After three more years had passed in Snape Manor, Severus, now a lively, curious, and mischievous child in the eyes of outsiders, had reached the age of five. With his father's sharp features and his mother's bright eyes, he had grown into a charming young boy. Though he enjoyed his newfound childhood, he remained dedicated to his studies, working hard to develop his talents with the help of Severus Snape's Experiences from the book which made the deal with the goddess Nemesis.
As time went by, Severus's talents began to shine even brighter, alongside his mischievous behavior. Recognizing his potential, Grandpa Prince decided to take on the role of his mentor. To Severus's surprise, his grandfather started teaching him subjects that were primarily studied by muggle students— Mathematics, Sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Biology), Geography (both Muggle & Magical), History (both Muggle & Magical) and Languages (French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin).
When Severus inquired about the purpose of these studies as normally pureblood magician families loathed any muggle or related topics, his parents and grandfather explained that while magic was indeed extraordinary, wizards and witches were not solely defined by their magical abilities. They were simply fortunate that magic had chosen them. It was their duty, as magical individuals, to understand and appreciate the other aspects of life, as it would only enhance their capabilities as magicians. Because even to understand the basic magic you need to have a certain understanding of all natural laws.
They emphasized that the existence of magicians born to muggle parents and squibs born to magical parents was proof of the interconnectedness between the magical and non-magical worlds. Furthermore, the tradition of Pureblood families distancing themselves from muggles was rooted in basic biology. By maintaining a strong magical lineage, the chances of their children inheriting powerful magical abilities increased. However, many pureblood families had lost sight of the fundamental teachings of learning all aspects of life over the centuries, leading to stagnation within the magical world.
Ancient and noble families, like the 'House of Prince,' who could trace their lineage back thousands of years, continued to uphold the tradition of providing a well-rounded education to their heirs and children. This commitment to both magical and muggle teachings was the key to their enduring influence and power, even with just one or two members remaining.
Severus also discovered that there were additional motivations behind this approach. It was about maintaining power structures, preserving business empires, and refusing to bow to the so-called noble society. Grandpa Prince felt a sense of embarrassment when discussing these matters, as he himself acted like this in the case of Tobias and Eileen and was trying to escape their eyes, which was indeed funny.
Learning about this hidden knowledge gave Severus a newfound perspective on the magical world. He realized that the books he had read failed to capture the depth and breadth of magical education. It seemed as though the writer had missed many crucial aspects. However, this revelation only fueled his motivation to delve deeper into these subjects. Despite belonging to a modern world in his previous life, where knowledge and wealth were abundant, Severus had not studied sciences extensively. He had been preoccupied with business, economics, management, and finances, often relying on talented scientists as his subordinates.
During this time, another significant event unfolded within the 'House of Prince.' The family welcomed a new member—Kayumi Hiroshi, now known as Hiroshi Kayumi Prince. She was the Japanese wife of Severus's uncle, William. Kayumi was a half-blood witch hailing from an ancient shaman clan in Japan and a graduate of the Mahoutokoro School of Magic. Their paths had crossed during an international exchange event in Egypt, and after a year of dating, they decided to marry.
Though Grandpa Prince still harbored some prejudice against half-bloods due to his upbringing, he chose to accept the marriage with an open heart. The positive influence of his time spent conversing with and teaching Severus had begun to reshape his perspective and started to show its effect.
….
After another year had passed, the bustling Snape household was on the verge of a significant change. Severus, now a five-year-old boy, was about to embark on the journey of becoming a big brother. Eileen's pregnancy filled the air with anticipation and joy, and though Severus was old in mind and thought, to him, it was more exciting as he was going to be the big brother for the first time in his combined two lives.
Tobias and Eileen lovingly prepared Severus for his new role, sharing stories and explaining the importance of his responsibility in caring for and protecting the upcoming arrival. They nurtured within him a sense of love and duty, hoping to foster a strong bond between siblings right from the start. And finally, the long-awaited day arrived when Eileen gave birth to a precious baby girl, whom they named Elizabeth Helen Snape. With a tuft of dark hair and delicate features resembling her mother's, Elizabeth was a true marvel to behold. Wide-eyed and brimming with wonder, Severus watched as his parents cradled his baby sister in their arms. A mix of emotions welled up within him—excitement, curiosity, and an inexplicable instinct to protect and care for her.
For Severus, this experience was entirely new. In his previous life, he had been an only child, orphaned and raised by butlers and servants. Now, he felt an immediate and unbreakable connection with his baby sister. It was as if a bond had formed between them in that very moment, one that he vowed to cherish and nurture throughout their lives. He promised himself that he would always be there for her, offering unwavering support and guidance, just as his parents had taught him.
