"No, Grant!" Skye said loudly. She grasped his arm urgently. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to get you." He couldn't understand why she was looking sadly at him. They were a team. Coming to get each other was what they always did.
The obelisk abruptly split into two, revealing several iridescently blue crystals inside. In fact there were so many crystals that it seemed unlikely that the slim obelisk could've contained them all. Grant couldn't help but think that the crystals looked like the ones that formed Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Somehow he didn't think that these would be helpful.
Across the room, Raina looked like Christmas had come early, beaming and looking reverently at the crystals. Grant had never seen her so happy. That can't be good.
"How do we stop it?" Grant asked though he already knew the answer. Though he has to say they were beautiful and fascinating. Both he and Skye walked closer to the crystals, almost as if they were drawn to it.
"I don't think we can," Skye replied, not taking her eyes off the crystals.
"What's supposed to happen?" Grant asked, fully taking on the role of a confused person.
Raina looked like she was high on drugs. "Something beautiful," she murmured rapturously.
A wave of energy suddenly blasted out of the crystals, pushing all of them back toward the walls. Raina grinned as she moved forward again. Then she began to be engulfed by the stony substance that had killed Idaho and so many others.
Knowing what it was, Grant stepped forwards as well to get engulfed in the stony substance as well.
"Grant noo!" Sky cried when she saw Grant stepping forward and getting consumed by the stone substance, but she suddenly found that she was getting consumed in the same substance as well and couldn't help but shout in surprise "Aaaahhghh"

When Grant came to his senses again he found out that stone gates were already opened, Raina already left them while Skye was still undergoing terraggenisis.
Knowing what's going to happen, Grant left as well as he didn't want to be under scrutiny until he learns what his new power is and it will take some time to find out.
Grant hadn't walked far from the stone walls that the earthquakes came meaning Skye also came out of her Terraggenisis. From his Observation Haki he already knew that Coulson and May left the temple and went where the others were so he could use it to get away from there.
As he jumped up from the whole at once and used his Observation Haki, he found that not a single conscious person was left here, so he took off. It was only when he came out the temple that he felt someone enter his range that he knew, Kara.

Skye stood at the bottom of the rope, waiting impatiently for Trip and Mac to get to the surface and send the rope back down for her. Skye had met up with the two men on their way to the opening where they'd gone down into the tunnels. When they first glimpsed the other two agents, Skye took one look at them and launched herself at Trip, hugging him fiercely.
"Whoa there, girl. Don't take off my neck." Trip smiled, "But where is Grant?"
"I don't know, I couldn't find him or Raina?" Skye stated as she let go of Trip and pulled Mac down and gave her a firm hug as well.
"Well if you are okay then he would be okay as well maybe he went after Raina, though why did that we will have to ask him" Trip said trying to ease Skye as he knew that she would be feeling down right now.
"We should get going," Trip said to the duo group. "Coulson's probably having a cow wondering where we are."
It wasn't far from the truth. Skye could hear Coulson and May arguing as the group turned the last corner before the opening.
"Phil, you can't go down there. We don't know how stable those tunnels are."
"We can't just leave them, Melinda. The tunnels have been playing havoc with our communications, so we have no idea what's happening. What if they're injured and need our help?"
"They're Specialists. They'll find a way back. You stay here." Trip raised his eyebrows at hearing May boss Coulson around. "I'm going to go get our infra-red scanners from the Bus. Maybe if we get closer to the source, there won't be as much interference and we can determine their location."
May barely had time to leave the room because just as soon as Trip yelled up to him and tugged on the rope, Coulson was yelling at her. "May! They're OK!" He scanned the tunnel with his flashlight and saw all four agents looking back at him. "Everyone's OK!"
Coulson and May made short work of getting everyone back to the surface. "Where's Raina? And where's Grant" May demanded as soon as they were all back on solid ground. "We saw her go down with the obelisk." She leaned over to glance down into the tunnel. "Is she still down there?"
"I don't know, I thought they would be here before us?" Skye stated
Before they could ask anymore questions Coulson got a message from Ward. It started that Grant came out earlier to follow Raina but she dodged him and he found Kara Palmas instead and is trying to help her as she looks like a lost puppy. Coulson understood that Ward saw himself in her and gave Grant his permission to help Kara but keep them updated on her condition and tell them if he needed their help.
"Should we make a team and look for Grant down there?" asked Trip
"No, Grant is okay, he came out of the other hole " Coulson stated
"Ok, then it's Everyone else okay" asked Skye
"Everyone else is okay" Coulson stated "We've been worried about the you guys especially once the earthquakes started. This place is clearly unstable. We need to get back to the Bus as soon as possible." He glanced at Mac. "Good to have you back."
"Glad to be back," Mac said quietly. It seemed like he wanted to say more but then just looked down and kept his silence.
The 5 Agents left the room quickly and headed outside. Skye was dreading the briefing as she didn't know what to say but thankfully Jemma saved her from it.
Once the Bus was in the air and headed back to the Playground, she and Coulson had a long talk about pathogens and contamination. It was decided that everyone who'd been affected by their time in the tunnels – Mac and Skye – needed to be in isolation until Jemma determined them to be safe.
"We don't know what we're dealing with here,"
