I forgot that she hadn't answered me yet, but I felt a bit excited that I quickly ran towards my place and took out something from the pocket within inside the main zipper, before I returned to where she was---all within two minutes.
It was possibly the fastest time that I ran, and I was panting the moment we met eyes once more.
"Pfft... why did you run? If your place was THAT close you could've mentioned it and I could wait a bit more."
"But knowing you... you might just... run off after a minute... which is actually quite unbelievable... since you're still here."
I slowly made my way towards her and handed her a piece of torn page from one of my notebooks, and her white and delicate hand quickly took it.
She folded out the piece of paper, and her face became serious as she started to read its contents.
-----
In our life, things always doesn't go like we want to
Even if how matter how much we do to gain something we want... or need...
-----
But there's always a way... there's always a way...
-----
We can't give up since in every end of a page of a book, it just means that we have to find another one...
-----
I'll always protect you
I care for my own life though
I'll gladly make sacrifices
I have my own time though
-----
I'll give you things that I can
I have my own thoughts though
I'll always keep going on
I have my own ways though
-----
We've seen each other from a far angle
We try to be close to each other
But so inconsistent...
How matter what we do or try to keep closer
We can't stick together
-----
It hurts more, because it'll never hurt if we've never ever seen each other in the first place
It must've been a very painful night whenever there are times that we think how powerless we are, since we can't be any closer to one another
-----
You'd be thinking maybe it was better if I was in a parallel world
Since you'll never see me even once, nor know any of my existence
Nor my name, my face, my appearance... my life...
Though... I'm always thinking about the opposite side...
-----
I'd always think it was better if we've been in a single world
Since I'll always be able to see you, to follow you, and to know you more
About you, your name, your face, your appearance... everything...
Though... this kind of dream will be always selfish... and a kind of dream that won't be able to come true...
-----
Still... Even just once if we coincide...
I'll break my own path... just to find you
Because that moment that we meet each other in our paths
My heartbeat went fast, but I know it's only just the intro...
Who knows? There are always more...
-----
Things that will eventually happen...
Things that will make us closer...
Things that will make us deeper...
Things that will make us fall for each other...
-----
And finally...
There's no more reason to say what lies next...
Because there will be always that 'thing' in the end
That will always lie down in our hearts.....
-----
A certain thing that we don't have from the start.
-----
It didn't even take five minutes for her to finish everything, yet she folded the paper once more and kept it somewhere on her person.
"Eh?"
I held my hand in front of her, and gestured with my palm facing upwards; that I wanted the paper back.
"Huh? I thought this was for me? Why do you want me to give it back?"
"Wha--- No! I didn't say it was for you, but I only wanted you to read it!"
"Sorry, finders keepers."
With a slight crouch, she kicked the ground and sped up as she ran away.
"HEY WAIT!"
Of course I tried to chase her.
The sun was already rising, and more and more people were watching us as we ran. I can also see that most of the guys' eyes were glued to her as if she was some kind of mobile idol, and I was even ignored on the way, which made me bump a few people on the way.
Finally we passed the school and I already don't know where she would go after that, and I felt some fear for getting lost in a place I'm not familiar with so I stopped chasing her already.
"Hah...hah... Let's see on Monday...."
I was already out of breath too as I had already ran earlier before her. She also had a good headstart, and the road became something like an obstacle course for me, but not for her which somehow automatically parted people away as she went though as if she was unzipping a long zipper.
It was a fun run for me though, the only worst thing that happened was that she still had that piece of paper that I haven't yet memorized.
That was supposed to be for Esyllt which I plan to give, just a test how she would react, which I also thought of at the moment when Moriana was earlier with me.
I initially wanted to find out if she would like the freestyle poem that I made because just rhyming words all the time is hard to execute, after all.
"Well, from her reaction she probably liked it... Or not? She took a glance at it within a few minutes after all. How fast is her brain to actually process everything I wrote in a short span of time!?"
I originally planned to memorize that after some time I wrote it but it's too late now. I won't be able remember every single detail as that piece was a bit long.
For now I've resigned the poem's fate to her, and hope that she returns it on Monday... hopefully.
Going back home with nothing much to do, I turned on my PC and opened my game. As it loaded, I opened the browser and went inside the forums to look for the legendary items.
"If I remember right... yep, it's here."
My left hand supported my head as a pillar on the desk as my right hand did all the job clicking and scrolling everywhere.
I reviewed all the items and found StarQuincy09's needed materials.
"So that's what you're looking for, huh?"
This time, I plan to sell the item that he needs on the open market, and when he does buy it and finally complete his legendaries, it'll be time for Esyllt to finally show up.
"I'm such a genius but why didn't I think of this, days earlier?"
With that I copied the item list and pasted them on a notepad, before I confirmed that that guy still hasn't gotten his hands on that final leg.
"I hope my efforts will have fruit... oh, shit." I don't have a single poem to give to Esyllt as of now.
"That would naturally come when she finally has feelings for me later."
After that, I tried to find the blackstar dude and asked him, but he won't reply so I started to grind instead.
Having another legendary item won't hurt my GK anyway, and it would prove to be useful just in case he doesn't want it anymore. I could also sell the materials for those who wants to create that item, and buy materials that I need instead.
Also, Merk might worry again once I start grinding since I'll be focused, so I sent him a message that I'm fine and if he wants to go here he should bring some food. I instantly got a reply that said [lazy bum] before the grind started.
...
It took me about three hours, and I completed everything.
"That's weird. The iicheck said it was 0.008% chance to drop yet it appeared within three hours. Did I just use up my luck for the year?..."
There was another thing, though. There were not much people on the farming grounds where I went. The last time I went here I even got myself killed by a few guilds that were looking for that same item, but now they weren't even here.
"Doesn't look like there's maintenance at all. Players are online too. There are no events, either. Just what the heck is happening?"
Since I've got everything that I needed, it's time to go at the open market.
For this transaction, I have to use my merchant character to increase the actual gold that I'll receive after the items are sold. So far the highest percentage is thirty percent, which is actually quite high. Let's say I sell the item that he needs for a hundred million, then I'll get a hundred and thirthy million gold, which is enough for me to get my needed item for my own legendary item.
There was one downside to selling in this way though; the character has to be logged off and be assigned to an AI that will roam and auto-shout around the place.
"So I won't know when it'll be actually sold, but... That's why I made an alt account!"
It's not a genius idea, really, and I should've just used my alt-account to sell it but using my alternate account like this just makes me somewhat like off-radar since everyone I know on my main won't know that I'm actually still online.
I could also not go for the logoff and auto-shout but it would be much harder since I would have to copy and paste repeatedly what I'm trying to sell, which is a hassle.
Since the time was only 1 PM, I still had so much to do yet there was only boredom right now.
"Ezzie? Are you there?"
Suddenly, I heard someone call me from outside the house.
Sorry for the late update! Here's your chapter!
Anyway, what do you think about the book? Let me know in the comments :D
