Dragonspine

Deep inside the mountain made with dragon bones,was a silently beating crimson crystal heart buried in the snow. It was a heart that reminded silence for five hundred years, today to be silence broken.

Light from the sky broke through the frozen ground and hard stone. Its goal was a crimson crystal heart.

As if two pieces of a puzzle fell perfectly together, a crimson crystal heart welcomed light, and in an instant two combined. The heartbeat became faster and faster, and the crimson light shone brighter and brighter.

The bones from which the mountain was made, started moving, the ground shaking cracking, and screaming,

The skeletal body of the dragon, as big as a mountain, slowly rose up once again and let out a loud roar, informing the world about its return.

Jean, the blonde beauty, was filling out paperwork inside the Knight of Favonius' headquarters, fulfilling her duty as acting grandmaster. Her hand stopped moving when a monstrous roar echoed through the whole city, if not the whole country, of Mondstadt.

"Jean it's an emergency..."

Her friends Lisa barged into her office with an expression Jean had never seen before.

"Lisa, what is happening?"

"It's coming from dragon spine"

Jean's face instantly paled, it was a place where the Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team of the Knights of Favonius had his laboratory.

"Don´t tell me he lost control?"

Lisa shook her head

"It's far worse...Durin...Shadow Dragon woke up"

Jean realized why her friend, who always wore a smile on her face, had an expression like that. Durin was Dragon from legends, a monster that 500 years ago attacked Mondstadt, and even their god Barbatos couldn´t defeat alone. With help of the four winds, the god Barbados defeated the evil dragon.

It took five godlike beings to defeat an evil dragon from legend, now that Mondstadt miss its main fighting power, it has no chance of resistance.

"Lisa, please, use your magic to contact all knights, inform them to help citizens with evacuations and let all vision holders except Noelle and underage adventures meet in front of the city gate, and prepare for evacuations of citizens."

"Also inform someone to find a bard Venti... "

"What about Diluc? Should I contact him as well?"

Jean´s expression hardened at Lisa´s words.

"I know he quit being a knight, even if it pains me... we need his help to earn time for evacuation. Please send him a massage"

Lisa gently nodded and cast magic circle purple as her clothes wich fired sparks of purple electric in all directions.

Jean and Lisa arrived together at the city gates, where a line of people was slowly evacuating with the help of knights.

Near the bridge was a waiting group of people that stood out from others, be it with their unique clothing or their beauty, which they shared in common: gems in golden frames with all kinds of colors shining out from their clothes.

They were visions, gifts bestowed upon those who dwell in Teyvat and are recognized by the gods. They grant the user elemental abilities based on the element of their given vision.

"Oh, if it isn´t Grand Master Jean who finally joined the party"

Kaeya Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, a blue-haired tall man with an eyepatch over his eye, exclaimed carelessly as if ignoring a gigantic dragon sitting at the top of the mountain. He is held in high regard by the people of Mondstadt — even with all his eccentricities and secrets. Cryovision was dangling from his waist belt.

"Jean, why is this useless man here?"

Diluc, owner of the Dawn Winery and former Knight of Favonius, asked with an annoyed expression.

"I am really sorry for calling you up here, senior Diluc..."

Jean bowed her head wearing an expression of regret,

"Sight, don´t worry about it... Mondtstadt is also my home and who knows what would happen if I leave it to knights"

"So what is the plan?" An elegant woman with light blue hair and an attractive hourglass figure stepped out. Eula Lawrance, like Diluc and Jean, belonged to one of the three great noble clans of Mondtstadt and was capitan of the Knights of Favonius.

"We will try to stall for time until will Amber,

Noelle, and Lisa evacuate all citizens...from then we will decide whether attack or run"

"Jean, what are you saying? I am going with you!!!"

Angry Lisa grabbed Jean´s shoulder and raised her voice. Diluc, Kaeya, and even the cold nun Rosaria were surprised at Lisa´s reaction.

"Lisa, you know that with your current state, it will be risky to use even a bit of your power. It may be selfish but I would rather have an angry friend than a dead friend"

Lisa was about to scream when she felt Diluc´s hand on her shoulder. Shaking his head slightly, Diluc said.

"In your current state, you are useless, simply dead weight"

"Diluc even if its true isn´t this bit cru-"

Kaeya cut off Jeans that wanted to stop Diluc.

