Chapter 105: Their story (2):

"But fate never listens to the will of man. I'm sure you can guess half of what's happened already. I'm not sure about all the details but to my understanding, Ze Lin changed his flight plans to come back to China earlier yet his flight had some problems and it eventually crashed. It was quite a big problem, I remember it was broadcast on the news. 

But here's the problem, Hui Qing didn't know about his death. She didn't know until 3 years later. At that time, she was about to take her exam for university so we didn't want her to know. Because knowing her, she will not be able to take that exam in the best way. 

At first, we would only lie to her when her exam finished. But then I'm not sure what happened but eventually, it led to us lying to her for 3 years. We were only able to lie to her because we asked Song Ze Yu to pretend to be Song Ze Lin. They were identical and it was hard to tell them apart through a screen. 

But my smart little sister still managed to figure out the truth. And gosh, she hated us when she found out. She wouldn't talk to any of us for a whole year. She only talking to Huai Ning. I mean those two were twins so I suppose their connection is different.

As well as hating us, she hated Song Ze Yu. She had no contact with him for 3 years. I suppose she still hated him now. Because of this, Song Ze Yu didn't come to China. He stayed in America and created a company. He made his own life there I suppose," explained Huai Zhan as I nodded. 

Everything makes sense now. No wonder Hui Qing had such a weird reaction to Song Ze Yu when she sort of remembered something. I suppose now I could understand her a bit more. 

"Any questions?" questioned Huai Zhan as I shook my head but then nodded again. "Then do you think, Hui Qing still like him?" I asked as Huai Zhan shrugged his shoulders. "The Hui Qing who didn't lose her memory would say no but the Hui QIng today... Who knows?" he muttered. "Ok," I replied. 

"The best thing we can do right now is help Hui Qing get her memory back. That way we can ensure she falls back in love with you. Or you can just try to date her again. Start from the beginning," suggested Huai Zhan as I nodded. This was the only solution. 

"But, what if she doesn't choose me?" I muttered laughing. "Ah Qi Yan, I have known you since middle school. Since when were you like this? The Qi Yan I know doesn't give up. We don't know what is going to happen in the future, we can only do things, one step at a time," he encouraged as I nodded. 

He was right. What exactly was I saying? I shouldn't give up so easily without trying. I'm going to do my best to win Hui Qing back. She fell in love with me once and she will fall in love with me again. I can do this. 

Thanking Huai Zhan, I drove out of his house and back to mine. Firstly, I need to figure out a plan on how to chase Hui Qing. 

As soon as I entered my house, I was greeted by He Lan's voice, "Qi gege, are you back already?" she asked as I nodded. "What are you doing here?" I asked. I thought I had already taken the key back from her. "He Lan, next time don't come into my house unannounced, it's not proper. If my girlfriend was to know, she would throw a fit about it," I explained. "Qi gege, must you be like this? I thought we had a relationship," she muttered. 

"He Lan, you are the sister of my best friend. That is the only relationship we have," I stated, "Also give me back my keys,". He Lan looked at me grumpily and gave my keys back. She surely was a weird one. 

The only reason she had a key was because He Lian, her older sister had a set of keys that I gave her a while ago. She was told to look after me during the period Hui Qing was in a coma. After that, she can go away. I don't need her anymore now that Hui Qing is awake. 

I know she likes me, but I only treat her as my sister. She's Qi Mei's best friend as well. I don't want to sowar this relationship but I need to make sure she can stay in her boundaries.
