Seal the Beasts: Rizum

I walked around the village asking people if they have seen Misao. Unfortunately, most people of the village has said no and the only few who have seen her doesn't know where she went. I sighed and ended up wandering outside the village in hopes of finding her somewhere within the Fields of the Sakura District.

I ran around in hopes of finding any leads, but couldn't until I noticed a woman standing next to a bridge. She wore a red hakama, and a white haori. She looked out into the river and seemed...sad. I walked to her and noticed it was Misao, but she looked different. She now had bunny ears and had a distinct aura around her body.

"What you're seeing right now is the true version of me. This is what I really look like and I know it isn't much, but...I still had to hide my power." Misao said then stopped leaning against the bridge rail. "Tell me...are you truly willing to seal me away? It would be just like killing me."

I looked at her then looked out into the river. "If it's what I need to do to save you then yes. I'll seal you away.."

Misao smiled and looked at me. "Well before you can do that, I need your help with something. Three of the Shrine Beasts have escaped. One is a Giant Falcon, another is a Giant Wolf, and the third is a Giant Lion."

"Shrine Beasts?" I asked.

"Shrine Beasts are mythical creatures that us Shrine Maidens are able to tame and control for our purposes. There are four Shrine Beasts. Toucon, the Legendary Falcon. Rizum, the Legendary Wolf. Vamera, the Legendary Lion. And Misua, the Legendary Kitsune. These Beasts, if they are defeated the ones who control them will be weakened and easier to seal away."

"What's the difference between sealing you away and killing you like your sisters were killed?" I asked.

"The difference is my body can't be used as a vessel. That is why, we will be sealing away my sisters as well. Defeating the beasts will ensure a guaranteed sealing process. These Beasts are powerful, so be sure that you're ready." Misao said.

I nodded and sighed softly. I looked at Misao then held her shoulder. "We may not have a bond like you had with the others, but you'll always be a friend to me. I won't forget you."

Misao smiled and nodded. "You'll always be a friend to me as well."

I let go of her shoulder then we went to pursue the nearest beast to us which was Rizum. We hurried over to Rizum's location in the Second Sakura District.

"What is Rizum like?" I asked as I ran beside Misao.

"He's an Ice Elemental Wolf. One of my sisters was an Ice Elemental Shrine Maiden. She rules over the Second Sakura District and its people. She was well respected by the Ruler of Frost and even shares some similarities such as her aloof personality." Misao answered then noticed some Fallen being summoned in front of us.

I heard a wail of terror and looked in the crowd of Fallen, noticing a woman with long red hair and blue eyes being held against her will by one of them.

"Please someone help me!" The woman cried out.

I looked at Misao then nodded at her and she nodded back. We summoned out weapons then rushed forward towards the horde of Fallen. We began to strike them down swiftly.

"Misao!" I called out.

"I got you covered!" Misao said then blinded the Fallen with light.

The Fallen groaned then I slid backwards and sheathed my katana and a flurry of slashes struck the Fallen and they all dispersed into magic particles. The woman grunted as she fell on the ground.

"Still got it." Misao smiled and looked at me.

I smiled back then walked to the woman on the ground. "Are you alright?"

The woman looked at me and scooted back a bit then noticed I wasn't a Fallen. She slowly stood up and bowed at me. "Thank you for helping me..!"

"Careful, she's like Yoshida. Half monster, half human." Misao said then kept her katana ready.

"I-I promise I'm not with them! I want to stop my brother! Destroying the universe would mean harming my mom and my friends! I don't want that! I want to protect Earth. We have to stop Yoshida and Bachiko!" The woman cried out.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Yoshida's little sister. I'm Orimi Asato." Orimi said, looking at me nervously.

"Orimi huh." I looked back at Misao. "She seems trustworthy for now. We should take her somewhere safe while we handle Rizum."

Misao shrugged and crossed her arms. "Alright."

We helped Orimi find a safe place to hide then continued to pursue Rizum. We made it to the Shrine and climbed the stairs. We noticed a Giant Wolf with white fur with blue tips and golden eyes. Rizum looked at us and howled.

"Miko Misao of the First Sakura District. You have come to quell Miko Haile's spirit by sealing her away. I will not make this process easy as you must prove you're strong enough for the challenge." Rizum said then looked at us.

"I'm more than ready. Let's get this started." Misao said then got in her battle stance.

I got in mine and transformed into my Ruler Form. "We can do this."

