The first phase to let go

The keys always had been carried long with her. Like a habit of carrying house keys or car keys. Not the ones of her house, but of her HOME. Her safe place, which had helped her live this long. Still does of course.

Every series of attack she has had this whole time, with no expected one to relieve her, she has always resorted and returned to the place she called her actual home. The warm and dimly lit neon place …. which still has Ace's creative touch and scent lingering around.

The certain salvation of the place had a calming effect on her, and a method to relax after every hardship she has tackled. Every argument in her house or after each attempt to force in to a place containing mentally affected ones, she had hidden in this very place to escape reality. It smelled of Ace and his aura still vibe.

It is her own safe place. A lonely place to call home.

Jay must have gained a lot of luck during her birth. Because each time she's about to give up finally, one or the other strange miraculous interference has always protected her in the most peculiar way possible.

Thus, when the Raven had asked, more like commanded of her for a shelter to cleanse himself off of the mess and cold, she couldn't think of any other second place. Leading him to her …their own home of escape.

- What's the name Rare?

Rare? Is he addressing her? Jay paused and looked back with slight confusion.

- Rare? That's not it.

- I suppose you're still not aware of the term your kind is known as.

- I suppose it's called Humans!

The reply was curt and layered with irritation.

The Raven chuckled deeply," Beautiful delusion you've got".

Jay chose to ignore his ancient language of fuck and resumed her on her steps.

"That cunt taught you well", he said with the pure intention of touching a nerve. Wasn't a very big fan of silent treatments.

The intense immediate glare thrown at him said that he was indeed successful.

Even though the sick excuse of a Raven saved Jay in a creepy way, Jay already hated him. His perfect choice of words even prevented her to study a good look at his face. He is clearly trying to make her act up.

A moment of silence passed as the silent treatment continued, along with a frustrating atmosphere as the Raven followed Jay.

- You didn't say the name yet.

This time the voice was a little serious, Jay knew he isn't playing anymore.

- Jay!

Short and rude. His voice had enhanced Jay's natural obedience to directly him. She had always been one, but this time he had stamped a sort of control over her. Might be the effect of letting her leaving out her frustration on him, or the nonsense of a contract with him. She started feeling that she can't give herself to no one but him.

- Full name!

Another annoyingly dominating order! Jay reveals to be a sadist in nature. But she can't help getting submissive to him.

And what on earth the fuck is he? Spotting out the lie outta nowhere? Him, being of such an unheard creature is true then. Else he won't have such access to her mind this easily.

Jay presumed him to be another sociopath like Ace himself. Reading faces well. But he is a lot more than what meets the eyes. He's been travelling through her mind. She felt such foreign intruder in herself.

And she had thought she has seen almost all the hidden existence on earth. Him, being an addition. More than expectation. Might be as well temporary, like him! Of course! They're all the same. She has nothing to lose.

- Jay ...Jaylynne Steins.

Cursed to have stuttered. The very blessing bestowed upon her, which she has never used for years. Of course, she wouldn't. Too much of a taste for that.

- Jaylynne you say? ...Sin for you to bear such a name.

Jay cracked on her steps.

He fucking did it again!!!

Seasoned one of her open wounds selfishly. He just had to say it out loud.

Jay knew. She knew the meaning of the god damn fucked up name! And she also knew that the likes of her kind can't afford that as a name. Ace had called her that a few times, with no intention in his eyes to inflict the burden of the pain of it's meaning. He loved her name, he said it was beautiful for her and only suited her and no one. The effect was neutral on her. She didn't hate it coming from him. Because he loved it.

But this Raven, son of a bitch!

One call from his mouth, and that could melt Jay to the sands. The way he accented the name, almost electrocuted from within her veins. It screamed – A corrupted outcast has no rights to behold such purity.

He coated her name with venom in his voice, from his depths of hell, making it sound sinful and lose its last bit of leftover innocence. That's it. Fucking Raven!

He waited for a paused Jay to do something.

With the last of her sanity and actions, and the Raven trying to get rid of it. It worked!!!

Jay finally lost all that belonged to her that very moment.

She couldn't even dare to mourn in Ace's name anymore. She realized how much filthy she has become and burned up all his promises. She can't, wouldn't do it for a fucking dead person anymore. Her determination was gone. He was nothing but a bitch of a liar.

And Jay had snapped already!

All the Raven had to do was point it out for her by calling her name once.

Just like Ace had said, she is as good as dead now. Even killed a living corpse.

She's gonna be the corpse from this time and forth now.
