Chapter 323: I'm Back, Bitches! (2)

Perseus POV

We're definitely gonna have to fight the Urgess, and I might need to eliminate their household while I'm at it, but by doing so, I will also alert Cain in the process, so I plan on destroying their household so quickly that they don't get time to message him.

After I double-checked the village, I saw that they were going to be fine, Maple even asked Cassius to watch over the continent while she's gone with the promise that she'll bring their mother back to help him better himself and achieve a status closest to perfection.

I then use my illusion skills to make us invisible to the outside as we step onto the circle as Maple uses her magic to power the circle up. Leilah then used her powers to create a cure for her powers and gave it to Buddy to resist her pollen of death, or whatever it's called.

"You ready?" Maple asked

"Yeah, just know that once you're on the other side, the Urgess will attack us if they see that we aren't Rolan, Jerah told me that the Urgess has a connection with Cain, he won't tell me the specifics though. Even if we're invisible, they can still make contact with us, so kill em quick, we'll then dip."

Maple then injects her abnormally large amount of mana to fully charge the magic circle up. Since we aren't getting our bodies modified, we should be there in an instant or in a day at best.

I can't lie, I'm a bit nervous, but I'm ready.

3rd Person POV

The amount of magic emanating from the magic circle was large, it wasn't as large as when the heroes were submitted, but it was large enough to be detected by all kingdoms, Lachlan was especially spooked by the amount of energy.

<Did the humans summon another group of heroes?> he thought, <But why now?>

As for Edward, he had a similar train of thought, except that he suspected that it was the village of the Paradis tree as he sensed it came from there, he then wondered how the village could possibly get the blueprint for it.

"Edward, go check it out." Rowan ordered, "Your brother's a bit busy at the moment."

"Sure." Edward said as he was already preparing to do so.

Chief Aminu, in the meanwhile, was helping to erase the magic circle that the group teleported in early, even without it, they'll just appear in a random location once they're back and he's helping them erase their trace.

*On the other side*

Cain's subordinate detected the high energy coming from the Urgess household, a cross-world teleportation just took place, and Dawn and Jerah also sensed it.

"They're finally here." they both said at the same time despite being in wildly different places.

As for the Urgess household, it couldn't be more than a nightmare, they had never gotten any news from the other side that they should be expecting anything or anyone, so they armed themselves and aimed at the spot while having someone act as their representatives to meet with any visitor.

But it shocked them as nothing was there after the summoning was finished, it was thin air.

"What the hell?" the representative exclaimed, "Does Rolan have an emergency or something and this is his signal?"

"I don't know, but we can ask Cain just in case." a person in the crowd replies.

One by one, the Urgess family members began to experience strange and inexplicable symptoms. Fatigue settled in, followed by bouts of dizziness and disorientation, it was strange.

<Did someone teleport poison through the circle...? But who?>

Suddenly, as if orchestrated by a hidden hand, the first signs of discomfort began to manifest. A person near the window felt an inexplicable tightness in their chest, a sensation of suffocation.

|I should start using the word, orchestrated, more often. It's such a nice word to say.|

Their eyes darted around the room, seeking solace in the gazes of their comrades, but their allies were experiencing the same unease as he then fell to his knees.

"Hey, he's dead." one person cried out as he was checking on his comrade while suffocating himself.

One by one, like dominos falling in a sequence...huh, the author is getting a bit ahead of himself there.

The people of the household then began to falter. Everyone was swaying unusually, their balance disrupted by an unseen force as they clutched their chest, unable to draw in a full breath. Panic spread like wildfire among everyone as they began to feel panic and genuine fear.

As the seconds went by, everyone clutched their throats, their faces contorted in intense agony. A lot stumbled, their knees giving way beneath them as strangled gasps filled the air. Some attempted to flee, but their limbs refused to cooperate, leaving them frozen in place.

It wasn't long till all of them passed away before an intense wave of magic exploded from the summoning circle and disabled any electrical device in the area.

Perseus and his group then appeared. Leilah had several thousands of rose petals floating around her and carrying her up in the air as she then flew to finish off any Urgess personnel in the area.

"Whew, this was quick." Perseus said.

"Obviously, why do you think people fear Leilah? She's the most deadly among us." Ruka replied

"Lilith, I'm gonna rely on you to erase any trace of this...well, establishment."

Cain's subordinate arrived at the location of the Urgess household, but no one came to greet them as usual. Not only did they not find any personnel in the area, they were blown away by an explosion from the direction of the Urgess household.

There was a blinding pillar of light that erupted from the area, and once they recovered, all they found was a large crater with a message written on it.

"I'm back, Bitches?" the leader of the group read aloud.

"Did Rolan betray us?" One asked

"No, he's not that rash, ambitious, but cautious." another answered, "This might just be a former project marking the start of their revenge, the energy earlier might not have been that stupid summoning...but it could have been an escaped extinction class, we have one before...but this is bad."
