After stabbing its own Shinheuh, he quickly pulled his claws back.

However, on the contrary of what everyone expected, the tiger didn't die as its blood didn't spurt from its chest, and instead, its eyes turned red as a baleful aura emanated from its body.

The tiger's red eyes suddenly glanced at Xin and without delay, it charged toward him while the beastly Yacinth had his own target as he went toward Liu Guanyi who was barely recovering from the previous blow.

Watching their quick movements, Adori nodded.

She knew they probably wanted to catch her off guard when she tried to save both of them at the same time. But unlike what they had thought of her, she wasn't that helpless in terms of ranged attacks.

Drawing more shinsu from her sword, she slashed the air four times, creating two crisscross slashes which each headed toward both Yacinth and the tiger.

Unsurprisingly, her attack went through Yacinth's body once again, however, surprisingly, it also didn't manage to touch the tiger as well.

As Yacinth and the tiger almost reached Xin and Liu Guanyi, they shared a quick glance and nodded. It was the time to work together.

Yacinth swiped his sharp claws to his legs, Liu Guanyi anticipated this and moved his back to not face the wall, and instead of resisting the attack, he used the blow to jump back as he was flung away toward Xin.

Liu Guanyi spun beautifully in the air as he changed his direction with his meticulous body control, readied both his elbows and dropped them hard on the tiger's back.

Since the tiger was focused on chasing and attacking Xin alongside the birds, it didn't expect a sudden attack from behind, and-

"Roaaaaaar!!"

The tiger cried in pain as the elbow drop managed to even shake his spine as even Liu Guanyi didn't expect his attack to work so effectively with their ability to evade attacks and all.

Liu Guanyi used this moment to climb the tiger's back and coiled both his arms on its neck, and held the tiger in blood choke to drain away the blood from flowing toward its head.

With Liu Guanyi holding the tiger, Xin ignored the birds to slide past both its legs and stabbed both of them with his needles.

Losing its hind legs' stability while struggling to resist and release itself from the blood choke, the tiger couldn't maintain its balance and fell stomach first on the ground.

As it was about to lose consciousness, Yacinth appeared behind Liu Guanyi with both his claws ready and was about to rip his head off.

Unfortunately for Yacinth, he had to turn ethereal and his claws simply went through him harmlessly as a barrage of white slashes dangerously passed through his head and vital spots.

The barrage didn't end there as many more of them rained down on the birds, annihilating their numbers rapidly.

The birds stopped their chase immediately and frantically tried to dodge the slashes to keep their numbers.

However, unbeknownst to them as they flew around frantically, a swift slash flew toward their defenseless master and crossed his head, creating a shower of blood as his head was detached and flung away separated far from his body.

With their master gone, their bound and shackles were erased as they quickly came to their senses, as their instincts warned them of the danger, and they quickly flew away out of the arena.

Not everything went wrong for Yacinth, however. When Yacinth became ethereal, the tiger also turned ethereal, saving its life as it quickly followed its master.

Seeing the tiger slip out of his grasp by becoming ethereal, Liu Guanyi smiled.

'It seems their ability to turn ethereal is limited and connected to Yacinth. Naturally, it must be limited. If not, he probably can even defeat a Ranker.'

The situation was looking extremely bleak for Yacinth, he was alone with only his tiger while his enemies suffered no significant losses and had regrouped together.

It was all worse than his calculations, Adori was much stronger than he expected and even her companions were tougher than what he had anticipated.

There was only a single chance left for him, but if used "it" right now, it was almost impossible to deliver a lethal damage to her unless…

His thoughts were interrupted as his body trembled and he puked blood.

Seeing this, he steeled his resolve, there was no time for him to hesitate. His special ability had incredible effects, especially since only certain people could resolve it.

But just as it had incredible effects, it also had massive drawbacks, the biggest was, namely his lifespan. Whenever he turned ethereal to evade attacks, it didn't mean the attacks that he received were all ignored, no.

He had to sacrifice some lifespan equal to the power that he had negated.

The more powerful it was, the greater his sacrifice needed.

Even with his magical transformation, Yacinth couldn't do anything to Adori at all if he only stalled the battle with his ethereal form and didn't do anything drastic, he would eventually die without being able to kill any of them.

Yacinth revealed his arms inventory and took a long, thick, and conspicuous red needle that gleefully shimmered when he grabbed its hilt.

A powerful and bloodthirsty aura was felt when it was in a full display as if it hummed happily to finally be able to shed some blood.

When Liu Guanyi took a glance at it, he instantly knew what it was, the Red Shark.

The ignition weapon that could even pierce the shells of the giant turtles. It was certainly powerful even if he couldn't really determine how powerful it was since he hadn't met any giant turtles yet.

Yacinth moved forward with Red Shark in his hands and attacked Adori who was at the front position, trying to impale her using the great needle.

Yet, Adori nimbly dodged any of his attacks, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't even touch a single piece of her long and fluttering white hair.

Even when Yacinth used all his efforts, Adori was always out of his reach, evading all of his attacks with ease. No matter how close it looked to him, it was actually very far away.

'Is this the real Adori Zahard? No, maybe it's not even the real her… the higher-ups have made a terrifying enemy.' He thought quickly after seeing his futile attempts.

However, he suddenly stopped in his tracks as he puked a mouthful of blood... again.

"Looks like you have reached your limits." Looking at the front, he saw Adori's beautiful face looking back at him with an indifferent gaze.