Misao nodded then we dashed towards Rizum. Rizum dashed away from us then howled and summoned multiple ice spikes then shot them at us. I summoned my Raijin Shield to block the ice spikes and Misao rushed forward and began to strike Rizum with a flurry of lightning elemental attacks. Rizum howled and blew Misao away with powerful winds. He dashed after her and his fangs were covered in ice.

I looked at Misao then let down my shield and summoned a platform under her and she landed on the platform and used her light to blind Rizum then summoned her Shrine Beast. Misua rushed towards Rizum and bit down on his neck then they both began to growl and snarl. Rizum managed to get Misua off him then struck her with multiple ice spikes.

I created thunderclouds and Aermyth emerged from the clouds. Aermyth roared and blasted Rizum with a beam of lightning. Rizum shook it off and howled then a blizzard was summoned and Aermyth's wings began to freeze, but she switched to her ice form to prevent herself from obtaining hyperthermia.

I grunted softly then smirked and looked at Rizum. "Even with this power...Rizum is still able to make me bring out aces this early in battle. The Shrine Maidens are so much more powerful than I realized.."

Misao jumped off the platform then vanished and reappeared in multiple locations, leaving behind afterimages then slashed at Rizum in the places of her afterimage. Rizum grunted and slid backwards a bit then shook his head.

"You've proven yourself thus far, but now it's time for you to see my true abilities. Come to the Second Sakura District Arena. We will finish our battle there." Rizum leaped away a far distance then ran off.

I looked at Misao then we nodded at each other. I ran to Aermyth and got on her back then she flew off and Misao got on her Kitsune's back then Misua ran off.

Aermyth noticed ice spears being shot at her then dodged them as best she could. She dodged the multiple buildings and towers, but an ice spear hit her wing and she roared in pain and began to descend to the ground. Multiple ice spears began to strike her body and she crashed onto the ground.

"Aermyth!" I cried out worried.

Aermyth whined softly and laid on the ground. I got off her back then rubbed her head and looked at Rizum. I glared then walked towards him.

He swayed his tail and his body shined a cyan color then he growled softly. "Come, Ruler of Lightning. Prove your worth."

I unsheathed my katana and tossed aside the scabbard then walked towards him faster and went into full sprint then slashed at him and yelled. He slashed at me with his claws and we clashed. He pushed me back then used his tail to go for multiple stabs at me. I blocked each attack and dodged his next attack, leaving behind a speed clone then teleported above him and came back down with multiple bolts of red lightning. He dodged the bolts of lightning then shot ice shards at me, but I deflected them all.

I ran in a zigzag pattern then vanished and appeared behind him then a flurry of slashes hit him. He snarled then ran in a circle and I watched him then he stopped and shot multiple ice spears at me. I dodged them and began to create thunderclouds in the sky. He ran around in a circle again.

He stopped again then charged at me, but I dodged it and watched him run in a circle a third time. A circle of ice appeared under my feet and froze my legs. He jumped in the air and crashed down towards me with a slash with his claws. Aermyth shot a beam of lightning at him and blew him away. I broke out of the ice and made my way to the top of a building. I rose my hand in the air and looked down at Rizum.

"Begone...Heaven-Shattering Starfall." I said then lowered my hand and a bolt of powerful multicolored lightning struck down on Rizum and he howled in pain.

An explosion happened and Misao noticed it as she just made it to the arena. She got off Misua's back and watched the smoke clear. Once the smoke disappeared she noticed Rizum slowly turning into magic particles and woman with blue hair and red highlights fell to the ground. She opened her blue eyes and looked at Misao who was walking towards her.

"Sister..." Haile smiled at Misao.

"I wish I could have done more for you in the Old World..." Misao said then summoned a talisman.

"You've done enough for us...Now it's time for us to be put to rest for good.." Haile closed her eyes smiling. "I'll see you on the other side."

I watched at Misao used the talisman to seal Haile away and burned the charm, sealing Rizum and Haile away forever. I jumped down from the top of a building then landed on the ground and walked towards Misao. She looked sad and closed her eyes. I rubbed her back and she balled her fists.

"If only...If only I could've stopped Fallan from killing my sisters. They would still be alive and I wouldn't be infected.." Misao said then opened her eyes.

I looked at Misao then held her hand. She looked at me and I gave her a smile. "They are better off sealed away than used as a puppet by the Overlords...we still have time before the Original Overlord finds us. Let's hurry and seal away the other two."

She gave me a smile and nodded.

I looked at Aermyth and hurried to her then used my green lightning to heal her wounds. She slowly got up and licked my cheek and I smiled.
