Preparation, goal, new faces

Mortis woke up very early so that it was still dark outside when he noticed how Helga slept next to him and snuggled up to him although she first went into a room with Kathrin to sleep there. Mortis gently detached himself from her, gave her a kiss on the forehead and went outside the castle to do some training. Helga was asleep but restless, so she noticed how Mortis detached himself and as if nothing he gently gave her a kiss which almost moved her to tears and so she fell asleep again with happy feelings.

After the training as the first rays of light fell on Bamberg Mortis sat down cross-legged on the castle wall and looked at the sunrise and his kingdom which slowly comes to life. He looked at everything carefully to note inwardly what he can change and where he builds what because the forest he wants to clear around Bamberg to let fields arise so that the food is not scarce and much more went through his head while he feasts on the beauty of this world.

But today was an important day for Daniel and the order with many visitors so he had to think about how to get everything under one hat. Motivated Mortis jumped from the wall and went to the quarters of the knights and soldiers to order them to erect tents near the barracks and the soldiers' quarters where first the women and children will be accommodated because for today the church must remain free but he also said immediately that no man, even husbands, may approach these tents. When everything was settled with the soldiers, Mortis went into the church to stand by Daniel and tell the women to help set up the tents. Also the women put on fine clothes Marina had something blue on Kathrin something green Helga something white golden and Leonie had something black on.

Mortis wondered only then he remembered that everyone wore the colors of their class. But what is black? When Leonie saw the questioning face of Mortis she said that she is a summoner and because she can summon demons of low rank her clothes are black.

It was then that Mortis realized that he really knew nothing about his women and he decided to spend more time with each of them and talk to them to learn everything about them and to make them feel loved by him, even if this still has to develop.

Baron Vincent von Tannenburg was the first to arrive with his main wife Jana who is also Marina's mother and a concubine named Frieda who was very small and friendly and seems to have a good relationship with Marina. Mortis recognized that Vincent was a warrior and greeted him as well as his rough friends. Vincent looked at Mortis and was pleased with what he saw, so he also greeted him and went into the dining room which was prepared for the guests. Jana looked a little longer, after all she has only one child and Mortis is the man she had to send it to. But she found the graceful man in front of her acceptable even if she didn't say anything so she followed her man without a word as well as Frieda.

The second to arrive was the Baron of the West, Baron Otto, who also seemed to be a summoner and looked like a bookworm. He greeted Mortis and his wives very friendly and then went with his wife Gudrun who was also a summoner into the dining room. The 3rd was the Baron of the North who was the former Baron of Mortis but Mortis never saw him because his village was very remote and that was Baron Fred von Kahlhügel. A sturdy man who seemed to be a hunter. The 4th from the south was Jochen and he had been there for a long time and so all 4 barons were gathered from Klein Franken.

The next guest which no one suspected was the old count who was actually withdrawn which surprised many and some thought there would be trouble but the old codger bowed to Mortis and smiled kindly at Mortis. I hope I am not disturbing Count from Little Franconia, he said. "No, you're certainly not. Go on into the dining room, lunch will be served soon.

After a few minutes Count Lares von Bayreuth appeared as well as Baron William von Bernstein. All of them had their families over, which was a bit unpleasant for the son of Bernstein, but the first daughter of Count Lares immediately ran to her sister and was happy to see her again.

But one guest charmed Mortis it was Jasmine the dressmaker not because he found her attractive but because she will understand what he is up to and create more work with her especially a kind of fleece band work.

When Mortis women saw how Mortis was happy about Jasmin they got nervous Leonie said. Pff she is only an exotic that she stands out with her skin color when Mortis goes to the south he sees enough of these people. Leonie's older sister was amazed at how spiteful her little sister can be, but the others just nodded vigorously, after all, Mortis has not even determined who is responsible for what and what rank the women take for him.

He heard the conversation and it became more and more clear to him that he must soon take the initiative with his wives before they also go at each other's throats when he is not even allowed to greet another woman.

There came a couple of village representatives and mayors from small towns of Little Franconia as well as some representatives from different orders of gods when all were there the banquet started.

After Mortis took something to eat, he tried to have a little talk here and there, especially with the barons he didn't really know, but even if he didn't, he immediately asked for craftsmen and architects to basically rebuild Bamberg. Everyone agreed and Count Lares promised to send his people as soon as he was back and when that was done Mortis lost interest in the meeting but the other representatives of the order wanted to talk to him. The only problem was that Mortis had no time to read the holy book of his order and was not up to date on what was in it so he left them standing there stupidly and said that he would receive them tomorrow with Daniel but now he had to go to the groom to make the final preparations.

In the church, Daniel walked up and down, getting more and more nervous, as did his soon-to-be-wife, who was being prepared in the castle by servants and her sister. Mortis entered the church with 2 barbers and Jochen. Daniel's hair was cut and combed and oiled so that it shone in the sun. Mortis wanted to give Daniel a suit but he shook his head because he already had one just like Sophia has a dress which was given by the Goddess as a gift for the first wedding on this planet.

Daniel got dressed and Mortis let the guests as well as many spectators into the church after that Mortis hid in a corner and took the holy book of her faith and rummaged through the pages to find something suitable for a wedding there Mortis was amazed when he found the first creation story of the people and it was very similar to the other world.

It said that the creator created the people from the mist and from clay. Now he wanted to read much more, but he did not forget his task and continued to leaf through until he found some places that he could use.
