"Milord, I apologize for calling you now," Justin's voice trembled, still shocked by what he had seen. "Lady Iris, she, she... met a man, and that man is the same one who picked her up at our campus a few days ago—"
Beep!
"Huh!? Why did Lord Xavier suddenly hang up!?" Justin frowned, staring at his cell phone screen. He was confused because he hadn't asked what he wanted to do — did he need to kill the man or not?
Justin took a deep breath and turned to look in Iris's direction. Instantly, his face stiffened when he realized Iris was nowhere to be seen. Just as he was about to start looking for Iris, a text message arrived.
[Xavier:] You can go home now! I will take care from now on.
Reading Xavier's text was enough to deepen Justin's confusion. Why did Lord Xavier suddenly ask him to go home? Was the man he'd been talking to someone who wouldn't harm Iris?
