"How dare you speak to..."
"Quite," Serena demanded. She didn't drop her gaze, she locked eyes with her mother and stood her ground. "This is my house and you will lower your voice," she uttered in a soft firm voice.
Ivy shivered.
"Don't speak to mother like th..."
"She is your mother not mine," Serena claimed. Ivy's lashes shook. She pressed her lips in a thin line and stumbled back. "All of you need to get out, right now!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Serena you..."
Serena raised her hand and hushed her father from talking. Before she assumed that he was responsible for ruining her family. She forgot that it wasn't her family, to begin with, and there was nothing for him to ruin.
There was a line in the family, and she was always on the outside of the line. Standing out from all of them.
"It's been a long day, I'll appreciate it if you all get out," she stated and closed the distance between her and Ivy.
