#1 Detective

(I'm changing certain elements of the movies to fit the story.)

After leaving Lux's Eddie knew what he had to do, his objective was simple. Find and obtain every object/artifact that could nullify his growth in power. There was only one problem though most of the objects currently held no value, what made the Demon blade valuable was the fact that Maze cut Lucifer's wings off using the Blade. Before the other objects experienced something similar they were useless to him.

This meant he had to wait, he had to exercise patience something he was getting used to nowadays. Luckily for him, he wouldn't have to wait for long he knew where the next object would be but grabbing it would be tough.

" Come Lillith, we have business in Gotham." Lillith nodded immediately seeing the plane tickets.

Cobalt Industries( I wonder if anyone knows why I chose the name Cobalt) had already taken the world by storm. Businesses would die to partner with them and that's why they could easily schedule a meeting with Wayne Enterprises.

The next day Eddie was sitting in a spacious office a rectangular table in the center of the room. One man says at the table, African American middle-aged man across from him sat Lillith. In a chair in the corner, Eddie could be seen playing on his phone.

" I truly am Sorry, Mr.Wayne should be here any minute now I apologize for his tardiness but he is a busy man. Can I get either of you anything?"

Lillith looked towards Eddie with a shake of his head she thanked him for the offer but kindly declined. It wasn't long before Bruce walked in, "Nice to meet you both I presume you know who I am, I do apologize for being late I had trouble parking the yacht." Eddie chuckled in the corner getting an eye brown raise from Bruce. ( I'm not going with batfleck to me he's too bulky and old I don't know how Robert Pattinson is going to be as Batman I hope he's a good picture whoever you guys want but right now I see Christian Bale.)

" Let's get down to business then." Lucius pushed a piece of paper to Bruce.

" We would like to partner with Wayne Enterprises in the construction of cybernetic drones. If you read through the paper you'll see a list of requirements and regulations if you do decide to partner with us."

Bruce looked through the paper looking towards Lucius who nodded he knew it was a good deal. Not only would it make money but the military would surely gain from such a deal not to mention it would help with his nighty business.

" It all looks great there's just one thing I don't understand you guys own Cobalt foods, Cobalt technology, Cobalt Steel, Cobalt construction, Cobalt entertainment, and the list goes on. You could do this alone so why are you looking to partner with us?"

" Well, Mr.Wayne-"

"I was talking to him not you." Lillith made to speak but was immediately cut off by Bruce.

Eddie raised his head to see everyone was looking at him a smile formed on his face as he looked at Bruce. " I expect nothing less from the world's greatest detective." Bruce's brows furrowed hearing that title, They had both notified the other they knew of their secrets.

" The reason is simple it was either partner with you now or allow you to join with our competitors. We have no problem helping our friends but our enemies will wish they were never born." Eddie stood up pocketing his phone, "Come Lillith we're leaving." once they made it to the door Lucius looked to Bruce. " What's your plan sir."

"Were partnering with Cobalt Industries, get the paperwork done and signed."

Lucius nodded seeing Bruce walk to the door he smiled. "Tell me Bruce what makes you so sure." Bruce turned to look at. Lucius " We're both in the same boat, either work together or watch as the other works with Lex Corp. Tell me Lucius do you ever see me partnering with Lex Luthor?"

Lucius chuckled hearing the question "No I don't sir, no I don't." Bruce nodded walking down the hall "Alfred who is he?" He spoke into how earpiece.

"Eddie Thawne Sir, his father is a senator and his mom is a stay at home mom. Everything about his life seems bland." A British voice some through the earpiece.

"Too bland, it's almost like he wants to appear as normal as possible. Alfred what about the girl?"

"Adopted sir. Ran away from home at 13 didn't appear again for 5 years. when she did she created Cobalt Industries shaping it into what it currently is now." Bruce nodded Cobalt Industries held a secret, the real owner manipulated things from the background. Bruce knew he could do nothing with this information, not after the words Eddie spoke earlier. There was only one man who called him detective Ra's al Ghul, he wondered how they were connected.

Eddie was in the elevator a smile on his face "Eddie why are you smiling he just found out or the biggest secret. He was late how did he find out you were the real boss." Lillith paced back in forth in the elevator.

"He wasn't late, Lucius may have said he was late and he may have apologized for his tardiness but he was there. When Lucius said 'Can I get you both anything.' you looked back at me before denying. That alone probably raised his suspicions him directing the conversation towards me was a calculated risk."

"It was my fault I ruined it now he might tell everyone." Lillith clenched her first as she was now pacing faster.

"it's not your fault, I could have denied it but I saw no reason too he won't tell anyone he can't."

"Why."

"Because I know his secret as well and he won't risk me exposing it not after I warned him." Eddie's smile got wider as he thought about it Bruce Wayne truly was the number one detective.

AN: honestly this chapter was supposed to be about grabbing the object and finally meeting Kara but then all of this happened as I was typing. I like it lol, I don't if anyone else will but Thanks for reading...
