(Bayou)

Rebekah, Hayley, and Eve were preparing for the wolves to arrive as the full moon reached its peak.

They heard rustling noises behind them and expected it to be the wolves, but it was the Original in a suit who had appeared instead.

"Hope I am not too late?" stated Elijah.

"Not at all, brother, you have arrived at the right time," replied Rebekah as she went to hug her brother.

As they were greeting Elijah, one of the wolves showed up behind them. Slowly, all the wolves started showing up one after the other.

As everyone was greeting Hayley, Elijah, and Rebekah, they also showed their gratitude for their help in breaking the curse. Hayley was standing a bit away when she was approached by a man.

"Hayley? Hayley Marshall?" asked the man.

"Yes, that's me. How can I help?" said the pregnant wolf.

"My name is Jackson Keener. I don't know if you were told, but you and I..."

"...are betrothed. Yes, I am well aware. However, let me make it clear that I don't plan on going ahead with that," replied Hayley with annoyance. She was controlling her urge to beat up the man before her due to her family history, but she chose not to since the wolves were starting their celebration over the curse breaking.

"But... we are your family," said Jackson in confusion and with a flirtatious look. Hayley was inches away from losing it before letting out a small laugh.

"Family?! That's funny. I came here to find family, yet I find the bastard whose grandfather killed my family!" Hayley barked, causing Jackson to step back in shock from not expecting her to hold such knowledge.

The commotion now started to bring the attention of other wolves, while Rebekah and Elijah were ready to intervene if needed.

"Hayley, I... I thought..."

"You thought what?!" Hayley cut him off again. "You thought you'd show up, and we'd run into the sunset, fetch some sticks, sniff each other's butts, and mark the same tree?" Her anger kept escalating.

Jackson remained dumbfounded while the other wolves shared expressions of shock and anger, with some even growling at Hayley's choice of words.

Hayley herself only realized what she said after it came out and inwardly cursed Klaus for all the dog jokes he had been making. Usually, had it been anyone else, she would have broken their nose, but Klaus always had the perfect excuse or justification that he could make dog jokes as he was one himself.

He had also warned her that Jackson would try to use this arranged marriage to manipulate her so his pack could obtain more power, which only fueled her anger even more.

Hayley took a deep breath before excusing herself to be alone. She felt disappointed with how it all went down. She did not know what to expect coming here, finding the pack, the family she had been searching for so long, but while she did not know what to expect, she thought she would at least find something. Instead, she felt empty.

After a little time, as everyone calmed down, Elijah went to see Hayley, who was now sitting on a chair overlooking the lake.

"Hayley, is there anything I can do?" Elijah asked after finding out more about her story from Rebekah.

Elijah was both surprised and in awe of the strength this young woman continuously showcased. To be thrown into this world, especially one with the Mikaelsons in the middle of the spotlight, most would break or falter, but she had shown nothing but strength and grace. She was strong and fierce while forgiving and loyal. With everything that had taken place and what he had just learned, he now understood more than ever why his brother was so fascinated with her... maybe even in love with her, if he dared to think.

"Yeah, I am fine... sorry you had to see that," replied Hayley. She looked around her after replying to Elijah and, as she did, she felt content that she had helped the wolves, but she also realized she felt no more at home here than she did when traveling with random packs.

"There is no need to apologize, Hayley. If it were me, I would have fed him his own liver," Rebekah said as she joined the two.

Hayley turned around to look at the two siblings.

"I think we should go back home," said the she-wolf. The two siblings nodded and started to head back.

(Compound)

Everyone at the compound was worried about Davina and had made sure one person was always in the room looking over her. Kol was currently sitting in the room beside her bed when Marcel walked in.

"How is she doing?" asked Marcel.

"Same as before," replied Kol.

Kol didn't care much about people other than his family and himself, but he was grateful to Davina for helping him come back and felt guilty over her current state.

Marcel was surprised that Kol showed actual concern and started to wonder if his perception of all the Mikaelsons had been wrong all this time. Marcel could not help but sigh; he had been having a constant migraine ever since Klaus returned to New Orleans.

"I will look after her. You should take a break," said Marcel.

"Okay," stated Kol as he got up to leave.

Elijah, Rebekah, and Hayley returned, and as they did, they saw a concerned Klaus sitting at the center of the compound.

"So I should assume the curse was broken?" asked Klaus, looking towards all three. They nodded but saw Klaus was still worried.

"What is it? What happened?" asked Hayley as she kept a hand over his.

"Did something go wrong with Kol's spell? Were you not able to bring him back?" asked Rebekah.

"No, sister," said Kol as he made his way downstairs. "I have returned."

Rebekah went to hug him as he made his way down, and Kol was happy to receive it. Rebekah broke her hug. "Then what the bloody hell happened? Why do you both look so worried?"

Klaus and Kol explained the situation to all of them, and they went to check on Davina. They were all very worried about her since she still had not woken up, so they decided to work in shifts to look after her.
