Solo besiege

"You look like shit!", an apology wasn't very expected by the arrogant Raven, but another insulting comment wasn't appreciated either.

Jay wasn't in any better position to retort back either. Keeping her mouth shut seemed like a better option for the moment. She had initiated the morning dispute, snapping really to the limit of losing her mind, earning them both negative impacts. She wasn't really sure what had caused that, but the very idea of killing had seemed very intriguing to her at that time, to notice anything else. It never had happened before, but it had something to do with last night when she had been in rage and had suppressed it without release.

"Feels more like shit", she mumbled and agreed, feeling too tired to hold aid against the massive bruise.

Wave had joked about his incapability to heal her with his powers, coz it only worked on himself. Thus, she ought to take better caution and not attain further injuries. As in future, brawls were bound to come her way. She had to kill!

He was busy with himself till he exits from the kitchen, noticing Jay frozen still with the ice pack on her side. Walking over, he took it himself and pressed it against her cheek, her palm sandwiched in between he process.

The swell had alarmingly multiplied towards her lips.

She didn't resist, looking directly at his eyes for any change. None! Neutral!

Then the dreading thoughts exploded in her mind, there would another episode when she reaches home for sure. Not like she would spare any answer for hell's sake, but Arthur had grown cautious since she had started coming home all whooped. And Chris, well the only sane one had finally lost it too.

The fact, that she had been unable to hide Ace better because of her incompetence in covering up with better lies, had led to his death. If not careful this time around, things might trace back to Wave as well. The Raven might be able to escape easily, but she didn't want to lose again to herself.

As much she hated that as a compliment, but Arthur's position had earned him some useful connections.

She kept staring with all the obnoxious thoughts running wild in her mind, as the Ash-blonde just flashed his eyes pink for a mere second.

Curious about the theory, she asked," What do you feel?".

"Hm?", Wave hummed leaning down to focus better on his task," this needs to get better". He must have felt Jay's emotions.

"The eyes were pink for a second", she stated.

"Were they?", Wave said," Must be guilt. I went through that overly full mind of yours".

- Ironic!

- You need to stop that.

His hand momentarily froze on Jay's cheek as he was frozen with a little realization. Finally, his eyes shifted from the wound towards her eyes.

"You're really sharp, aren't you?", he held back his amused smile," Since when?".

- A while now, you tend to shift them a lot often.

- It works on its own, kind of fidgety. I don't control it.

- Really ironic.

- Why do you keep repeating that though?

- Lighter shades denote positive emotions, darker ones are negative.

- Oh, real smart! What does that explain?

- That, its strange for light to exist in your emotions. Guilt, concern, care or pain aren't supposed to be your cup. Not after ....

Wave's hand had frozen again.

This time a little harder against the injury that Jay had to shut her right eye.

His eyes flashed another unknown shade of Maroon. Closer to the range of wine color. The face contoured itself accordingly as his sly smirk return, accompanied with a harsh clench of jaws. His eyes carefully studying Jay before returning to black again. His mind returning back to the shameless stunt he had pulled the other night. That why it was fucking ironic!

Slowly, he beamed at the female, not respecting sense of distance as she didn't move away as well. The ice pack dropped on the couch. His hand bare, lifting and cupping Jay's massive bruise.

This time, she flinched due to direct physical contact.

"The contract doesn't just seal your fate to me, babe. You've basically sold yourself to me, and I make sure to keep what I own, in one piece!", Wave whisper spoke, eyeing her lips," But that doesn't mean that my privileges will go in vain. I want to humiliate you; you will accept that shame. I degrade you, you'll in gratitude. I wanna fuck you, you'll take it good for me. And you will comply on your own. I'm an Elite class Raven, and you a sacrificial Rare. You're mine to tame, mine to shame, mine to fuck, mine to care and mine to keep or own. Understood?".

A response wasn't actually required since it wasn't any question asked. Simply an announcement of dominance by the Raven. Jay couldn't have objected anyways.

Wave produced a familiar dagger from his back, now squeaky clean and shiny, handing it over to Jay.

"Here you go, and I'm making sure I'm not the one beneath it's tip next time", he cleared.

"What do you mean?"

- We're going hunting tonight.

- Hunt?

- To quench that beast in you. Can't have me die again, do we?

Jay accepted the blade a second time and traced the white roses with vines with her thumb. It was truly a beautifying piece of art. Detailed. And that's why not of this world.

So is Wave.

Mysterious words, and stunning to look at.

And not from this world.

Which world does Jay belong to??