"This time is my brother right...it will endanger everyone here bringing you with us"

"Who are you calling your brother!!"

"Now now calm down, we are not going to die Lisa so believe in me. Did I ever lie"

"All the time"

Diluc responded but was ignored by Kaeya who was looking at Lisa.

"I understand.. I will help with evacuation but promise me you will all survive?"

"I promise"

While Jean, Diluc, Kaeya, and Rosaria moved toward the Dragonspine, Lisa joined Amber and Noelle in their evacuation.

Because of their enhanced bodies, it didn´t take them long to move through the forest and arrive at the entrance of Dragonspine.

There they saw a blond-haired, slim man standing as if waiting for them.

"Albedo what happaned??"

"Grand Master Jean and others..."

"I can see that Traveler is not with you."

"From what I understand, the traveler is currently in Inazuma... but how did that happen?"

Jean pointed to the enormous skeletal dragon sitting emotionlessly in a place that used to be a massive mountain.

"I was observing the behavior of mountain boars when it happen so I am not entirely sure but from my observation, it seems like Durin´s heart suddenly become active"

"He didn´t show any sign of aggression or intelligence only occasional roars"

"Albedo, be honest. What are our chances?"

Diluc asked while holding his crimson claymore in his hand,

"As we are now our chances of defeating Durin is 0%, if he is greatly weakened from resurrection it would be 10%"

Diluc and Jean tightened their grip on their weapons, while Kaeya and Rosaria didn´t show any sort of reaction.

"Is there any chance of help from our beloved archon?"

Kaeya said ironically.

"Barsibato?"

Rosaria asked as she titled her head to the side

Aren´t you a nun? Diluc wanted to ask but decided to be silent.

"I asked Lisa to do something that could maybe attract his attention but I am not sure"

Rhoaaaaaaaaaaghhh!!!

A roar loud enough to tear a tree from the ground echoed once more. Everyone, excluding Albedo, covered their ears.

"Jean we should attack while its not moving"

"I know senior Diluc...everyone prepare to attack"

At Jean´s order, everyone's presence changed.

Rosaria took out the spear from her sub-space, that allowed her to store things within her vision. The ground beneath her slowly froze.

Eula grabbed her claymore and created another Ice copy of it for her to hold in another hand.

Diluc covered his claymore in the crimson flame that was ready to burn everything in its path.

Three icicles appeared around Keya and revolved around him.

Three cryo vision users, one pyro vision user, one geo, and one enemo user.

This was all they had to fight against legendary dragon,

"Hoho, this will be a really good tale to tell... do you think the Traveler will believe us?"

"He will have to..."

Unusually, it was Diluc who responded to Kaeya. Kaeya's eye widened, but he soon controlled his expression and simply smiled.

"Attack and survive!!"

Jean screamed and kicked off the ground. Her legs were coated with her anemo elemental powers, which made her the fastest person her.

Others, too, did not hesitate and shortened the distance between them and the dragon, ready to strike him in various places.

The moment Jean´s blade was about to touch the dragon's ribcage, Diluc's phoenix, made of flames, struck its head.

The strong wind stopped their attack and covered their bodies.

The wind gently put them on the ground in front of a young bard whose gender was difficult to assume.

Behind him was an azure blue dragon with four pairs of wings, one of the largest and strongest beings in Teyvat, one of the Four Winds, formerly known as stormterror.

It made everyone except Albedo even hard to breathe due to its enormous presence.

"That child is innocent....so attacking it is No! No!"

Bard cutely said but the presence of a dragon behind his back made it look too terrifying to notice his cuteness.

Jean and Diluc who knew Bard's identity were more surprised than anyone after all Bard was in fact God of Freedom Barbatos.

Why would he call enormous dragon child...and innocent when it was him together with the dragon behind his back who ended his life in the past.

"Just watch and see"

Reading their confused expression Bard Venti said.

He summoned a lyre seemingly out of thin air and sang slowly.

♪From madness, he wished to be freed♪

♪God listened, helped, and agreed♪

♪The pureness of the heart can't be hidden by dirt♪

As the wind carried his song ,dragon in the sky stopped movings.

The crimson ura pourged out in wawes across its whole body from the centre where crystal was located.The bones slowly crack,into dust from feets to head until only crimson crystal remained.

In the end even crystall itself cracked revealing body of human helplessly falling to the ground.
