Death bed

"How did I get here? It's dark. Oh, that's right, I was in the car with—uhh, my head. My body hurts so much; this is a new feeling." Kain realized he was covered in bandages and came to the conclusion that he must be in the hospital.

'Was I in a car accident I must have been we were going on a road trip then.' Closing his eyes Kain tried to go into his memories but due to the morphine, he couldn't concentrate giving himself a painful headache. 'I remember a truck trashed into us then my memory goes blank' Just as the headache was over the door opened and a group of people came in and a doctor.

"Oh my god Kain-"Before kains mom could finish her sentence she covered her mouth seeing the state her son was in the lower half of his body was gone and his right arm was amputated from the elbow down with the rest of his body covered in bloody bandages only thing that was seen was his mouth. She almost burst into tears but Kain's dad pulled her into his arms fighting back his tears. Beside them was a girl around the age of seventeen with a cast on her right arm. Her eyes were red as she snuck into her brother's room an hour before and could do nothing but blame herself if only she made it to the front seat first. The doctor seeing how the family was reacting wanted to get this over with as he was as going to fuck an intern and didn't wanna lose his boner. Looking at his clipboard he could already see the kid was fucked.

"It a shame to say but you're son won't make it, you have my condolences if you need anything call a nurse I will be in a meeting."

Leaving the room to the devastated family each of them sat next to Kain bowing their heads down. "M- mom D-dad are you there what happened." Hearing kains voice the three got up and told him to stay still and try not to speak. "Yes, son all of us are here for you don't worry we won't leave you." Kain's dad said trying his best to not make his son feel alone "I'm going to die am I." Saying those words in a cold tone everyone looked at each other "I heard the doctor he didn't let you all down easy Mom would you please delete my search history on my computer after I pass away." Kain chuckled but then he started coughing up blood "Well it seems like my jokes are killing me as well." Kain's mom got a wet wipe and cleaned the blood off his mouth "WHAT THE FUCK K this isn't a time for jokes your dying and all you can do is joke around!" His sister yelled at him something she'd done before he even let her cuss around him but directly at him was different her voice was shaky and she was on the verge of crying it sounded like to him. Left in a stupor Kain smiled and apologized "Sorry sis it was to lighten the mood but I have something really important to tell you all Are there any police officers in the building." Confused about what their son was saying and questioned on what and why he needed a police officer. "The faster you do it the faster I can die in peace so please hurry I can feel myself slipping away." Kain's mom ran out of the room and got two officers along with some of his friends who came to see how he was. Walking into the room the officers and friends were shocked and stunned by the condition of this young man who has a bright future.

"Are they in here?" Kain asked "Yes and some of your friends are here as well" his sister held his hand softly not wanting to hurt him any more than he was. "Good this should be enough people now what I'm going to say may be hard to believe but I'm a serial killer."

The room went quiet only noise was the heart monitor beeping everyone was baffled by what Kain said and the officers were the first to react "Son if you are joking about murder on your death bed this is not funny" he walked closer to the bed but Kain's mother quickly shot up to block him "He's a jokester my son is he has the worst joke officer I swear! Am I right Kain." Looking at her son he remained quiet letting the atmosphere sinking more tense.

"I've killed 20 people in the last five years seven of them were my classmates in high school who went missing during my senior year, then remember that summer trip to Los Angeles I took with Uncle Martin yeah I killed eight hookers then during the school year I killed four girls who I slept with then killed my professor that I also slept with and also mom dad is having an affair with aunt Julie and dad mom is having a affair with Uncle Martin do what you want with that honestly." Kain said all of that in a cold tone and started laughing with crazy madness "And for you little sis well there is nothing about you honestly you are the purest hearted stubborn person I know and I'm glad to call you my sister I am glad I called shotgun and winded up dying instead of you but now you will have to suffer with the actions I have committed today I love you always remember." As Kain began to feel his heart slow down he smiles with bloody teeth "oh before I go, officers, you will find evidence on my computer and the shed where I buried multiple trophies of my victims." With those last words, Kain's heart stopped and the heart monitor flat-lined leaving the room shocked and confused about how this sweet young man was a monster in disguise.
