Chapter 17 Adoption Battle

"Choose fast boy...we don't have whole day." Asked Frank furiously.

"Wait...I think I know why he isn't choosing..." Said enkon.

Aaron got more confused as he listened to enkon's statement.

"Why...?" Leona asked.

"Miss can you stand up...?" Enkon asked the lady in black gown kneeling down besides Aaron.

"Huh...me ?" She got shocked as she looked at enkon with dumbfounded expressions.

"Yes you..."

She stood up after listening to enkon.

"You are a one star noble Chad Irwin's daughter Serena Irwin right."

"Y-Yes my lord."

"So he Adopted by your family right..?"

Hoo...so he thinks I am already adopted by another noble family...

If I can pretend that I am already adopted then I can get out of this situation fast and safe.

Aaron and Serena looked at each other with confused faces.

Serena had no choice but to accept the challenge she removed her gloves and gave them to the knights.

"Then it's decided the Adoption Battle will take place after 15 days on the upcoming Kingdom dance of the fourth princess and king will be there as a witness too." Said Frank.

"8 p.m. Sharp..in the castle's Colosseum until then young man." Enkon said to Aaron as both parties departed to their own ways.

But Aaron is long gone from this conversation his body was standing there but his mind is not present there.

They are like 6 almost my age and they can decide a fucking battle which is going to be witnessed by the king is this the power of nobility.

When Aaron looked at his father he suddenly came out of his hazzy state. He noticed that Serena is gone from his side...He then looked around for serena.

Suddenly he saw her going into an alley way.

"Dad I forgot something in one shop I will come back fast so wait for me." Aaron said as he started running.

"Hey i can come with you....if you want...?"

"No thanks dad."

Aaron got in the alley way and ran towards Serena.

"Hey Serena stop..." Aaron shouted.

But Serena didn't stopped walking.

"Serena..." Aaron grabbed her shoulder.

When Aaron looked at her face her face is fully covered in tears and despair is all over her face.

She was also mumbling something to herself.

She looked in a hazzy state of mind.

"Huh...? You..." suddenly she saw Aaron's face and came out of her hazzy state.

"You...You....You are the sole reason for what happened back there...you are the reason why my family is going to be discarded from the noble title...you are the reason for everything."

"Hey hey...cool take a deep breath...and think isn't there any method to cancel this match."

"No...if one noble gets challenged by an upper noble then you cannot refuse their challenge in any condition and last resort is to fight or run...but if you tried to run you will be executed in the centre of the city....uwahhhhhhhh"

She started crying loudly after saying this...

"Hey calm down if fighting is the last resort then I will fight on your family's behalf..." Aaron said with full confidence.

Serena stopped crying for a moment as she looked at the confident face of Aaron.

"Uwahhhhhhhhhhh..." Then she again started crying.

After some time Serena calmed down and went her own way.

Aaron then went back to his village with his father....

In the carriage going to Aaron's village...

"Hey algar have you listened about the upcoming Adoption Battle...?" Asked Ronald.

"Yeah it's between nobles on the upcoming kingdom dance..."

"Are you going...?"

"Yeah..."

"Then I will go too."

"Hey Aaron what did you bought...?" Nelda asked.

"Oh nothing only this book..." Aaron showed a single book named 'Faming with mana' to Nelda. As he hided the other books in his space bag.

"Just a book.." Nelda said.

"Yeah I like reading..."

"Nii-san...look Elena bought a doll..." Elena said.

"Nice Elena I know someone who bought the same thing when she was three..." Aaron said as he took a glance at Nelda.

"H-Hey I was also a child back then....but look I bought a spell book and a dress this time..." Nelda said with an embarrassed face.

"Good for you..."

This time it's not a small matter. I have messed a big time. But I can't include my family in this...I have to become stronger in upcoming 15 days.

But the bigger problem is...how am I going to fight when mom and dad are also going to be their too.
