### Chapter 6: I Had a Great Time

In my previous life, I went by the alias "Rudeus of the Quagmire." This alone shows my proficiency in earth and water magic.

To draw an analogy, it's like Jotaro's stand: capable of beating someone half to death with incredible precision, leaving them barely alive but unable to die.

That's how confident I am in these two elements, so it's a given that I drove those kids away, leaving them in tears. Admittedly, I was more excessive than in my previous life. But I couldn't help it. Their actions brought back bad memories, so they had to suffer a bit.

The three children ran away crying, and my eyes fell on Sylphy. Her hair was relatively long for a child, her nose small, lips delicate, ears pointed, and her skin as white as porcelain. She looked like a frightened rabbit, truly an unimaginable beauty.

Hey, ... How in the world did I mistake such a beautiful girl for a boy in my previous life? Was I blind?

"Are you okay?  Are your things fine?" I squatted down slightly, and my clothes got stained with mud, but I didn't care.

"Um… um… it's okay…" Sylphy replied timidly.

Uh oh… Not good! Little Rudy seems to have reacted! Just like at Magic University when she cured my ED, Sylphy successfully made my little brother stand up. But I'm only 5 years old! No, I have to hold it in and not show any weird expression.

"Put your things aside and kneel by the ditch."

"Ah? Eh?" Sylphy was confused but obediently complied. Really obedient. Even in bed, Sylphy was a very submissive and well-behaved type. But this kind of obedience and good behavior only applies to me. She's tougher with others.

I used water magic heated by fire magic and gently poured it over Sylphy's head.

"Waah!!" Sylphy thought she was being bullied again and tried to escape. But no, if you don't wash thoroughly, you could get sick. I grabbed her slender wrist and rinsed her whole body.

"Very good." After rinsing, Sylphy's thin clothes became transparent, revealing her familiar figure... Ah! Little Rudy, you can't do that! I quickly adjusted my posture. This was troublesome. Was this body, with Greyrat's blood, defenseless against women? 

I quickly used fire magic to heat the air and dried Sylphy's body with a handkerchief. Once her clothes were dry, the shimmering effect disappeared. Little Rudy went back to sleep.

"Thank you…" Sylphy whispered.

"Next time, fight back. If you don't, they'll keep bothering you."

"But if I resist, bigger kids will come..."

"Then beat the older kids too!"

"How can I do that..." Sylphy looked embarrassed.

I smiled. 

"It must be hard on you. Because your hair color resembles that of the Superd race, you got bullied."

"Are y-you fine with it.....?"

"It's because my teacher is also from a demon race. What race are you from?"

"I don't know." Sylphy pursed her lips, looking lost. "My mother 

"Human, but she has a little of a beast race lineage...", and my father is half-human, half-elf."

"Half elf and 1/4 of a beast race lineage?"

"...So, even though my father says... I'm not from a demon race... but, my hair color, is different from my father and mother's...." Sylphy started to cry.

It's really not easy. I gently touched Sylphy's head. I knew why. Sylphy, like me, has the Laplace Factor. That's why her hair is green despite no demon bloodline. But no point in saying it now. After the great transfer event, her green hair will turn white. I like both colors, honestly.

"You're bringing food to your father, right?" I asked.

"Mm-hmm...."

"Let's go. I'll go with you."

"Eh? Why?"

"Those guys might come back. If you get bullied again, it'd make me look bad."

"Hmm, ah…" Sylphy nodded, confused. So well-behaved. But I lied. Those kids won't come back. I just wanted to stay with her longer.

"Well, thank you for protecting me," Sylphy said.

"We're friends. Friends help each other."

"Are we friends?"

"Sylphy doesn't want to? Then pretend I didn't say anything."

"Ah! Sorry, I'm not unwilling... Thank you for being my friend..." Sylphy was excited because, with her hair color, she had no friends in the village.

How did I know? Her ears were shaking like little fans. In my previous life, whenever Sylphy got excited or shy, her long ears would twitch. It was so cute.

"Let's go!" I said, naturally taking Sylphy's hand.

"Um…" Sylphy blushed and nodded. Together we delivered the meal to Mr. Rawls. Afterwards, I had a great time.

After sending Sylphy home, I was in a  very joyful mood. I hadn't played with my wife for a long time, although it's a bit regrettable that as children we can't play games that adults can. 

As I neared the house, I tried to calm myself down. I have to face an upset Paul.

"As expected, there he was, standing at the entrance with his hands on his hips, looking angry. As soon as I saw him, memories from my previous life surfaced. In that life, I had argued with him, causing Paul to lose confidence as a father. But not this time. Because Paul is my father. I wanted to make Paul feel better. This is what I should do as a son. So...

"I'm sorry, Father!" I bowed down solemnly. Paul was stunned for a moment but soon had an upset and angry look, yet despite that, he still questioned me.

"Why are you apologizing?"

"It's because something terrible while I was out today."
