Chapter 53: Nightmares Come True

The night was still there. The dead body of the mother was lying on her son's lap. He kept his mother on the bed gently and wiped the tears away even though the pain remained more than before. Holding the cries in his stomach he lied down on his own bed. No matter how much he tried to fall asleep, he couldn't when he thought of his mother's sudden death.

He fell asleep when the sun rose up. When he woke up, he saw himself with his family in the middle of a garden filled with white roses. He was grown up and has a small yet beautiful house. He laughed and joyed as the petals blew with the air. But alas, he fell and the illusion broke.

Morning came. Or perhaps, it was already afternoon. Erland was bedridden with a fever at the moment. When he woke up, he saw a doctor checking him.
