Chapter 63 — Meridians

"—I see, so all humans practice body cultivation because their bodies would not be able to handle a powerful flow of mana that circulates through their bodies" André said

"—exactly, when that little lint left my body when you entered this room I could feel that your body is different because your body was not strengthened by some body cultivation technique, it was more like your body was naturally resistant to resist the flow of mana that runs through your body, so I concluded that you could only be a magical beast"

"—meridians?" André asked with a confused face upon hearing the unfamiliar term that had just come out of Amelia's mouth.

"—meridians are channels that exist within the human body and it is through them that mana flows through the human body, it is through them that we cultivate and mobilize mana to use for combat or something else" Amelia explained after seeing André's confusion about the term meridian.

"—now I get it, so that's it unless I can simulate meridians in my body, I won't be able to hide the fact that I'm a magical beast" André said

"—if that's your plan, then good luck, as in my millennia of experience I haven't found any way to give it to a magical beast, even if it did exist would be a bad idea, as doing so would be no different than getting crippled"

"—why do you say that?" Andrew asked

"—thanks to their elemental affinities and lack of meridians, magical beasts control mana more easily than humans and their bodies are extremely powerful."

"—oh, so magical beasts are much better than humans." André spoke with a smile plastered on as if he had just hit the jackpot

"—unfortunately, I can't disagree if it weren't for your limitations in your species, and your low birthrate, you would have conquered this whole world by calling Farlen." Amelia spoke with a smile that looked like she was laughing at her misfortune.

"—are you jealous?" André asked Amelia

"—a little bit, body cultivation is very painful, so I'm always jealous of the fact that you magical beasts need to cultivate your bodies." Amelia said.
