7. A silly mistake

" Come on Rayd, mining needs digging", said Nora examining the place closely.

" Let check this place out, I can't wait to have all the goodies it hold", Rayd said looking at the mansion at the centre of those houses.

They both walked towards the gigantic building which seems to be the elf's leaders residence. The building was covered in white paintings with scented leaves surrounding the walls emitting a calm and serene essence which calms the mind and soul. The building has so many gates leading to inner parts of the building, each gates was carved and made with gold with some words written on them which looks like an incantation. The air around the building was so dense and filled with aura essence moving around freely in the air.

" The aura here is so strong and pure", said Rayd.

"A perfect place for cultivation", Nora said beaming with excitement.

"I can cultivate alots of my Arts here", she added.

"Then let cultivate for while before mining our precious gold", Rayd said giggling at his own joke.

Both Nora and Rayd sat down and fold their legs while closing their eye's ready to cultivate as much as they can. They stayed in that position for a while, no sound can be heard except the sound of their heartbeat. Nora opened her eyes which shone more brightly with some blue aura swirling around her with a ting of red. She smiled satisfied with the result of her cultivation.

"Did you cultivate more of your Mind Controling Art ". Rayd ask Nora bring her out of her daze.

" Yeah, just strengthen it a bit, the red ting makes it to detect lies through minds or break through resistance or violent mind". Nora explained.

Rayd nodded showing he understands what she was saying, he smiled shaking his head.

"Remind me again why I never want to get on your bad side", Rayd said still shaking his head.

"Let explore more to see what we can get, I hope we could find more useful element to cultivate", Nora said.

" I thought elves like living in a tree house or so", Rayd ask Nora as they head towards a door leading them right straight to the inner part of the mansion.

" I know they're good at magic so prepare for that thou" Nora said as they get closer to the door.

Rayd touched the handle slowly with caution and pushed the door open, to their suprise, the door opened and a bright light illuminates their surrounding blinding Nora, Rayd inhaled the air while as a small smile escapes his lips. Nora closed her eyes for the light was so blinding it makes her light headed.

"What was that" Nora asked immediately the light dimmed she turned her attention to Rayd who was still smiling softly.

"It the light magic and it takes one with a higher cultivation to cast such, it mostly used in the battlefield to blind the enemies thou this was just used for safety purpose it doesn't affect that much just for brief seconds." Rayd explain leaning in a little to help steady his sister.

"It was also combined with a little earth magic which was what you inhaled, it also of higher cultivation, it weakens the immune system when inhaled". Rayd explain further his eyes widening at Nora whose face has gone pale, realising what that means with worry evident in his face.

Rayd takes her face to examine it, how can he forget she's not an earth mage, she can get affected by it, Nora's face was getting paler as her legs finally give out, she collapsed onto Rayd as he hold her before her body hit the ground.

Rayd shakes her gently palming her face softly, when he get no reaction, fear overwhelmed him as he tried calling her saveral times but no avail.

Rayd was so lost in his fears that he didn't feel the presence of someone lurking behind him until a soft voice startle him.

"What happen to master", the voice asks moving closer to where Rayd held Nora.

Rayd was shocked as he look towards the source of the voice for a brief second, without paying much attention.

"What are you", Rayd asked his voice quivering while holding Nora tighter to his chest. he can't lose Nora too, he never know his dad and Nora was the only person who always care for him and allowed him to explore his true potential, the queen treat him like an egg which could shatter at any slight touch, he was so pampered that he never know what fear is until now that he was about to lose Nora. He was so foolish at his forgetfulness, he should have known something was wrong when they found the door unlocked. No one ever leaves their door opened without proper protection, he would have been like Nora also if he had not been immuned by his light and earth Art. Rayd shivers at his thought as tears runs down his cheeks.

"Please can I touch her", the voice asked again with some urgency bringing Rayd out of his daze for a second time.

"I asked what you are", Rayd asked again shooting a deadly glare at the source of the voice which soften immediately his eyes met those eyes. 

"No one was supposed to be here, it was only he, Nora and her...., Rayd eyes widen at his realisation, when he takes a good look at the young girl in front of him, her white hair which was as white as snow, her eyes which appears to be golden but have darker shade adding more contrast to her pure white balls, her every features.

He stare at her unable to take his eyes off her, how can someone be this beautiful, he thought to himself ' and here I thought Nora was the queen of beauty'. He shakes off the thought turning to the girl.

" The wolf, it's a girl", Rayd said talking to no one in particular.

The girl shook her head vigorously trying to kneel close to Nora.

" You can shift?", he asked looking at the girl in front of him,

"Yes, am a warewolf", she answered placing her hands on Nora's forehead.

"You can also talk", he voiced out.

The girl nodded as she closed her eyes and focused on Nora.
