When Ouyang Xiasha slowly regained consciousness, aside from a severe headache and eyelids that felt like they weighed a ton, preventing her from opening her eyes, and a mild soreness in her body, she didn't feel anything particularly unusual or uncomfortable. Before Ouyang Xiasha could say or think anything further, she heard a familiar voice next to her!
"Honey, Sasha is always like this, what are we going to do in the future?" a woman sighed. Even though the sentence was uttered with a sigh of resignation, the deep concern she felt for her child was evident in her words.
"Wife, don't worry, the children will have their own fortune, our worrying can't help anything. As long as the child is okay, that's what matters! Let's just go with the flow!" a man consoled the woman.
"Husband, I understand all of what you're saying, I just feel so bad for Sasha. I have never asked for her to be rich or to win us any reputation, we've never been vain people. All I want is for her to live a safe and peaceful life. But ever since third grade, she's been coming home with minor injuries every three days and more serious ones every week! Her leg injury from a few days ago just healed, and now today she's unconscious again. You don't know how hurt I was when I got the call today to pick up Sasha from school. The teachers at school, their mockery and sarcasm, made it seem like our Sasha was some heinous criminal, utterly incompetent! And the students, they were taking joy in her misfortune and mocking her. It was so hard for me to listen to! I face this as a parent; imagine what Sasha must go through in her class!" the woman said with a heart full of pain.
"Wife, we can't control what others say, we just need to do our own duty. The children's heckling, the teachers' mockery and sarcasm, aren't they just a result of the current education system that only cares about grades? How could teachers like kids who don't do well? Let's forget it, don't get angry. As long as we care for our Sasha, that's enough!" the man consoled, with a mix of heartache and helplessness.
"Husband, why don't we transfer Sasha to another school, maybe to First Primary? It might be a bit expensive, but we can endure some hardship and save some money. We shouldn't let our child be wronged. Sasha is our only child! She shouldn't always be bullied. I think Sasha is mischievous because she's being pushed by those kids and the teacher!" the woman suggested to the man.
"Wife, it's not a big deal for us to endure hardship and save money, but Sasha is just a month away from moving up to middle school. Will she be able to adjust if we transfer her now?" the man asked after giving it some thought.
"Husband, what should we do then? You don't know, the teachers at this Fourth Primary are so nasty with their words. They say our Sasha, being a girl, if she can't study well, should just drop out, grow up, get married, and save a lot of money for the family, rather than coming to school and causing trouble for other students. I've never seen such a terrible teacher, and supposedly they are role models! It's not like we haven't paid our fees, nor have we paid any less. We don't ask for special attention, but that's no reason for discrimination! Sasha's grades used to be in the top three in the past. Even though she could be mischievous, she was just more lively as a child, and definitely not getting injured and into fights every day. Ever since this teacher became the class headteacher in third grade, Sasha's grades have plummeted, and she's been involved in fights daily. I used to wonder why, when Sasha's grades were always in the top three, they suddenly weren't good enough anymore. Now I get it; with a teacher who can talk down to people like this in front of parents without any restraint, imagine how they talk to the students! Sasha must have been hurt by her, causing her to develop an aversion to school! We can't let our own child stay in this class, to be harmed by such an immoral teacher!" The woman continued, and eventually, she started to cry.
