Alastor lifted his heavy eyelids, his slender and restrained eyes half-immersed in the warm light at the door and half-sunk into the darkness.
He exuded a strong sense of oppression that weighed heavily in the air.
Eclipse pursed her lips and looked back quietly.
After a few minutes, Alastor walked up to her, his long eyes slightly narrowed as he unabashedly examined her, trapping her in his embrace.
His dark eyes regained their composure and depth as he broke the silence first. "If I really intervened to protect you, there wouldn't be any dirt on you in the entire Star City."
However, despite the news of her being the top scorer in the college entrance exam being exposed, Eclipse was still surrounded by scandals.
In other words, his actions towards her might only be out of gentlemanly feelings towards a woman, and she didn't have to bear any psychological burden.
