Strategy to find Monique

Michelle gave Laura a worried look.

"Okay, we've been walking and searching for a long time now. We won't be able to think clearly for much longer anymore. We can even make a mistake because we're losing focus," she explained while keeping a hand on Laura's shoulder and looking steadily into her eyes to keep her focused.

"But we can be missing her as we speak," Laura remarked while scanning the crowds that were rushing past them on the pavement.

"Even so, we will still find her if we get this into the social newspapers and describe the kidnapper and the baby. Many people will be looking for her in no time.

Trust me, let's just get into this restaurant, sit down, have coffee and get as much help as we can.

I promise. You won't be sorry."

Laura turned around and looked at the restaurant.

"Okay then. I guess you're right. Let's sit down and strategize," she agreed and allowed Michelle to steer her into the coffee shop entrance.

A waiter ushered them to a table as soon as they entered and handed them their menus.

"We will have some of your house brand coffee, that's all, thank you," Michelle told the waiter as they sat down.

"The coffee will make us concentrate better," Michelle explained to Laura.

"Wait a minute, I don't know anyone in France. How can they help me in the local media?" Laura asked, staring at Michelle with big, questioning eyes.

"Don't worry. I will approach local newspapers and small radio and television stations myself. They will know exactly how to help," Michelle responded quickly. She then got her phone out of her bag.

"Great, then. You do that," Laura responded as she looked around the coffee shop, trying to spot Monique.

"Wait, I can't just sit here idle. I have to do something. She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes for a few moments.

"I know who can track her down, even from a distance!" she exclaimed suddenly when the waiter approached with their coffee. Some of the other customers turned around to see what was going on.

"Who's that? Who are you talking about?" Michelle asked, frowning at Laura in confusion.

"A friend back home who's joining us here later. She's a psychic, so she will have an answer soon," Laura responded in a low tone of voice after the waiter served their coffee.

Michelle stared at Laura with her eyes stretched wide and her mouth open.

"You have a friend who's a psychic?" she asked.

"Yes, she can help," Laura responded as she began to type away on her cell phone. She did not have time to entertain Michelle's shock or curiosity.

Michelle resumed to sip at her coffee while she continued with her part of the kidnap reporting on her phone.

"That's it. Now Carminda will try to find out where Monique is," Laura announced shortly afterwards.

Michelle looked up from her own phone.

"Oh, is that her name? The psychic lady?"

"Yes. She's very good at finding information when Blake and I are clueless," Laura responded as she began to sip at her coffee with a distracted look on her face.

"Something awful has happened! Blake and Laura's child has been abducted in Paris!" Carminda said over the phone when she called Shannon.

"No, is that true?" Shannon asked in disbelief.

"Yes, apparently it's an abduction," Carminda explained quickly.

"Oh, no! But, isn't that why they wanted to have a nanny?"

"It just happened, apparently, in spite of having a nanny. It sounds as if this was a planned abduction. I will have to find out everything about the situation so that I can help," Carminda replied.

"Can you sense the child? Is she still okay, wherever she is?" Shannon asked in a note of deep concern.

"I have a strong sense that she's alright. I must just find out who took her and why," Carminda responded while she struggled to focus on finding a possible suspect.

"Well then, I will leave it to you. Use your skills."

Carminda paced up and down in her formal lounge where she was expecting visitors for the evening.

"This is very urgent. Is Europe safe as far as kids are concerned? Anyway, let me try and focus.

I need to ask some crucial questions, but can the parents answer now when they're in shock?"

She paced some more before she had an idea.

"I will have to speak to the nanny and find out what's going on. Where was she when this happened?

Maybe she has answers because she can think more clearly than Blake and Laura can right now."

Carminda then phoned Laura.

"Do you have an answer?" Laura asked immediately.

"I first need some precise information, so that I can concentrate properly.

I need to speak to the baby's nanny. Where can I get a hold of her?" Carminda asked.

"She's right here with me in this coffee shop. Do you want to talk to her?" Laura asked.

"Oh, so you were all together when this child abduction took place?"

"Yes and we were interrupted by a waitress for a very short time," Laura responded.

"But long enough to allow that person to leave with the child. But, don't panic and don't stress because Monique's gonna be alright when we find her," Carminda stated.

"Are you completely sure? Don't you need an assistant with a good sense of intuition as well, like Jacqueline, for instance? Won't it be better if there are two people on the project?" Laura asked.

"Oh, I forgot about Jacqueline. I'm sure that she can help in a way. Good idea. I will get in touch with her," Carminda agreed.

"Please contact her then," Laura requested in an urgent tone.

Carminda ended her call to Laura and phoned Jacqueline.

She explained the entire situation to Jacqueline as soon as she answered.

"Oh, my goodness! How terrible! Do you really think that I can help in this situation too?" Jacqueline responded, sounding bewildered.

"Yes, please try and find out who the abductor was? Focus powerfully and clear your mind of all distractions. Maybe you can trace Monique accurately. I will also try on my side," Carminda concluded before ending the call.

She then tried hard to think as she sat on a couch.

When she couldn't see anything about Monique in a vision, she rose and began to pace up and down.

After pacing, Carminda still did not know who the abductor was. She could not see any face in a vision.

"I will need a private detector, but Blake is the child's father, so, he won't concentrate effectively. He's bound to make mistakes because he's in a vulnerable state now. I can't ask him."

Carminda tried hard to think of a private detective friend of hers in Europe.

"Someone should speed up the search," she told herself.

"I wonder if Blake and Laura are safe themselves. What if it's the entire family that's at risk, like that last time in Greece?" she thought with a sense of anxiety welling up in her stomach suddenly.
