ch. 9 shinigami

*konoha homage office*

"Dammit Shizune I need it!" Tsunade exclamed as she reached for a bottle of sake that shizune was holding.

"Sorry tsunade-sama but you need to do your paperwork first." Shizune replied

Whining taunade slumped down in her seat. As she was about to start complaining again there was a knock at the door. Straightening up tsunade ordered in a proper tone "come in."

Opening the door a beautiful purple haired woman with a katana strapped to her back walked in. "Tsunade-sama, yugao uzuki reporting back from A-class mission."

Seeing the soft smile and the light within the woman's eyes tsunade let out a small smile. "Ah yugao it seems the brat was right to take you away with him. Now tell me about your mission."

Nodding yugao replied "we started by going to the land of rivers, than the outskirts of sand, the land of tea, than last I saw Naruto was land of noodles." Yugao started while tsunade nodded and motioned for her to continue. "Naruto has utterly abused shadow clones to master everything we teach him. He's still the lovable idiot we all know when he's not training or on a mission, but once he gets his shinobi mode on he's just like his father. Right now he may think he's weak but with all of his tricks the average jonin will be no problem especially with Naruto's speed. We taught him the body flicker and he's a Shisui 2.0."

"Good so he's advanced as a shinobi what about as a clan head?" Tsunade asked while mentally cursing jiraiya for keeping her in the dark for so long.

Giving a so so gesture yugao replied "he's good but he really hates politics and once one of the clan heads or more likely the elders push him far enough he'll snap and strangle them."

Snorting tsunade smirked while thinking about strangling the elders 'maybe I should let him, those old fucks are holding this village back too much.' She thought before shaking off the thought. "That's fine he has a good bit of kushina in him so it's good progress. Now are you ready to assume your old position."

Looking down nervously yugao replied "ah about that, I'll be happy to return to my post, but once Naruto gets back he'll be a jonin, jiraiya has already set up a test and with the power appointed to him he'll promote Naruto to jonin once he passes his test. So once Naruto returns may I be placed on a squad with him."

Raising an eyebrow tsunade smirked "so you and the brat huh."

"Huh what no he's my little brother in all but blood, but ever since the perv corupted him he's been using me to test all of his pick up lines. Than because of his lack of social skills I had to teach him what to and not to say." Yugao complained with a groan.

Narrowing her eyes tsunade asked "how bad did jiraiya corrupt him."

Thinking for a second yugao replied "after his first kill jiraiya gave him a copy of his book to read in order to let him destress. Which reminds me that I also had to explain the birds and bees to him."

Laughing tsunade spoke "so he's just curious right now, I guess he's at that age."

Groaning yugao replied "ya curious enough to ask me if woman really like it when someone eats their ass." At that Shizune spit out the water she was drinking with a large blush on her face while tsunades laughter only grew.

*uzu six months later*

For the last six months Naruto and kana spent their time training, exploring the island, or just spending time together. During this time they grew closer and closer barely ever leaving each others sides. But today was an important day for it was the day before they would leave the island as jiraiya had sent a summon to give him his next mission.

"Come on kana let's hurry up I had my clones gather all the necessary supplies." Naruto excitedly exclaimed as he dragged a nervous kana while he watched a flock of ravens fly closer before landing and turning back into Naruto clones. One of the clones half a Shinigami mask. While another one just dropped a tied up man down on the floor, while another held a coffin with the kanji for 'fourth' on it.

"Ruto you sure this will work?" Asked kana.

"Yes absolutely, and this will make us both way more powerful." Naruto replied while thinking back on the conversation he had with the fox.

*flashback*

'Brat we need to talk.' The kyuubi spoke in Naruto's mind as he was eating with kana.

'Alright be there in a second.' Naruto thought back before speaking "sorry kana the fox wants to talk about something." Naruto said while averting his eyes.

Giving Naruto a soft smile kana spoke "that's alright ruto." While thinking 'Damm fox taking away my ruto time.'

Entering his mindscape Naruto stood in front of the cage "what's wrong fox this better be important I was spending time with kana."

Rolling its eyes Kurama spoke "it is brat you can talk to your mate later."

"She's not my mate…yet." Naruto replied while looking down and blushing.

Snorting Kurama continued "I think it's time we get my yin half back. We know where the shinigami mask is, also I have a suspicion that my yin half has formed a conciseness as well. If that's true than it will be harder to go back to being one being. As such I have a plan, we don't need all my yin half just enough yin chakra to kick start my recovery while I could give my yin half enough yang to do the same, we would effectively creat two full fledged kyuubi's."

Hearing him Naruto's jaw dropped "that's…ok but where would your other half stay, from what I know about chakra it would take a while for both of you to recover and till than you'll both still be weak to that man's sharingan."

"Ah that's where your mate comes in." Kurama started while ignoring Naruto embarrassed 'hey' and continuing "she's a full blooded uzumaki she'd make the perfect jinchuuriki." Seeing Naruto scowl Kurama quickly added "the benefits far outclass the prone, she'll have a nigh inexhaustible chakra pool, she'll be able to become a perfect jinchuuriki because I approve of her, and you'll both gain my summoning contract, so we can leave the seal and assist on the battle field. Just think of it you and your mate chasing your enemies down while riding two full powered kyuubis."

Hearing Kurama's alluring voice Naruto's mind wondered and a savage grin crossed his face. "Alright I'll talk to kana about this." Naruto replied before leaving.

*flashback end*

Smiling Naruto shook off thoughts of the past while putting on his shinigami mask. As he did he went through hand seals as the presence of death rose from the ground. Not looking back naruto continued to do one handed hand seals while his other hand reached his stomach making a grabbing motion. The ethereal figure of the shinigami followed his movements as he pulled out a glowing orb from his stomach. After than Naruto reached forward as the shinigami did the same. As he finished the orb floated into the coffin as Naruto made a final hand seal and the coffin opened revealing a blond man with blue eyes and cracks on his face, he was wearing a blue track suit with a jonin vest over it and a hori with the kanji for fourth hokage written on the back. Motioning for kana to raise her shirt above her belly revealing an eight trigrams biju seal Naruto reached into minato's stomach grabbing again after a second he removed his hand from minatos stomach and pulled out a ball of crimson chakra before storing it in kana's seal.

Sighing Naruto took off his mask expecting the shinigami to leave as the job was done but after a few seconds Naruto slowly turned back to see the shinigami staring at Naruto with narrowed eyes. "Uzumaki our contract ended with the village so you must pay the price for summoning me." Shaking in fear Naruto was about to speak but the shinigami cut him off "in order to repay the debt you must kill these three men they have gone against the natural order and must pay for their transgressions." As the shinigami finished he tapped Naruto's head before disappearing.

'Hidan, kakuzu, and Orochimaru. Also what is this power.' Naruto thought as he felt a weird aura in his body.

"RUTO!" Kana yelled as she tackled Naruto to the ground and hugged him. "What was that are you ok." She asked while checking his body for anything wrong.

Sighing Naruto used his hand to make kana face him while rubbing her cheek affectionately "I'm perfectly fine my hime."

After speaking they both just stared into each others eyes as they got closer until "cough" a cough interrupted them. Blinking they both blushed and looked to where the sound came from seeing a awkward looking fourth hokage "ah high son."
