6. Deal with Coulson

"Can't tell you May, I already answered 3 of your questions because I thought you deserved it, if you wanna know more then you would have to send Fitz here," Grant said

"Fitz! After what you did to him do you think we would let you anywhere near him!?" asked May.

"Whatever Fitz is going through now is because of me, and if you want him to get better fast than you need him to vent his anger at me May, don't look down on him when the two of us went on the mission he saved my life he is stronger than you think," Grant said.

"You are dreaming if you think this plan of yours will work with me Ward," May said as she opened the system of the Inertial Confinement Laser Barrier ready to turn it soundproof and Opaque once again.

"You don't need to send him then," said Grant.

"What!?" asked May

"You don't need to send him here May, just tell him that you have imprisoned me here and I am sure he would want to confront me on his own, and if he doesn't then I will tell you what you want to know," Grant said.

May didn't say anything and turned the Inertial Confinement Laser Barrier into soundproof and opaque once again.

Though there was no expression on Grant's face internally he was dancing, he knows that none of them were going to forgive him now but if he was able to apologize to them now especially Leopold Fitz he may have a chance to earn their forgiveness in the future.

May came out of Vault D and went straight back to Coulson's office to enter the information she got from Ward about Daniel Whitehall. But she was also contemplating whether she should tell Fitz about Ward or not. It's true that she would indeed like to see Fitz vent his anger on Ward but she doesn't Fitz's condition to become worse than it already is.

"What is your game plan Ward!? What is it that you are really after!?" May said while staring at the surveillance video of Vault D.

In the evening after the training with Skye May was walking towards her room when she saw Fitz sitting in the lab talking to the air seeing which May felt bad for him and a great amount of anger towards Ward who was the reason for his condition.

"There is no way I would let Ward come anywhere bear him" May mumbled as she once again started to walk towards her room.

1 Week Later Vault D.

Grant's meditation was going great as the range of his Observation Haki had almost reached 35 meters. He hadn't had the chance to use his conquerors Haki since he would need live test subjects for it, but its range has increased to 20 meters so that was something as well.

The moment the door of Vault D was opened and someone entered through he was able to sense it and since he had already sensed this aura before so he knew that the one who has come to meet him was Coulson.

Coulson changed the Inertial Confinement Laser Barrier to transparent and removed the soundproof from it.

"I heard from May, you gave some of the information you had on Daniel Whitehall," Coulson said.

"Yeah, well I told you I want to apologize to the team once and this is the only way where my apology will mean anything to you at all," Grant said.

"Yeah then why don't you give us everything I may believe that you may really feel apologetic," Coulson said.

"Then there won't be any reason for either Skye or Fitz to come down here," Grant said.

"Why do you want to meet Fitz, up until recently you only asked for Skye, and now suddenly you want to apologize to us and have been asking for Fitz!? Do you think I would let Fitz anywhere near you!?" Coulson said.

"Because up until recently I have been only thinking about how much I hurt Skye but after banging my head to the wall and getting knocked out I felt that I relieved my life once again and out of all of the moment when I betrayed Fitz hurt the most. Even after all of you found out that I was a traitor, Fitz was the one who believed in me. He even took the risk of trying to kill Garret just so I could be free of him but I hurt him even then." Grant stated as he looked straight towards Coulson.

"Yes, and that's why he is suffering right now, believing in you was wrong and Fitz is the proof that you Grant Ward isn't a man worth saving. Fitz is in no condition to meet you so if you really feel bad for him then tell me everything you know about Daniel Whitehall" Coulson said as he stood up from his seat.

"And I am the reason for his condition so don't you think you should give him the chance to vent his frustration, I mean May had beaten for betraying her, Skye had punched me as well, You can do that whenever you want but I also betrayed Fitz and he isn't as weak as you think Coulson, I already told May but he saved my life when the two of us went on the mission of Victoria Hand last year. I may be the person he needs right now to get better," Grant said.

"In your dreams Ward, In your dreams...." Coulson said as he picked up the tablet and was going to turn the Inertial Confinement Laser Barrier Opaque and Soundproof again when Ward called him.

"Coulson! I know you don't like dealing with me and don't want your team to deal but just let me apologize to Fitz once and I will tell you everything that I know about Daniel Whitehall. You can even stay right next to him if you want but let me apologize to him just once." Grant said

His voice sounded a little agitated making Coulson think fit few minutes before he replied, "Let me think about it," after which he turned the Inertial Confinement Laser Barrier Opaque and Soundproof.

'Finally, I cracked the ice a little, hopefully, I can get my meeting within a month at least'
