4.02 SANGUINE LOVE: Tragic beginning
Cassander Alexion stands before a clear pool of water. The atrium above reveals a wonderful splay of stars, their glittering brilliance reflected in the canvas of water below.
Cassander, stripped of his armor, wears simple mage garments which feature a pristine white tunic with blue-silver trimmings. There's no one else and only the subtle hum of the wind can be heard.
The man holds out his hand, palm facing down. A shimmering blue glow appears and the water begins to ripple. Mana is ripped out of Cassander's body, strings of light pouring out from his downturned hand. His white trousers reflect the blue pours into the pool of water.
But he, the Lord Captain, has plenty to give. So he feeds the ravenous pool until the reflection begins to shimmer and twist as well, the stars lighting up with a myriad of dazzling colors.
The hues meld and from the mess of glittering lights that litter as images slowly begin to form.
