CH. 4: Shivered At The Excitement

"I will be out for today, and might come home late. So you don't have to worry about lunch and dinner. You can have a time for yourself to rest," Heather smiled amicably.

Amelia was even more baffled.

Heather had been hassling about preparation for the celebration and she had been trying to come up with different ideas for the past whole week.

But on the same day of the anniversary, she was actually saying that she won't be home.

"I... understand," nevertheless she still replied.

The sudden change in Heather's tone, in her appearance and even in her attitude was confusing enough. But Amelia thinks it might just be a one day thing after Cyrus harshly rejected her request the night before.

"Shut up and remember my words this time I hate you and I never wanted to have anything else that involves you."

His tone, demeanor and looks were cold, they were all screaming of his hatred and Amelia who heard everything couldn't help but to feel bad for Heather.

The marriage was indeed a flash one and Cyrus obviously didn't like it but Heather had been doing her part as a wife for the past whole year.

They may not be close but Amelia saw all the effort that Heather placed on this marriage, yet the young master remained cold towards her.

Thinking about that, Amelia felt that Heather was simply trying to cheer herself up by acting this way.

She must be so hurt about the harsh treatment for a simple request for dinner that she chose not to stay home instead.

'Poor child, I wish you will soon find your own happiness,' she lamented before she started cleaning up.

And the poor child she was thinking of was now happily looking at her own car.

As of this moment, she still has a car.

It was simply something to show that they are taking care of her, as per her "mother-in-law's" words.

There are times that she still needs to go out so she was given a car.

Thankfully as compared to her phone, the car was something that is still in line with the latest models.

It was a Lamborghini Veneno.

This car costs a fortune of $4.5 million.

For the Porter family this is something very much affordable.

But if one were to look closely, they could have given her a different, much more expensive car.

The design of Veneno is bold, powerful and futuristic, consistently with its performance. Powered by its amazing 6.5 liters V12 engine that gives out 750 horsepower. It has a top speed of 221 mph and features permanent all wheel drive with a pushrod suspension.

Its stat is actually in line to Heather's character and she loved this car a lot. Though back in her first life, she didn't show it on her face. The moment she saw her car, her heart was racing rapidly.

It may not be the latest style of these types of cars but still she loves these kinds of cars.

The car was developed to calibrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary. The expensive Veneno was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor show.

Since it is now 2022, it has been a while since it was featured.

Too bad, due to wanting to act like Susan she didn't manage to really use this car a lot.

That was one regret in her heart that she will fulfill this time, she will drive this baby for as many times as she can.

The interior is based largely on the Aventador's interior but has carbon skin elements. Veneno's front is designed for maximum airflow and for improved downforce.

The Lamborghini Veneno is a very rare model, there are only 13 worldwide.

Three Veneno coupe, produced in the colors of the Italian flag, green, white and red. A gray one that was currently on display at Mudetec, the museum of Lamborghini Technologies hosted in the production plant in Sant'Agata Bolognese. And nine Veneno Roadsters.

One of the three coupes, the red one, was actually what she has right now.

It was indeed a car for Heather but if one were to look at it, it was not a car of someone like Susan Rosenberg would use.

It was not for a gentle demure lady.

"He gave it to me as an insult for my acting not knowing that the real me actually loves its design."

She touched the exterior of the car as a whole before she entered and shivered at the excitement of using it.

Everything inside was very inline to her character but then, looking down at her clothes.

"My clothes do not match it yet. I should probably go shopping first."

With that the sound of a car left the house.

People watched her as she entered one shop to another.

Her face was barely seen outside after getting married but now she was entering shop after shop.

"Isn't that?" some whispered.

Pictures were taken but she didn't bother.

That is an easier way of letting the old witch know that she was no longer following her wish.

'I wonder what she will do once she sees all of these?'

After knowing that Heather was not the person Amanda thought she really was.

That she was not a heiress. Amanda made sure to always keep Heather in check and would take time to check on her in the house, ensuring that she was "behaving".

'More like she was checking whether I have reconnected with my family or not. With this she would surely come and see where I got the money to buy these things. But it was a known fact that I was a capable person before I got married. So in the end, her desire would still not be fulfilled.'

Even though she was disowned and she lived in a village on the western side of the city, everyone knew that the Relish siblings are all talented.

And that she was not different at all.

What she wanted to see was the irritation in Amanda's face every single time she thought Heather had reconciled with her family but would find out that she hadn't.

This is the only reason why Amanda caused the "incident" between her and Cyrus at that party.

Amanda was after her family.

Heather did join the party to see Cyrus but she remained on the sideline.

She has no desire to approach him yet.

But somehow, Amanda ended up having her eyes on Heather and tricked her with her son into being in bed.

Amanda looked gentle and welcoming when she insisted that Cyrus marry Heather for he took her purity when she received an answer from Heather that Heather was still a virgin before that night.

Then she started talking to Heather about her family after Cyrus got married to her in a very simple way.

That's when Heather realized what was going on.

Amanda somehow mistaken Heather's appearance at that party as her no longer being disowned in the public.

With the Relish Winery who has a power next only to Porter Medicine, Heather was a good candidate.

When Heather cleared it up that she was still disowned, Amanda's attitude completely changed.

She pulled out most of the servants but still had people looking closely at her.

Heather was prepared for a divorce but Amanda never brought it up.

So she did her best to get close to Cyrus instead but to no avail.

The day after their first year anniversary, when Cyrus finally hated her to the core because he still thinks that Heather was the one who drugged him in order to marry him, she found out the reason for Amanda not bringing up the divorce.

In the 8 years of marriage, the only reason Amanda didn't want divorce was because she knew her son would go after his lover.

And she was using the marriage with Heather in stopping him from doing so, knowing full well that because of this reasonable event, him being married, Cyrus would follow his mother's words.

Thinking about Cyrus' strong desire to be with Susan.

'Hmmm it seems emotion has a strong impact. I need to check on that,' she thought after remembering a few things in her past life.

Amanda agreed to divorce when Cyrus brought in someone with money and that she was already pregnant with Cyrus' child.

Obviously this was still Susan, somehow Susan's family became rich and she could stand beside Cyrus with such background.

The painful part was that Susan was already pregnant.

The reason why Heather was devastated and got into a fight before being in a coma and eventually dying in that accident.

But no, she wasn't blaming anyone for that.

Not Susan or Cyrus because they were in love and she was the one who got in between them.

Still, she will not leave, she will stubbornly stay and fulfill her promise.

Yes, she will keep on reminding it, that she was here for a promise.

Because she is someone who rarely promises. It is too rare that in her whole life this is the only promise she made outside of her family during her first life.
