(A/N: I realized that a 3-day trip to the demon palace is too long, so I shortened it down to a single day trip with 3 days to assassinate the concubine and make it back before the coachman leaves.)
Ayla entered a shadow she found in the tavern's back alleyway and then emerged above a small shadow she had cast in a desolate region outside the town where no one was present.
'I haven't flown with spatial flight much, so I'll use that to make it to the demon palace.'
[Instead of taking so long to float up into the air, you should imagine yourself floating up from the bottom of the ocean.]
Ayla closed her eyes and did what Cynthia said.
Floating up in the ocean...
Floating up…
When Ayla was completely immersed in her imagination, she found that her body was enveloped in a liquid-like substance and that the buoyancy was pushing her body upward.
Ayla opened her eyes, seeing that she was no longer on the ground but floating high up in the sky, soaring at fairly slow speeds.
'It feels different than before, but it is definitely easier. As for the speed, it should increase over time the more I use it.'
[Now imagine moving forward like how a powerboat moves across the surface of the water.]
Ayla Imagine moving across the water like a powerboat would, gliding across the surface of the water with a few bumps from the waves.
[Good. Think of having no restrictions on your movement, like a black hole that bends space around itself, making it so that nothing can interfere with it.]
Ayla no longer felt the restrictions of the wind, gravity, and so on, but felt like space itself was bending around her, allowing her to move through it without any interference.
[You should avoid being in space for too long, as it will begin to tear your body apart, but don't worry—you can survive for at least 20 to 30 minutes at most with your present dragon body. If you were a human, you'd be torn to pieces in a matter of seconds.]
'You should've said that at the start.'
[If I had, then you would've most likely not done it.]
'True.'
[It may be dangerous, but dangerous things come with benefits.]
'Let me guess, it tempers my body, which also improves my beauty, right?'
[How did you know?]
'Since space would tear my body apart, naturally it could also temper it, and since I have a small portion of your source, I would become more beautiful the stronger my body is.'
[That's exactly what I was going to say. Hmph.] Cynthia pouted as she wanted to say it.
'You know, you say you're a goddess, but you act a lot more like a little girl than one.'
[Not all gods are as noble and elegant as humans believe. They are just like humans, with various personalities and hobbies.]
'That doesn't change the fact that a grown woman such as yourself pouts over such things as someone saying what you wanted to say.'
[Just focus on your current goal right now; it's more important.]
'Fine.'
Traveling through space at speeds comparable to Mach 1, just barely above it, with no sonic boom created from my speed due to being in between the fabrics of space.
Roughly 30 minutes passed.
Ayla could feel the space around her begin to distort, tearing into her skin like razor-sharp blades, beginning to tear apart by twisting the space around her.
[I'll bring you out.]
Ayla's body was surrounded by a black light, forcing her out from between the fabric of space and preventing her from being torn apart.
'Thanks for saving me.'
[You welcome.]
'At least this time, she didn't ask for anything after saving my life.'
Ayla's torn body began to regenerate quickly, which increased due to her using her hellfire to heal her body rapidly.
'That's too dangerous to use like that, so I need to create some kind of failsafe or method to kick me out of the fabric of space when I reach my limit.' Ayla thought, sprinting forward at top speed. 'I'll think of it later, as I have someone to kill.'
