Abigail getting a check up

"From what you said, the only thing I remember is having soup last night. I didn't eat anything else outside." Samia reasoned.

Even for lunch, Felix brought a lunch box made by Aunt Edna, his cook.

"Felix." Samia panicked.

"What happened?" Felix asked concernedly.

"Abigail also had the same soup and if it was not in the soup we both had dinner together," Samia said. She doesn't want Abigail to get in this mess because of her.

Felix understood.

"Why don't we ask her to get a checkup?" Felix suggested.

"We can't let her know about the poison," Samia said.

Felix was also concerned about the same thing. It wasn't like they didn't trust Abigail but the fewer people knew about it the better it was.

"I will make her get a check-up," Samia said.

Vivan came as they were chatting.

"Seems like you are feeling better now," Vivan said.

"I am," Samia replied. "Should I call you Dr. Vivan now?" Samia teased.

"That's a good idea," Vivan said.

"When can I get discharged?" Samia asked after a while.

"Till evening if there are no problems," Vivan said.

Samia nodded.

"Can you do a checkup on Abigail in the evening?" Samia told him that she had dinner yesterday with her.

"I just finished my shift and I am on night shift for this week. So I can only check up on her at night." Vivan said.

"I would suggest that you don't let anyone else know about it." He added.

Samia nodded in understanding.

Vivan checked her and said " You can complete the discharge procedures in the evening. I live nearby so call me if you need something, okay? I will be heading home now."

He thought of staying but Felix was there and the couple would also get some time alone.

Samia thought for a while and texted Abigail.

Samia: [Hey, you wanna hang out tonight.]

Abigail replied within a few minutes.

Abigail:[ This is coming from you. That's suspicious. Ok, I am ready.]

Abigail:[You are hanging out with me instead of your hot boyfriend. Am I that charming? Wink.gif]

Abigail:[So...Which bank are we going to rob tonight?]

Samia's lips twitched. She was wondering how Abigail's brain functions.

Samia: [ I will text you the details.]

Samia: [ I ain't going to jail with you.]

Abigail:[ You are leaving this hot and gorgeous young lady alone in jail. Aggrieved.gif.]

Samia: [ I can't leave my boyfriend alone.]

Abigail: [I can't believe you chose love over friendship.]

Samia:[ Then find someone to accompany you in jail.]

Felix took care of Samia the whole day. He didn't let her do anything.

"Felix, Will you relax? I am fine." Samia reassured him. Even though he didn't say anything she could tell that he was trying to best to look normal. She could see the worry in his eyes, fear.

Felix knew that she was fine and maybe he was overreacting. Even he did not understand why he was feeling all those emotions. He had learned to remain calm in all kinds of situations and yet right now his mind was wandering everywhere.

What if it really affected her? What if something bad happened to her? And all kinds of what if.

Like he had no control over his thoughts.

Felix nodded that he was fine.

"I will be extra careful from now on, ok. Will you stop worrying, please?"

Just like that, he calmed down, he believed her that everything would be fine. He didn't know that her please had such power over him.

In the evening Samia asked Abigail to come to Medwin hospital. Samia refused to give her any more details.

Abigail:[ Something's fishy. What are you hiding from me?]

Samia knew it would be hard to convince her but before she could come up with something Abigail replied.

Abigail:[ Don't tell me you're pregnant.]

Samia slapped her forehead. She wanted to pry open her head and see what was inside it.

Samia: [I am not buying any of your nonsense. I will meet you at Medwin's entrance in 40 minutes.]

Samia had already changed her clothes by now. Felix went through the discharge procedures and she was ready to go home now.

After Abigail reached the hospital Samia somehow convinced her to get a checkup.

Abigail protested saying that she was completely fine and Samia was making no sense, which she was.

Samia didn't budge, she tried to convince Abigail by saying that it was good to have a full body checkup once in a while.

Abigail sighed. She couldn't understand why their date of robbing a bank became a full body checkup in the hospital.

There must be something wrong with those people's brain who said Samia was a genius.

She was not looking like one at the moment.

Abigail looked at Samia with an aggrieved look on her face and followed the nurse to change her clothes.

"You're a doctor here?" Abigail was surprised to see Vivan here.

"Yeah, I came back not long ago," Vivan replied.

They have met each other a few times.

Abigail nodded in understanding.

The results came out after an hour.

"Look, I told you nothing is wrong with it. It was just you who insisted on me to get a checkup out of nowhere." Abigail held the reports and looked at Samia accusingly.

"It's good that you are fine." Samia felt relieved. But it also confirmed that poison was deliberately prepared for her.

Felix squeezed her shoulders trying to comfort her. Samia eased under his touch.

Abigail wasn't that dense to not understand something was amiss but since they chose not to tell her they would have already thought it through.

Samia bid Abigail goodbye after making a promise of hanging out next time.

Felix drove her back to her apartment.

When they reached her door Felix pulled her into his embrace. He wanted to stay with her. He wanted her to remain in front of his eyes all the time.

Felix couldn't describe this emotion, which swept over him.

After a long time, he released her.

"I will see you tomorrow. Now go and get some sleep." He hasn't slept for more than 24 hours. Samia's heart ached when she saw him in this state. No matter how she persuaded him he refused to budge.

Felix nodded reluctantly and went back.

He needed to get a hold on himself.
