Proper Communication

After the reinforcements arrived, things went much more smoothly. Not only was the alien not moving, but it seemed to not be breathing as well , the only difficulty they had was moving him, they didn't have any instruments for measuring mass, but the alien must have weighed at least a couple of tons. In fact, he was so heavy that they had to just make a base around him while he was in his camotose state.

While the alien was still unmoving, military had brought in some scientist, linguistic, and some biologists, to try to one, communicate with it and two, try to see what exactly it's body was made out of so they could find or create some sort of chemical to penetrate its skin, so they have a counter measure against it.

But after several attempts with several different materials, they couldn't find anything to penetrate its skin thus they couldnt get any dna samples, so they had to wait for the alien to wake up so they could try to communicate with it, they had more than 7 linguistic at the base, but they didn't know they were trying to communicate with an alien, in fact only the the soldiers at the base and the generals and above ranking, knew of the alien, not even the president was informed.

The higher-ups knew it was only a matter of time before the public found out what was going on, so they had to try their best to get the situation under control before then.

Verlin Pov.

While everything was going on outside, Verlin was trying to figure out why his powers were so out of control. During those incidents with the wind or stepping through the ground, he wasn't putting any power into it. He was just doing things in his normal state, He knew he had to do something about it because someone could easily get killed, and the relationship between him and the humans on this planet weren't so good right now, if someone ended up dead, communication would be a bit awkward.

After sighing in his head, he really didn't dare to breathe out, but he also found out that he didn't need to breathe anymore, which was a plus. He opened his eyes and he saw that he was behind bars, he tried to look around and found he unlocked a new ability, X ray vision, he could see the people outside looking at him, but they weren't moving or blinking.He soon realized he was in super speed mode. This was a problem that needed a solution. So he walked up to the bar. and squeezed it till it turned into a ball.

He threw it up with as little power as possible , he could see it slowly moving up in the air, he concentrated on thinking slower and the ball moved faster till gravity acted on it and it fell back into his hand. Now, he was back to normal speed. He couldn't help but smile at his genius. To him, it might have been a smart move, but the scientists outside were terrified. The bar that he tore like paper was reinforced steel, although they knew he was invulnerable, but seeing this display of strength was a completely different matter, they quickly informed General Felix who was currently in charge of the base, when Felix arrived he saw the alien was once again mobile.

He made a call, and the linguistics were on their way. When Verlin saw Felix, he smiled and waved at him, which Felix did the same back, but his smile was extremely forced. When the linguistics arrived, they tried communicating with Verlin but quickly found out his language was nothing they had heard of before, but when they were discussing amongst themselves, verlin had already focused his super hearing on the people in the base, and with his current brain power, he easily found a pattern in their speech and mimicked it.

" Hello,"

When Felix heard the alien speak, he was surprised but immediately went straight to getting answers. " Who are you, and where are you from?" He also had everything on recording, so some professional could rewatch it for signs of lying.

For some reason verlin thought of playing a prank on him and replied in a very indifferent tone" I am an alien from an advanced civilization many light years away from here, I came to bring this planet under the empires control, surrender in peace or face destruction".

Felix immediately reached for the pistol on the side of his trousers. "Im only joking. What kind of alien would call themselves an alien? I only made a joke to lighten the mood. Your heart rates are increasing at a very dangerous pace for your kind"

" Well then, alien, this might seem like a joke to you, but a forgein entity from outside the planet threatening colonization isn't a very funny joke around here,"

Verlin let out an awkward laugh and remained silent, but Felix had more to say, "We would like to take a blood sample from you, just to make sure you body doesn't carry any foreign diseases" he said this without a change of expression, like what he said was the truth with no hidden intentions. Although verlin could hear his heart rate increase, he didn't know if it was from lying or from his joke.

" First of all, my body doesn't get sick or have any of the diseases you speak off, and second of all, I doubt any material on this planet could penetrate my skin."

"Then you will have to stay here under quarantine until we can make sure you don't contract any disease."

Taking a deep breath, Verlin looked at the general and said, " I really don't want to force my way out of here. If you could be more understanding, it would be wise to let me out while I am still asking" the rest of the linguistics had already figured out something was wrong, and they were involved in something they should be involved in, some of them started to be short of breathe, and their heart rate was reaching unsafe levels especially after hearing the mild threat from the so called alien.

When Verlin noticed this, he decided to cool off a bit. He couldn't let his newfound power get to his head." Fine, I'll stay in your quarantine but only for 3 days, so you and your superiors can figure out how you gonna deal with me" Verlin said this and immediately enter super speed mode, in this 3 days he will try to figure out his flying mechanics and the rest of his abilities.
