Only Fair

Feeling her skin begin to burn she broke out of her stupor as she backed away before it got any worse. "Hot." However her eyesight never left that flower, her eyes couldn't stop gravitating to it no matter what she tried to do even if she knew it wasn't the actual flower from the stories, it's resemblance was uncanny. "If it isn't that, then what is it." Feeling the heat settle down slightly she tried to calm down as she felt air that felt like fire enter her lungs. Watching Felli's reaction Xilo was slightly confused as the slight burn continued to travel along his hand and arm.

"Turel's Flower? what's that?"

Taking a few seconds to respond she tried to gather her thoughts that were in chaos still.

"It's an Astral Beast that's said to no longer exist. Which brings up the question of where did you get that."

Trying to keep herself in check she stared into his silver eyes as fluctuations of emotions passed through the flames amongst them. However within that jumble of emotions the thing she noticed the most was the pain he tried to hide. "I wonder what happened." He wasn't very good at hiding his emotions as he liked to think but seeing the pain surface she regretted asking that question. She let her emotions get the better of her and some small part of her greed surfaced. While it might not be the exact thing it could lead to clues about where the real thing was and that greed overtook her just like it would to most people. "Dammit, I messed up." Hating herself she knew she couldn't change what happened now, all she could do was watch her mistake unfold and see where it brought her.

"Mmmmmmmm."

Before Xilo opened his mouth he heard a slight groan enter his ears surprising him as he looked around for it. "Someone here?" However after hearing it again his eyes fell on Tearia who was currently still in Felli's arms as her hair dangled everywhere. "Is something wrong with her?" Scared for a second he watched as her eyes fluttered open as she looked around the room with confusion before landing on him and smiling. "She's awake...that was fast." He thought it would take longer for her to wake up but it seems to have been ahead of his estimated time however that was fine. "She needs to know as well." Feeling the burning in his hand finally calm down he looked at the flower for a couple more seconds as thoughts flew through his mind before he decided to put it down.

"Pretty flower."

"Sleep well Tearia?"

Looking down at the girl in her arms as she woke up she let her stand on her own as she asked that question. "The gashes on her leg are gone too even." Looking at Tearia's legs some surprised flash through her before she let it slide and turned to Xilo. Right now the way he acted would decide a lot of things going forward for all three of them so trying to figure out why she healed so fast wasn't so important compared to this. "So Xilo, you've got some talking to do it seems." She kind of felt bad for him but there was nothing she could do now.

"I think so, I feel pretty good now."

"Well that's good to hear. I was a little worried about you."

"Sorry."

Turning to Xilo, Tearia watched him put that pretty flower away as she felt the tense mood wash over her head. "What happened?" She didn't really know since she was asleep but they were in a completely different place now from what she last remembered so quite some time had to have passed. "He looks in pain again." inching forward she tried to get closer to him until she felt her hand get grabbed by Felli as she turned to see her shaking her head. "...." Looking at Xilo again she watched as he silently looked at her before opening his mouth.

"Tearia. You asked me before what happened to Xelfia right?"

"Nope, I can't recall doing that."

"It's alright, I won't get mad or hurt you again. I only brought this up in response to Felli's earlier question of where I found that pretty flower you saw before. However Felli before I answer you, I want to know why you want to know so badly where I got it and why you reacted so weirdly about it."

Hearing his question she knew that was a fair thing to ask as she sighed.

"....Because It's something that shouldn't exist especially in the hands of somebody like you. It's not normal for you or anyone to have it and that thing could potentially be catastrophe inducing ."

"What's wrong with me getting lucky and what do you mean Catastrophe tier."

"If someone found out you have something resembling the Turel's Flower wars would be started Xilo and not just simple ones. So we need to make sure no one ever finds out about it and prevent people from finding more."

Taking that information in he stood there in contemplation for a few moments before he looked at Tearia and sighed.

"Fine might as well, I have some things to tell Tearia anyway."

Standing that room he went to the corner of the room and took a seat as he patted the ground beside him signaling them to come sit beside him. He figured they might be there for awhile so it wasn't the worse place to take a break. They were decently far away from the Clan's people and anyway else hidden away from most people so they would be safe to. "This will be a long story I suppose." Watching them walk over towards him he tried to calm down his nerves as he thought back to what happened almost a month ago now.

"It's from a place I visited before here."

With them sitting down on each side of him he felt Tearia lean her body on him but he didn't mind this time around. He was to lost in his story telling and memories to really care about it.

Enjoy.
