Zephyra's brow furrowed as she flipped through yet another dusty tome. Her desk was a battlefield of open books, scattered notes, and half-empty cups of cold tea.
[This can't be right,] she thought, frustration building. [How is there so little information on the nim?]
She'd been at this for hours, diving deep into Syux's historical records. But every time she thought she'd found a promising lead, it fizzled out. It wasn't subtle either; entire chapters missing. Pages torn out.
It was like someone had gone through and systematically erased the nim from history.
"By the gods," Zephyra muttered, rubbing her temples. "This whole situation is getting weirder and weirder."
Frustratedly shaking her head, she conceded, sighing with defeat as she turned her attention to the other stack of books – those on Blood Magic.
