Before coming back home.~
On his way back, Karyan's mind swirled with too many thoughts of revenge. He couldn't stop thinking about how he wanted to rip their necks and split their organs apart.
To set them all on fire and watch how their skin peeled away slowly, little by little.
To cut their tongues and pour lemons on it, removing their nails from their fingertips slowly, hear them scream and beg for more.
But he couldn't, not yet, not when he was this weak. He clenched his fist.
Even if Karyan was one of the greatest before, right now, even he knew that Mateo would just turn him into ashes as he wished before.
He was a great fire wielder, and he controlled it well. What Karyan needed was something more, something that would make Mateo tremble just by hearing his name.
But not only Mateo, he realized, and not the whole family, the kingdom, the world…
They all turned their backs on him when he did nothing wrong and was falsely accused. There was no doubt; if the scenario would repeat itself, they all would do the same. "One big mistake…" he completed his inner thoughts out loud.
"I will destroy the whole world and make no rulers, no kings and queens, no priests and Gods. I will make them all disappear, just how I want it. How I need it to be…my way...."
He looked at the mansion's bushes and slid inside, trying to sneak in, he misheard Barbara's and Maiko's conversation.
"The bastard is leaving, and his son will be left alone with his mother."
One way to hit it hard is to ruin the bloodline once and for all, make them have no children, barren, and the ones they had, "kill them…"
The hall was empty, with little to no servants walking around, making sure that Barbara needed any help.
He hid behind the door and waited for Maiko to finally leave Barbara's chambers.
She was too a fighter, and now against her own family.
But she was a woman... and a powerless one too.
"It's my opportunity," a scar appeared between his eyebrows as he entered inside.
~PRESENT~
"But why exactly do you want to be a fire wielder?"
"It's in my blood, mother. They might call me a bastard and mock me, but I was born with this element, and it belongs to me, by law." He stated firmly.
Barbara didn't doubt because the child was speaking the truth.
Even though he scared her from time to time, the element belonged to him from birth. It was inherited from the family's bloodline, ancestors.
Both of her children were mocked and made fun of because they had no father, and one was supposed to bring the end to this world, but she couldn't turn a blind eye to something that was rightfully theirs.
"I will take the documents to the court tomorrow and will wait for the priest to announce the date."
"But by that time, you should also find a safe place to stay."
He just needed Barbara out of the mansion for a while so he could focus on his plans more carefully and train the snake without anyone figuring it out.
"I will see what I can do."
"Mother, grandfather might sell you!" Karyan raised his voice, rushing her.
"He will not. No one will buy me," Barbara replied.
"The kingdom's freaks will, and you don't wanna know what they would do to you once they have a woman in their hands."
A forced silence filled the room. She was taken back by his words, but not because it was true, but…"how do you know all this?"
"Estera enlightened us about everything last year, the moment we started to speak. She forced us to listen to tales that later on came out to be true."
"You really talk like a grown man trapped inside a child's body," she pointed out.
"But I'm only five."
"Yes, and that scares me sometimes. Now if you will go, I want to rest." She waved her hand, and Karyan walked out of her chambers, back to his own…
"My snakes, the fire, and what if I had the mind control element…?"
Karyan looked at the white sheet of paper that was in front of him, hands placed inside his hair; this way was more comfortable.
"But where to find one? I know they exist, but where?"
"Ssshhh…" Sera said hello.
"Currently busy," he replied.
"Ssshhhh…."
I can't play with you, go hide in sheets or something."
"Ssshhh…"
"I can't use any sorcery to understand you right now-!" He paused; it was like a bright idea coming into his head, "sorcery!!! That's it!"
Sorcerers.
They Were banished; every single one of them was.
As their powers weren't naturally given, the Kingdom didn't have any particular use for them.
Sorcerers, unlike wielders, were borrowing their powers from demons, goblins, and you name another dark being, it was them.
And different from wielders, once the sorcerer's powers were weakened, the demon they made a deal with would always eat them at the end, no matter the age or gender.
But wielders were different; they, of course, got tired, but their magic in their bodies was unlimited unless it was sealed, like Karyan's.
"I should get a sorcerer and ask his demon to find me the wielder of the mind control! I need to know how that power worked."
Demons were ancients and undefeated; they never intervened in the human world and their wars, unless a sorcerer had plans and deals for them. Then it was different, as they were always hungry for flesh blood, fresh and stupid humans.
"I should look for a sorcerer to get closer to the mind power... the illuminations I would possess…" A creepy smile formed on his cheek.
