also lie to me, being patriotic or used by them. I don't trust anyone, Erland. I do trust you but you are a kid! You could just be used by them and I cannot push you there." 

"But dad, I'm not lying to you. I have to go out anyway. Mom is over there!"

"Show me one proof that she is there and I will believe it." Erik frowned. 

"I will tell you if she is there or not after my trip to Jotunheim. Please let me go. At least let me go with Randi. She is free these days." 

Erik let out a deep breath. "Well then..."

Erland's face lit up "Thanks-"

"I'll go."

"WHAT? What about your-"