But it wasn't just Elizabeth who entered the world during this time. Severus's cousin, Robert Takuya Prince, was also born to his Uncle William and Aunt Hiroshi. Although Robert was a quiet child, he quickly formed a deep bond with both Elizabeth and Severus. This brought immense happiness to Severus, who had longed for the presence of a sibling throughout his previous life. Now, with a sister and a cousin brother by his side, he felt a profound sense of fulfillment and completeness. The Snape and Prince household brimmed with newfound joy and love as the family embraced these precious additions.
.....
After another two years had passed, the bond between Severus, Elizabeth, and Robert had grown inseparable. They were constant companions, exploring the vast grounds of Snape Manor and Prince Castle and sometimes in the outside parks, immersing themselves in imaginative adventures and weaving their own magical world. Severus, with his natural charm and protective nature as an older brother, Elizabeth's contagious laughter, and Robert's endearing childlike antics, brought an undeniable sense of mischief, joy, and security to their shared childhood.
One sunny afternoon, while Severus and Elizabeth were engrossed in their playful magical experiments with flowers and trees in the nearby park, they heard a soft, melodic voice calling out to them. Turning their attention towards the sound, they saw two girls, around their own age, looking at them with awe. Intrigued by the presence of these newcomers, Severus greeted them with a polite smile.
"How are you able to change the color of the flowers like us, sisters? And how did you make them fly too?" The girl with auburn hair and green eyes expressed her surprise and curiosity with puppy eyes.
Severus immediately recognized who this person was—Lily Evans, later known as Lily Potter. In the books, she was his ex-friend, crush, and love of his life. However, in this life, Severus wasn't the downtrodden, neglected Severus. Instead, he was a confident adult trapped in a child's body, determined to enjoy life to the fullest and create a little chaos for both his and goddess Nemesis's enjoyment. He pondered how to approach Lily. Should he befriend her now or ignore her?
"But Wait. Why does she say, 'both of us'? Isn't Petunia a Muggle?" he wondered but decided to set those thoughts aside for the moment. His priority was making a stylish introduction.
"Hello, young ladies. It's a basic courtesy to introduce oneself before asking a stranger any questions. Since you missed that, let me demonstrate. Hi, I'm Severus Paul Snape, seven years old, and this little cutie here is my sister, Elizabeth Helen Snape, who is just over two years old. Say hi to them, Eli," Severus declared, slipping into a destructive gentleman mode, for reasons only known to himself.
"Yo, strange sisters!" Elizabeth chimed in, smiling mischievously, causing Severus to facepalm in response.
Both girls were taken aback by Severus's introduction, their faces turning a shade of crimson. However, Elizabeth's greeting managed to elicit chuckles from them and loosened the environment for better conversation.
The blonde-haired girl, who appeared slightly older than Severus, introduced herself, saying, "Hi, I'm Petunia Evans, and the girl who asked you the question is my younger sister, Lily Evans. We apologize for our intrusion, but we couldn't resist."
Thus began a long but sweet conversation, initially sparked by Petunia and Severus, but eventually led by Lily. They discussed their likes, dislikes, magic & magician and received a basic introduction to the magical world, all by asking Severus. The conversation continued well into the evening, fostering a growing connection among the young companions.
During their conversation, Severus gleaned information about the Evans family. Petunia and Lily were the daughters of Eric Evans, a mechanical engineer, and Rosy Evans, an accountant turned housewife. The sisters were aged eight and seven respectively, and their magical abilities had manifested roughly a year ago, a secret they had been struggling to suppress as their parents tried to figure out what was wrong with their beloved daughters. While Petunia, a reserved child, was able to restrain her magical urges, Lily, who possessed a mischievous and talkative nature, akin to someone with ADHD, found it difficult to contain her powers.
They revealed that they often visited this park, where hidden gardens provided a secluded space for them to play with their magical abilities, which they had previously considered freakish powers. However, after their conversation with Severus, they discovered more about themselves and decided to meet here in the future, seeking his guidance. Severus, still unsure about seeking his family's approval for befriending a Muggle family, agreed to this arrangement, as he desired more time to contemplate. Eventually, as the day drew to a close, they bid each other farewell and returned to their respective homes with the promise of future meetings. And with newfound friendships, the memories of that eventful day lingered in the sisters' hearts, igniting a sense of excitement for the adventures ahead of them.
