Chapter 54 - Sukuna Awakens

Soon after she walked away from Megumi, Sachiko saw hundreds of curses charging towards her, as if she was a walking target.

"That's not going to stop me." Sachiko decided to use a huge wave of cursed energy to destroy the curses.

"I can't waste my time on you so all of you can go die now." She muttered, then watched as the curses fell on the ground, lifeless, one by one.

In a few minutes, Sachiko had annihilated every single curse that was following her.

Meanwhile, Yuuji was fed Sukuna's fingers while *Sachiko watched.

As for Nanami, he could only watch the scene without doing anything because *Sachiko looked ready to make a move on Itadori if he did something.

'Just what is her motive?' He put more effort into thinking but no answer came to his mind. As much as she seemed that she was only here to see interesting scene, he could tell there was something else about her.

"So, that's 15 fingers now."

*Sachiko commented as Itadori was forced to swallow the last finger.

As soon as he swallowed 15th finger, Itadori felt hoarse in his throat and started to lose consciousness.

"And so it starts." She chuckled.

As Itadori lost control of his body, black marks started to appear on his face and body.

When he opened his eyes, it was no longer Itadori Yuuji. It was Ryomen Sukuna.

"You're awake, Ryomen Sukuna."

*Sachiko said, standing in front of Sukuna and studying him.

"Who are you, brat? You have one second to get away from me."

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw *Sachiko's face but he also couldn't register the facial features and remember her face.

"That won't be necessary." *Sachiko looked like she didn't care what move Sukuna was going to make.

Sukuna made a move to slice off her arms but his attack was easily canceled out by *Sachiko.

"I told you that won't be necessary." She repeated her words.

"Seems like you know something about curses." Sukuna said.

"Of course I do." *Sachiko said with a chuckle.

"And to answer your question..."

Sachiko turned to look at where Nanami was hiding and continued, "I'm Nakamura Sachiko."

After her words, it was as if a spell was undone, they could finally see what she looks like.

"Nakamura Sachiko? So, you've been deceiving Geto!" The woman shouted.

"Oh, Nanako, let me tell you one thing. Geto's dead and he was possessed. Kinda." *Sachiko said in a mocking tone.

"That...That's not possible. I need to make sure..and tell him who you are." Nanako said.

*Sachiko let out a chuckle and said, "Bold of you to think you can leave here alive."

"You're going to kill me?"

Without replying, *Sachiko smiled and used her cursed energy to slice Nanako in half.

As Nanako's body was sliced in half and internal organs scattered onto the floor, *Sachiko nodded in satisfaction.

"You are not that brat. There is something different about you." Sukuna scoffed, looking at her.

"Is that supposed to be an insult or a compliment?" She asked.

"That brat is just smitten over Gojo Satoru and have no real sense of power. Unlike you." Sukuna replied.

"Well, people change." She said. "Especially after knowing how shitty the world is."

"Isn't that right, Nanami?" She asked.

Nanami became tense in his place, initially, he was waiting for an opening to save Itadori but he was already found out and now that called out, there was no way he could hide anymore.

Slowly, Nanami had to walk towards them and show his face.

"Why did you do that?" Nanami asked her.

"Because everything sucks and this world is a shitty place." *Sachiko replied.

"I thought you were with Gojo san.. Why did you do that, Nakamura?" Nanami asked.

"Satoru has nothing to do with this."

"He hid you when the higher ups wanted to capture you. It seemed that he trusted you. Why?"

*Sachiko went still for a brief moment at that, lowering her head and said quietly, "I messed up, didn't I? I didn't want to get Satoru sealed. I just wanted to...."

To Nanami and Sukuna, It seemed that *Sachiko felt guilty over the fact that Gojo got sealed.

"I can fix this. I just have to go and find that Geto and get Satoru back, right?" She asked.

Nanami wasn't sure if she actually feel guilty and regret what she did. It was hard to tell after he witnessed how she killed Nanako in cold blood, or how she was controlling the curses to kill people.

But, *Sachiko looked like she genuinely regrets. At least at the fact that Gojo was sealed.

*Sachiko turned to Sukuna, "I can get the rest of your fingers. Can you kill Geto in exchange?"

"Five mere fingers aren't enough to order me around." Sukuna said with scoff.

"Suit yourself then. I was just showing you good will but that's okay." *Sachiko said. "Still, I can't kill Geto with my own hands because of a binding vow. What about you helping me out, Nanami? I need to get Satoru back."

Nanami hesitated.

'Leaving Sukuna alone here is dangerous. Now that Nakamura actually seems to be the culprit behind those curses, there is no one else we can rely on at this moment. Can I even trust her words?'

He knew he couldn't free Gojo alone and it was only logical that he gets help. At first, when Megumi mentioned that Sachiko might be here, he thought they could work together to free Gojo but who would've thought she would become their enemy instead? To join your enemy to free Gojo, that didn't sound like a good idea to him.

While it was true that she seemed to feel guilty about Gojo, Nanami didn't feel like it was real. If she really wanted to save Gojo, she would've done so without wreaking havoc with curses, right?

*Sachiko studied him for a moment before shaking her head, seemingly disappointed.
