chapter 7

"what the hell was that?" she asked herself, looking around. the streets she knew were gone, as well as the noise of the city. dirt roads laid out before her, and the buildings look like an old western town. she could see horse drawn carriages in the town below.

"are you alright miss? " came a voice from nowhere, yet it sounded like a man right in front of her. startled, she noticed she no longer had her clothes on. instead of her frayed and faded levi jeans, she wore a heavy wool skirt and a flannel shirt.

"what happened to me? where am I? why can't I see you? where are the guys who were shooting at me?" her mind raced through questions quickly, and she was clearly terrified.

"dont be afraid. we're not in any immediate danger, at least. you will be able to see me. just give me a second." jim replied, disabling his invisibility. his clothes had changed too, and his sig sauer pistol had become a colt peacemaker .45 revolver was a 6 inch barrel, and he had a belt full of cartridges. he looked at the clearly terrified girl, and heard the ding, another quest complete. "I can turn invisible when I want to. as for the guys shooting at you, I killed 3 of them. as for where we are and what happened to your clothes, I'm guessing when we went through the door, we must have went through a different time." jim pointed the peacemaker, "this was a sig 320 before. anyway, what's your name?" jim asked

"Amy. what do we do now?" she replied.

"I'm going to go invisible again and we will go into town. find us a place to stay. you won't see me, but ill be here for you. we can decide what to do then." jim said.
