The Calm Before The Storm

Satoru was aware that he wasn't a prodigy who could master a skill after seeing it once, especially in a dream. He gazed down at his right wrist, looking at the Karma seal and wondering if it had anything to do with his sudden ability to execute the spinning heel kick flawlessly.

Satoru pondered over the nature of the seal on his wrist. He knew that it would eventually turn him into an Otsutsuki, but what did that actually mean? Did it simply mean gaining the physical traits of the Otsutsuki, like horns, dojutsu, and the ability to float? Or was there more to it than that?

Satoru began to analyze all the individuals who could be considered as Otsutsuki but were not born as one, from his memory of the Naruto series and movies he had watched in his past life. The first person that came to his mind was Juubi Obito. Would he be considered an Otsutsuki? He had the Otsutsuki dojutsu, the Rinnegan, and large chakra reserves, even ten tails, but something didn't feel right. Satoru knew that Obito was lacking something to be called an Otsutsuki. He thought about it and finally came to a conclusion –

"KNOWLEDGE".

Satoru realized that the same applied to Juubi Madara, Naruto, and Sasuke. Although they had the genetics to be considered Otsutsuki or half-Otsutsuki, what they lacked was knowledge of Otsutsuki techniques. They didn't possess the vast knowledge and mastery of Otsutsuki techniques and powers that came with being born into the clan. They only knew a few of the Otsutsuki techniques.

The more he contemplated, the more he realized the true horror of the seal.

As the morning progressed, Bob made his way to his friend's house and together they walked towards the academy. Along the way, they observed the usual sights and sounds of the bustling village, with vendors setting up their stalls and villagers starting their daily tasks.

Upon reaching the academy, they found out that they had only two theory classes scheduled for the day, one on Ninjutsu and the other on Ninja Survival Techniques.

The day slowly passed by, and Satoru attended his lectures at the academy. In the Ninjutsu class, they learned about chakra hand seals and their applications in various techniques, while the Ninja Survival Techniques lecture covered basic geography and survival skills in the wilderness.

As the two kids were walking back to their homes, Satoru turned to Bob and asked, "Hey, do you happen to have any Chakra Induction paper on you?"

Bob replied, "Yeah, I do. But why do you need it?"

Satoru explained, "I want to find out my primary chakra nature so that I can start learning a chakra nature transformation before we graduate from the academy."

Bob smirked, "Well, I already know my 'Fire Release'. I knew it even before I joined the academy. Looks like you're just realizing my genius now."

Satoru rolled his eyes and asked, "Yeah, yeah do you have any though?"

Bob grinned, "Of course I do. But first, let's get to my place and I'll show you."

Bob's house may have been smaller than Satoru's, but it was still a comfortable place to live since he only shared it with his mother. Once they arrived, Bob went straight to his room and began searching for the chakra induction paper. After a few minutes of digging around, he emerged triumphantly with the paper in hand.

"Is this the chakra paper?" Satoru asked, eyeing the small piece of paper in Bob's hand.

Bob nodded, "Yes, it is. And to use it, you just need to place it in your palm and apply your chakra to it."

Satoru nodded, "Got it. And how does it work exactly?"

Bob explained, "The paper is very sensitive and will react differently based on your type of chakra."

Satoru was familiar with the instructions, but he still wanted to double-check. He took the piece of paper from Bob's hand, placed it in his palm, and concentrated his chakra for a minute before opening his hand. As he suspected, the paper had split into two pieces, indicating his primary chakra nature was Wind.

Bob examined the torn chakra paper and said confidently, "Looks like your primary chakra nature is wind."

He further added, a smirk creeping onto his face, "Wind makes fire stronger. Hehehe, You can become my sidekick."

Satoru couldn't help but think that Bob was being a bit too confident and talkative today.

Satoru replied as he looked at the split paper. "And what makes you think I want to be your sidekick?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at Bob's suggestion.

Bob laughed. "Come on, Satoru, it was just a joke. But seriously, with my fire release and your wind release, we could make a great team."

Satoru shrugged. "I guess we'll see about that. Anyway, thanks for the help with the chakra paper."

Bob laughed, "No problem, man. Just trying to help my future sidekick out."

As Satoru was leaving Bob's house, Bob called out to him from a distance, "Hey, why are you going that way? Isn't your house in the opposite direction?" Satoru replied, "I'm going to buy some sealed weights."

Later that evening,

Satoru finally bought 85kg of sealed weights for 4000 Ryo. He had saved 5000 Ryo and he literally have to use 80% of his saving just to buy them.

Satoru formulated a rigorous training plan with the 85kg of sealed weights he had purchased. He would start with 25 kg of sealed weights and wear them for 24 hours a day.

To improve his chakra manipulation, he planned to learn to walk on trees and after that learn to walk on water.

For his 'wind release' training, he would follow the traditional method of cutting leaves with his chakra, as shown in the Naruto series.

In addition to this, he also planned to study the theory of the three basic ninjutsu, so that after mastering chakra manipulation, he could directly move on to learning them.

Satisfied with his well-planned training regimen, Satoru called it a day and went to bed.

However, a major event was about to take place in Konoha the following day.........
