"So...God possesses a time-traveling device..." Dawn muttered "But where from?"

"I don't think that that's the main concern here, what we should worry about is why Cain wants it, he desires death, but we have the solution to that already, Jerah can do it, heck even your children can fit the criteria, but he plans to fight God for that one artifact, though, unfortunately for him, the easiest way would be to pry it out from my future children's body. Specifically, Orion's, but I doubt he can, Orion got a pretty good head on his shoulders."

"He's yours and Lilith's?"

"Yup."

"Seriously? Lilith is the one to birth such a serious and smart child?"

"Do you have no faith in your own daughter?"

"She's an adult now, I can say many things, after hearing from you, I think she needs to be more like your other child, the one you have with Ruka."

"She is a bit serious though, in a way, she hardened herself that way because she needed to fend for herself with no one to rely on, but she does let loose when she's with me, a bit uncomfortably so."

"Stop showing off." she responded

"I'm not. But do you seriously have no clue why he wants a time-traveling artifact?"

"No." she shook her head "But he's a smart individual, probably more than both of us combined, it's strange, why would he want to use something so destructive? Time traveling isn't something anyone should do, I feel safe that God is holding it secured, but to think that it falls onto your hands in the future could mean...either you stopped him and its next guardian or...Cain has succeeded and no longer has a use for it.

"Either scenario means that God is out of the equation, and both scenarios mean that Cain has pried it out of God's hand somehow." she said followed by a concerned expression "I would love to have you come here early, but it seems that you're not ready, being a 7-star mage isn't enough for you to go against his sheer numbers of soldiers, especially the extinction class."

That's true, Michael's powers alone already equalize a 10-star mage, but I can withstand it due to my immunity to light-related powers in the power Lucifer possess when I was given it, and I can tell from a glance that it's much stronger than Lucifer's powers and only the Satan form can oppose it, and in a fair fight of only using our powers, I'll lose.

Assuming that that's an extinction class, with Cain having a lot more in his arsenal...I currently can't go against that guy, if I can bring Lilith and Maple along...but even then, that guy will probably have some sort of device to trap and isolate me, I need to be ready for that kind of situation, so I need to be at least at the 9th star for that.

"You possess 2 of them yourself, one that can switch for another." she pointed out

"I never called myself a responsible individual, I'm very honest about my selfish and greedy desires, that's why I'm pursuing several of your daughters.

"The word is love." she said it for me

"I know, but my mouth can't say something that makes me look too affectionate despite my feelings."

"Well, I just plan on being a mistress, you don't have to worry too much, we don't even have to have children." she responded

"Is that a confession?"

"You can perceive it as such."

"So why do you like me again?"

"Well, probably when I possess Meira's body, her affection for you has sort of merged with my soul."

"You have a soul?"

"Is that an insult?" she asked as I can feel my cup of coffee becoming more and more unbearably hot by the second

"No, I didn't know gods or goddesses have souls, I didn't mean that you have no empathy or whatever."

"Well, for the record, we do, that's why we can become mortals, Cain is the only individual where I can't sense one." she responded

"Then aren't your feelings for me...well...artificial? Meira has probably forgotten about me already, and the fact that you hold onto these artificial feelings for so long...well, you need to have your soul checked? And what about Jerah?"

"Did he not tell you that he's already seeing another goddess?"

"Are you sure that you aren't using me as an excuse to like get back at him?"

"What? I'm not that petty, we're good friends, not enemies, we just broke off due to disagreement between ideals."

"Well, let's focus on the more serious situation at hand, do you think that Cain plans to stop himself in the past from killing his brother?"

"I have thought about that?" Dawn nodded "But it will reset everything as we know it, you may no longer exist."

"What, why?"

"Well, Jerah only told me this the other day..." she then hesitated "But you and Cain, you're related. That's why I brought you here."

"Many stronger projects are children of his, he uses his own genes to create powerful vessels." she explained "Some escaped, but they are always tracked down till they're eliminated, bringing in some of their younger children to experiment on, that's the history of your family, Luke, not only did the project killed your family to bring you in, but you're also related to the mastermind of the project that tormented you."
