Chapter 60: Oh this is a surprise: (2)

Qi Yan opened it and asked me straightforwardly what it was. I didn't say anything but gestured for him to try it by passing him the cutlery. "Will I get poisoned?" he teased whilst I glared at him. However, he did pick up the spoon to try the food I made him.

I've stacked the thermal flask so that the first layer,8er is filled with rice and some other food I ordered. The second layer was filled with mapo soup and the last layer was filled with slices of tiramisu.

"I didn't make the first layer. It's takeaway food. The rest I did make," I explained while watching him unlatching the second layer. As soon as he did this a whole steam of smoke emitted from the container. "What's this?" he asked whilst I guested for him to try it. He took a sip from his spoon and he looked at me as if I was his shining star. "How does it taste?" I asked worriedly. Does he like it? "Good. It's spicy as if it was made in Sichuan. This mapo tofu soup is really good. The tofu is not too fragile but very soft," explained Qi Yan. I signed in relief. I didn't even realise that I'd been holding my breath in.

"Try the tiramisu," I suggested as Qi Yan nodded and opened the third layer. "Wow," wowed Qi Yan as he looked at my tiramisu cake. The cake had been cut into a triangle shape, it had chocolate drizzling onto with a strawberry coated in caramel. This was an additional decoration I made when waiting for the tiramisu to cool down.

Qi Yan grabbed the fork and placed it into his mouth. I watched as he ate it happily. "I'm not usually a fan of sweetness but this cake is not too sweet and you can kind of taste the coffee in it. It must've been really hard for you to make all of this," he commented as I could feel my cheeks blushing. what is wrong with me today? Usually, when someone compliments me, I'll just humbly reply back but why am I blushing today? That's so weird.

"I never knew you could cook," muttered Qi Yan whilst I nodded. "I don't usually cook so count yourself lucky," I teased as Anthony laughed.

I wasn't surprised that he thought I couldn't cook, since I hardly did any work at home, after all, I am the young miss of the Fu family. Apart from the kidnapping incident, I hardly had any hardship in my life. My parents loved me a lot, especially after the kidnapping incident. My brother would protect me and my sister would respect me. I suppose I had it easy compared to other second-born children. I guess you can count me as lucky.

I allowed Qi Yan to continue eating as I walked over to his desk to look at what he was doing. "Can I?" I asked whilst gesturing to the documents, I have to ask because he might not wish for me to know anything to do with his company. "Why would you think you can't?" he asked "You are my fiancé, what I've will be yours,". My heart had a strange feeling when he said this. I don't really understand or know what this feeling is. But strangely my heart feels kind of warm... I don't think I have felt like this in a long while...

I looked through Qi Yan's document and noticed that most of the designs that the people had come up with were quite old, even for 2022. Perhaps this was why Qi Yan made them redo it. I did enjoy taking computer science in high school but I never did it for university as I had no interest in it even though I got good grades. It was really just a waste of time. But I took fashion and design I perhaps could help.

Hence I called Qi Yan here to look at my ideas and we began to talk more about where this program was going wrong. We talked for quite a while and I failed to notice my discarded phone had a message from Wei Wei. She was saying that she had gone home since she saw Qi Yan and me working together. She also told me to get a ride home. What a great friend haha.
