*SMACK*
The entire student body observed as Sado Yorimitsu, the most popular student in the school, picked on a less fortunate classmate in the classroom.
That boy is me, Kurai Jigoku, I stand at five foot eleven inches tall. My hair is short and dark, complementing my darkly contrasted eyes. I have an average build, nothing too muscular or too skinny, my skin is a light tan color and I'm usually dressed in comfortable, casual clothes. I'm rather unremarkable in appearance, nothing particularly unique about me.
Sado is bullying me for no specific reason other than he believes I am a 'loser.'
"Comon get up loser! Don't tell you're unconscious?" Sado yelled angrily as he saw me lying motionless on the ground, eyes shut tight and pretending to be unconscious in order to get him to leave me alone.
I was not always his victim, infact it all began in my first year of Aizengawa High School when I made the mistake of trying to stand up for my classmate. I'm not particularly intelligent or physically powerful, unlike Sado who is effortless the smartest in class, built like an athelte and plays all sports. So naturally my heroic moment ended in vein.
He would continuously bully me after that day. Doing all sorts of torture, from beating me to a pulp, taking my money, to even shoving my face in a toilet. You name it, I went through it.
He made my school life a living hell, I had reached a point where I was so desperate that I seriously contemplated suicide, but in the end I lacked the courage to follow through.
It was no secret that I was suffering as he did torment me infront of our classmates and teachers. But, Sado was super handsome, rich and would often donate large sums of money to school. The teachers, who is unsympathetic and dishonest, ignored the situation and shifted all the blame and false accusations onto me, presenting Sado as the "hero" in the scenario.
In even went as far to point they called my mother. I tried to tell her and the principle that everything was all Sado and that he abused me mentally and physically but they didn't belive me. Labbled me as a liar and that such a well behaved student such as Sado wouldn't do such a thing.
Fast forward to this current time, I'm now in my fifth year of school, and the bullying has only become more severe as the years have gone by.
"I'm simply gonna die a loser because that's what the world wants? It's not fair, I can't stand it."
"Good, hero? Screw that. There is no such thing as hero in this world."
I was lying on the ground in the classroom with Sado standing over me, his piercing red eyes glaring down. My peers were seemingly in awe of him, following his every instruction without question as if he was some sort of god.
"If I only had the opportunity, I promise I would make all of your lives a living torment." I said to myself angerily.
Suddenly, while I was expressing my rage and exasperation in my mind, a radiant black light shone throughout the entire classroom.
**SHAKE**
The the entire classroom began to shake and everyone in the classroom was forced to cover their eyes. I felt the ground beneath me start to tremble and the light seemed to become brighter and brighter. It was like I was being pulled into a black hole and my body was being taken to some far-off place in an instant.
I wondered to myself, "What is going on?" I felt as though I was flying through the cosmos, surpassing the limits of space and time. My mind was hazy and my thoughts were disorienting.
The feeling was overwhelming and I felt like I was standing still in the midst of a whirlwind of energy. I felt a strange sensation in my body, as if I was being pulled in different directions.
After a few moments, the darkness faded away and I found myself in a blank space with my classmates. I was left wondering, "What just happened?"
My classmates all gazed around the room, noticing nothing but white in every direction. A feeling of unease started to spread and the room filled with anxious chatter.
Suddenly, a distortion appeared before us and a figure seemed to be emerging from it. It was a woman, wearing all white and her complexion had a radiant sheen. Her hair was blonde, her eyes were blue, and she had a sophisticated bearing, but her beauty was truly astonishing.
"My name is Izanagi, The Goddess of Life and I've summoned you all here", she remarked, her voice was soothing like the sound of the sea, yet authoritative.
"All of you has been summoned to this place to put a stop to the Demon King, 'Shuten Doji' from getting all the strength he has been restricted from and demolishing the entire globe within fifteen years!" she continued.
One of the students asked, "Do we get any special abilities or talents?" The Goddess nodded her head and gestured for us to look to the lower left corner of our field of vision.
I was astounded at the resilience of my classmates, who remained serene and composed despite the strange circumstance.
I looked towards the left of my vision which seemed to display my stats and abilties, almost like an rpg game system.
[Name: Kurai Jigoku]
[Race: Human]
[Affinity: None]
[Skills: None]
[Mana: Unlimited]
[Class: Immortal]
[Status: None]
I crossed my arms, one hand touching my chin as my eyes first noticed my Immortal Class. "Immortal? Is that normal?" I questioned to myself with a curious look.
I also glanced at my mana level, wondering, "Do I have a seemingly limitless supply of mana? Isn't that a bit too powerful?"
Soon enough, the other students in my class started to find out what their stats were. "I got the Swordsman class!" shouted a boy on the far left. "I have an affinity for Fire!" exclaimed a girl a bit ahead of me. "I got a rare-ranked Skill!" another student shouted.
"Wait, wait. How come the rest of my classmates got Affinities and Skills while I got nothing?" I said to myself with a paincked face.
Some of my classmates were voicing their concerns, inquiring whether they had the option to return home, but The Goddess disregarded them.
I rasied my hands to Goddess to ask a question. To which she responded, "Go ahead."
"So what happens when someone does not have an Affinity or Skill?" I asked. The Goddess stared at me blandly before responding. "Well it is only natural for the humans I summon to have atleast more than one Affinity or Skill."
"But if it so happens one does not have neither than I'm afraid your doomed, no helping it." She added with a emotionless tone.
I was feeling a bit discouraged that, even with the possibility of reincarnation, I was still considered hopeless. I reminded myself, "There's no point in being upset, I still have this Immortality Class to work on, so there's no need to get my hopes down!"
"It appears that you are all set with your Stats", the Goddess noted. She then proceeded to chant a magical incantation, and with a wave of her hands, all of us were to be transported to the fantastical realm of DanaFall, where we would meet her successor, the Saintess.
"May fortune be with you", she said as she cast her spell, and I found myself suddenly engulfed in a void.
