The Clam After The Storm & A New class (Part 3)

Despite the passing of time, the beauty of the world never ceased to amaze me. Each day it brought new wonders and discoveries, reminding us of the infinite potential and magic that exists all around us.

And so, as the night deepened and the world around me grew quiet, I closed my eyes and embraced the peace and tranquillity of the moment. In that stillness, I found solace and joy, grateful for the endless beauty and wonder that surrounded me.

It was quite late when we woke. The sun was high in the sky, and the town glowed in the light. It was around noon. Shaking Luna and Aiden awake, we decided to set off.

After walking for what seemed like hours, the outline of Dragonford came into view in the distance. The town stood proudly at the edge of a wide river, its walls and towers illuminated by the warm glow of torches and lanterns. The sound of laughter and music floated on the night air, mingling with the distant roar of the river as it cascaded over rocks and stones.

As we drew closer, the scent of woodsmoke and roast meat wafted towards us, making our mouths water. The gates of Dragonford loomed ahead, guarded by armoured sentinels who eyed us with a mix of suspicion and curiosity.

We approached them with confidence, announcing our intention to enter the town and seek out the Guild Hall. After a brief exchange, the guards allowed us passage, and we crossed the threshold into Dragonford, the glow of the town's lights enveloping us in a warm embrace.

The streets were alive with activity, townsfolk going about their business, merchants hawking their wares, and minstrels playing merry tunes on street corners. The air was filled with the scent of warm bread and fresh flowers, creating a heady mix of aromas that spoke of life and vitality.

As we made our way through the bustling streets, we couldn't help but marvel at the sights and sounds of this vibrant town. Dragonford was a place like no other, a melting pot of cultures and customs that blended seamlessly to create a tapestry of life and colour.

Finally, we reached the towering spires of the Guild Hall, its grand façade looming above us like a guardian of knowledge and power. With a deep breath, we ascended the steps and pushed open the heavy doors, entering a world of magic and mystery that awaited us within.

As we stepped into the hallowed halls of the Guild Hall, we were greeted by the sight of wizards and sorcerers poring over ancient tomes, alchemists concocting strange potions, and warriors honing their skills with blade and magic alike. The air was thick with the hum of power and potential, a palpable energy that crackled and sparked in the very air around us.

We knew that our journey had only just begun, and that the trials and challenges ahead would test us to our very limits. But we were ready, our hearts filled with courage and determination, our minds focused on the goal that lay ahead.

And as we took our first steps into the heart of the Guild Hall, we knew that our destiny awaited us, a destiny that would shape us into the heroes we were meant to be. The road to greatness lay before us, and we were ready to walk it, side by side, as the adventurers we had become. 

We walked to the reception, and asked to get our classes. The receptionist asked us for our guild cards, and we proudly presented them. "Are you all above LV50?" she asked. With a grin on my face I replied "Yes". 

"To the right and then the second left" she instructed. Grins on our faces, we started walking. My imagination ran wild with possibilities. The time had come.

I walked into the room, after which I was instructed to go into a chamber where I would get my class. I closed the door, then a blinding light exploded everywhere, and I was teleported to an ethereal realm. In a chair in front of me, I saw god, with a casual smile on his face. "Long time no see, Ace" He said in a booming voice "So you finally got your class, huh?"

A grin on my face, I replied "Yes, I got my class, though I don't know what it is yet."

"Go ahead and check," he said.

The light faded and I found myself back outside the chamber.
