Chapter 11: So what are you gonna do?

I invited Qi Yan into the living room and ask Auntie Ma, our housekeeper to cut some oranges for us to eat. " So... what brings you here?" I asked. "I'm guessing you saw the news?" he asked, I nodded turning my head away. " Wanna talk about it?" he asked " No," I replied. "Ok maybe sometime later, just not now," I hastily added after seeing Qi Yan's face fall his face lit back up after that. "By the way, I kinda helped you pull down the post. I hope you don't mind me not asking you and doing it on my record," he answered. "No, no it's fine," I replied blushing. I guess I'm quite touched by what he did no wonder why I didn't see my parents pacing up and down the corridor making calls with lawyers and whatnot.

"So what are you gonna do about it?" Qi Yan asked. "I'm not sure," I replied "It's kinda hilarious, isn't it? I suspected they were together yet I didn't want to confirm it. I'm such a coward. Since everything is being played out so exquisitely then wouldn't I want to grab back on my revenge? The best revenge for a man is to see his ex-girlfriend show up in front of their face with a better and more accomplished man. And besides, since he decided to post that on Weibo then he should forgive me for posing the video of them making outright?" I ranted sinisterly 'Stupid idiot, how could you cheat on Xiao Qing? Well that gives me a chance as well so it's fine.' thought Qi Yan.

Grabbing my phone I looked through my photo gallery and found the videos ge ge sent me, I didn't want to look at them but I force myself to. In the video, you could see their face and what they were doing the sounds echo through the silent living room as Qi Yan pulled me into his embrace. Tears glistened in my eyes as everything went blurry the only sound that could be heard was my silent cries.

Moments later:

After I refreshed myself for the second time today I posted the videos on Weibo under my account tagging Feng Xiu Ying, Luo Wen Ning and everyone in my contact. Underneath the post I wrote: This was the real reason why we broke up. Luo Wen Ning and I started dating 2 years ago but he slept with my best friend...

I felt better after I posted it and right on cue Aunty Ma came in "eldest miss, there ain't any more oranges so I cut these honey melon instead," she informed 'there weren't any more oranges? Wasn't ge ge eating one this morning? And why is there only one fork?' "Aunty Ma can we have another fork?" I asked, she smiled sweetly and replied saying "there's only one in the kitchen right now, the forks are all being washed up after you guys used it at breakfast,". ' Since when did w use forks at breakfast? What did mum tell her to do now?'. " Any toothpicks?" I pressed, she nodded and headed back to the kitchen. ' Gosh, mother 🤦'. "Take one yourself," I mentioned to Qi Yan. "Hui Qing my arm feels numb feed me," he commanded whilst pinching his suppose numbed arm. " why would your arm be numb," I muttered, leaning closer to me he whispered " Maybe because someone was leaning on me?" my face flushed a bright red as I grabbed a piece of melon and shoved it into his mouth not at all sweetly. ' wait I used the same fork I used to grab one for him... an undirect kiss...' I looked over in his direction and he was happily swallowing the melon ' does he not realize?' my face blushed as the thought of him kissing me ran through my head. "Why are you so red? Do you have a fever?" he asked whilst covering my forehead with his cool hands. "You feeling alright?" he commented my heart started beating more rapidly than usual, we were sitting so close to each other...

Ding! the sound of a notification popping up on my phone broke the tension as we awkwardly glanced at my phone whilst bursting into laughter. ' it chose to come at the right time...' The sound of my phone ringing made me more pissed than ever but I grabbed it and answered the incoming video call from Wei Wei. " eh how are you feeling? I just saw your Weibo post, it's been spread throughout the campus... most of the girls are pitying you and most of your suitors are happy...." she informed. 'Oh, dear...' the atmosphere around me began to get colder as Qi Yan had heard the word suitor... " eh Wei Wei, I call you back in a while," I replied cutting off the call before she could say anything. " Qi Yan, would you like to walk in the garden with me?" I asked, the green-eyed monster*(1) nodded as I led the way.

Today was a very nice day the bees buzzed around the garden. "Mother prides herself in our garden, she loves gardening too much," I explained to Qi Yan as we walked through the garden. Attach to the house was a rectangular pavilion on one side was chaired and a dining table stacked together, on the other side was a small greenhouse filled with indoor plants. The garden was 4ft wide and 3ft long. To the front-right of the pavilion was a water fountain with a pond filled with koi fish and goldfish, it occupied the whole right side of the garden with 2 bridges going across the pond horizontally. To the left was a small swing bench surrounded by plants and the other half of the garden was filled with plants, herbs etc. There's a pathway in the middle and as we walked together Qi Yan's hand brushed against mine. I blushed as a moment later he directly grasp it. "Where are we going?" Qi Yan asked and I hushed him. When we were younger father created a treehouse for us, but now we use it as our hideout. As we reached the back, I pulled a string and the makeshift ladder fell, there was a proper spiral ladder at the back but you know need to make it more adventurous. I led him up the ladder as he followed me behind. "Hui Qing why did you bring me here?" he asked after I had made him comfortable in the treehouse. It was painted light green to camouflage it, there were fake vines around it. "To see the sunset. This has the best view to see it, I use to come here all the time," I replied, " But we still have a good few hours to go,". 'It was 2 pm right now, so 4 hours to go as for what we would be doing at that time I don't know?'

" How about we play a game? To pass the time" Qi Yan asked. "Let's play One-moment couples get to know each other," I stated, he nodded in reply as I went to the cupboard to grab a kettle, a tea set, jasmine tea bags, some snacks and the card game. "How are you going to make tea?" he asked as I pointed over to a tube with fresh filtered water. "Brother created it. It collects rainwater and filters it to make it into drinkable water so all I've to do is plug the kettle in and boil the water," I explained whilst putting the kettle to boil.

After 4 hours we played 10 card games and I got to know more about him than I did in both of my lives. Like the things he likes and hates, his childhood etc. "Look the sun's setting," I gasped the sky was orange and the sun looked so beautiful in the middle of the sky. 'I'm glad I can share this scenery' they both though this in their mind as they watched the sunset...