..........................................

Czech Helios was a nobody to the world.

He had poor birthing with the regular abuse in poverty and pressure from his mother. The father was a pimp and also worked at the brothel, luring women with his immense good looks and one single mistake of a night had brought Helios to the world and lead a no-good life.

His schooling was another story of failure that the next step education didn't seem like a bother worth continuing. He had no exceptional talents and had even inherited his mother's moderate looks. Doing odd jobs, just to feed himself and his hag, Helios wasn't even cut out to build a proper family.

He was an A-rated pervert and had been pulled in custody twice for eve-teasing and other disgusting attempts in public.

The mother had died a lack of treatment death, but more of a lack of unbothered and carelessness. Helios wasn't even home for a whole day that time and had casually buried the body upon finding out and with no serious remorse.

He had held on to his immoral values in life, surviving through odd jobs, picking fights with thugs and sometimes stealing or bullying.

He had lived a useless life and died a in vain death as well.

And when it was sure that his body was gonna rot on the ridiculous infection as a cause, with no one to even bury it, Helios had re-opened his eyes to the world!!!

Without the same Czech Helios as a controlling mind, Helios had returned back in life.

His infections healed and personality changed. A different demeanor and with a positive life approach.

The guy was still pale and dead as good, but living.

With people, no more cautious of him, and appreciating his polite nature and optimistic mindset, he had started a stable job in a local coffee shop. He respected women and all his customers, treating them like god which pulled in more sales. This Helios made people believe in humanity once again. His transformation even started to make him appear look like a prince.

"But he isn't human himself", Wave sipped on his coffee, looking over the soft-spoken guy being cooed over by customers.

To make matters clearer, the banished had sheltered himself well in that body. For him, it was no dead body free of all diseases, feelings or desires.

It was a second chance of continuation to live in hiding from the council. The human realm being the best choice. He spread kindness and received the same in return, unlike other high-class Ravens. He resisted imprisonment to the council or worse, free himself of all temptation and disappear from everyone's memories forever.

He lived well in the dead body, controlled by a Raven's mind alone.

"He seems nothing like you had described", Jay spoke warily," He is innocent Wave!".

"Indeed that's' strange", Wave nodded frowning a bit," Reports say, he had taken shelter for more than a month now. And had got away without even killing one".

"You are disappointed on the fact".

"Not really very normal for a wandering Rogue", Wave stated," Might turn easy for us...You! To be precise!"

"I don't want to do it", Jay lowered her voice," shifting her gaze before it could meet with Wave's. She missed them as they turned veiny grey color," He is harmless".

"He is a Rogue, that's all we need to know", Wave blinked away the change.

"If I weren't dragged in this…...", Jay continued," He would another kind human to me. We are kind of in lack of those".

"You were never dragged in this Jay. You always belonged here, a part of this since birth", Wave's rage died down as he sensed her distress," You were assigned for this in the contract. If you would deny, your chronic would keep piling up ultimately killing you in the end. You're already unstable as it is".

"What will happen, when I – I...", hesitation in her voice.

"After you kill him", Wave finished the cruelty," …...his soul shall be free of all corruption and any further shelter. It'll return to the council creation slab with all memories lost and will be directed to a new Raven body. The dagger is no ordinary present, it assures of the soul's inability to take any corpse as shelter anymore. This cycle needs to continue, Jay, it's a balance we need to maintain. Else Ravens will go extinct forever".

Jay could force an unsure nod.

Wave grew desperate as he met her shaky pupils," You will do it, right? It's too soon for the contract to break into ashes".

It was an indirect warning for Jay, that a refusal from the Raven's assignment would result in contract breach.

Jay surely had no more hope after this, if Wave leaves that is. No one actually would stay for her and mean it for real.

But she wasn't herself ready to let go once again. Even after receiving the horrific trauma of a corpse returning from a bloodbath caused by her, who had her dignity ripped of her, showing symptoms of bipolarity, caring and intimating at the same time along with visual and verbal assault and now, to go around killing Rogue Ravens.

All this from the annoying excuse of a Raven, Wave!!!

Not very uncommon for her to have historic past with boys, but Wave was a whole different nutcase.

The inhuman creature had already shattered what was left of her, half into dust! And yet, he was holding her back together.

Only in 3 days since the meeting.

Being aware of her incoming fate, she still had raised her head and looked dead in Wave's eyes.

"I'll do it for you!"

She declared.

And that made the guy finally smile and sip on his coffee again.

God! She was gorgeous as sin itself.
