"Sir, I have a doubt. Can I ask?" I hesitated, eager to clarify my confusion.
"Yes, please. Why not? You may ask anything related to this, and I will do my best to help you clear your doubts," Master Roland encouraged.
"Sir, how did you come to know these things about me? I have just arrived here and haven't shared any information about myself with others," I inquired, seeking an explanation for the seemingly mysterious revelation.
Master Roland paused for a moment, his gaze thoughtful. "Ah, that... Well, you will have to ask that question to Miss Layla," he replied, leaving me perplexed. Why would an honest, or rather, an ador- I mean, upright person know such details about me? It raised a slight concern in my mind. However, I quickly reminded myself that Layla was an NPC, likely programmed to possess certain information.
"If Sir Alex wishes to know, I would be glad to provide an explanation," Layla's voice chimed in, surprising me once again. So, she was the one who held such knowledge about me. It made me a bit melancholic to discover that she was capable of prying into my personal information. I had initially believed her to be an honest person, but it seemed that people's nature could be different from their outward appearances. However, I consoled myself with the understanding that she was an NPC and following her programming. But still how can she possess those adorable- I mean truth full eyes.those eyes were a total hack.
"Sir, Sir Alex," Layla called, bringing me back from my thoughts.
"Huh?" I responded absentmindedly.
"Sir, are you hearing me?" she inquired, concerned.
"Yes, yes, I apologize. Please continue," I replied, refocusing my attention on her.
"So, Sir Alex, do you want to know how I came to possess your information?" Layla asked, her tone measured.
"Yes, I do want to know. Please enlighten me," I requested, eager for an explanation.
Layla took a moment before responding, "Well, I possess a unique skill that allows me to gather information about adventurers. It is a passive ability granted to me as the village chief's assistant. My purpose is to ensure the safety and well-being of adventurers within the village."
Understanding began to dawn on me. Layla's role as the village chief's assistant and her designated responsibility aligned with her possession of such information. It was a relief to know that it wasn't a result of any malicious intent.
"I see. Thank you for clarifying, Layla," I acknowledged, a weight lifting from my shoulders. "I appreciate your dedication to our safety and well-being."
Layla nodded, her expression softening. "It is my duty and pleasurer, Sir Alex. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to approach me at any time."
" And please lets finish up your registration process of adventurer, we had already taken your preciouses time"
"Yes," I responded.
With those words, Layla and I left the room, leaving Master Roland alone.

Meanwhile, as I departed with Layla, a conversation unfolded in a secluded corner of the room.
"Is it him?" Master Roland asked, his voice filled with a mix of curiosity and concern.
A figure clad in black emerged from the shadows, his face obscured by a mask. "Yes, it is indeed him," the figure confirmed.
"Are you sure?" Master Roland inquired, seeking reassurance.
"I am one hundred percent certain. His eyes bear an uncanny resemblance to hers," the figure replied with conviction.
"But for now, we cannot make any move against him, can we?" Master Roland's voice was laced with caution.
"No, we cannot. If we were to act prematurely, she would surely sense our presence. And once she suspects anything, she will stop at nothing to eliminate us. It is best for us to remain low-key for the time being," the figure explained, understanding the importance of secrecy.
Master Roland nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Yes, we must exercise patience and vigilance."
"In the meantime, your task is to monitor him closely and await further instructions," the figure instructed.
"What should I do if an opportunity arises to silence him?" Master Roland inquired, a hint of anticipation in his voice.
The figure's voice turned stern. "Do not act on your own. Only follow Master's orders without question. Your duty is to observe and report, not to take matters into your own hands."
"Understood," Master Roland acknowledged, recognizing the need for obedience and discipline.
"One more thing, avoid Layla's attention. She has also noticed his true identity, just as I have. She is likely to inform her," the figure cautioned.
"Yes, that woman... She didn't even trust me and placed her loyal dog to keep an eye on me," Master Roland muttered, frustration evident in his voice.
"That is why I instructed you to gain her complete trust. But you did not listen," the figure reminded him sternly.
"Don't blame me for that. I did everything in my power to earn her trust. If she still doubts me, what more can I do?" Master Roland defended himself.
"I don't want to hear your excuses. Focus on the task at hand for now and report to me about every little detail," the figure commanded, before fading back into the shadows.
Master Roland, now left alone, contemplated the weight of the situation and the role he must play in this intricate web of secrets and hidden agendas. It was clear that there were greater forces at play

In the other room, Layla guided me towards a crystal device. "Please place your hand on this crystal," she instructed.
Curiosity piqued, I followed her guidance and rested my hand on the shimmering crystal. It hummed with a faint energy, captivating me with its ethereal glow.
"Wow, it looks so wonderful," I remarked, marveling at the captivating display.
After a short while, the crystal ceased its radiant glow, and Layla gently removed my hand from its surface.
"Here you go," she said, presenting me with a small, card-like object.
I examined it with intrigue. "This? What is it?"
"It is your adventurer's ID," Layla explained, a faint smile playing on her lips.
